Keep going if you please. It’s 1.8 Million acres of wilderness made just for you! A true hunters paradise teeming with deer and other wildlife. The national forest is also accessible via Roger’s Pass and an easement. Bring your ATVs!If you like spectacular sunrises then this is the place for you. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera! Mr Jim was there to greet us as soon as we pulled in. He was a top notch host. He has taken great pride to make his park very inviting. We have a 32' class A motorhome. No issues everything was just as we need it. We will be staying there again.

Nice quiet place to get away. Kids and I enjoyed the stay, trail down to the river spot is a nice addition in my opinion. Tight in some areas but I was able to get my full size duramax no problem definitely would recommend a 4x4. Had a nice breeze all 3 days which is nice in June weather.

Winding Stair is anything but a normal campsite, and that starts with its remarkable owner, Jeana. My buddy and I took a chance on one night here and left with more than we expected.
If you want a dependable place to experience dispersed camping in a beautiful location, this is it. The property feels untouched in the best way. You feel like a guest among the creatures. The views look painted, with layers of bluffs and mountains fading from purple to blue under a wide open sky. When we visited in June, the sunset was pink and orange. Andrew Wyeth would have been jealous.
Make sure you contact Jeana before you leave so she can give specific directions. The map gets you to the entrance, not necessarily your exact space.
Untouched means untouched, so don’t expect perfect roads or cars passing by. This is for people who do not want to park in a state park lot beside everyone else.
Jeana has poured her spirit into this property as a way to heal from unimaginable grief, and you can feel that care in every part of the place. She wants you to have the experience you came for. Meeting her is honestly part of the stay.
It is about 45 minutes from Robber’s Cave, with Krebs not much farther. After the wilderness, support the Italian community there with a restaurant or market stop. The Big Foot Museum is nearby too, so what else do you need?
Thank you, Jeana, for sharing this place. I don’t think it will be Oklahoma’s best kept secret much longer.

If you want to get into the woods and away from everyone, put the cell phone away and enjoy nature. This is a great spot for you!
Note you'll need a 4x4 high clearance vehicle to drive back to the campsites Subarus need not apply. Love the little creeks and sleep into the sound of frogs. We didn't get to hike as much as we wanted to because it rained too much. Will explore more next time

Excellent location. Hank and Preston (two Great Pyrenees) were the best, they watched over us to make sure we were safe :o). Shannon and Brian were great hosts, friendly and wonderful communication before our arrival. The Ranch is stunning, my wife and I took a walk around their fields; stunning flowers and overall beautiful grounds.
We even bought a few items from their Farm Store.

Beautiful campsite right on the river. As others mentioned the drive in is a little rough, but I thought it added to the appeal. The fishing was great and the views are amazing. It is a beautiful area of OK. David was very polite and helpful. A+ camping!

Great place for being surrounded by nature and wildlife. Beautiful views and great camping areas. Nice spring fed water/swimming holes. 4x4 definitely recommend to get around property. Come with all supplies before getting to property as there is not anything close besides a gas station. Be prepared with firearm for protection as there is bear, wild boar etc. Great communication, directions and marking points of interest from the host Pail!

Be aware that Google Maps will direct you to the neighboring driveway at the end of the road. Back up to the previous driveway and you will be good to go.

Weekend Trip to Eagle's Nest LODGE, OK
Probably the coolest thing about Eagles nest is the view. There is an open deck and a covered deck for all weather. The cabin has all of the amenities with the exception of Wi-fi, though the Cell reception is excellent. The keyword here is “rustic.” It is a log cabin on a gorgeous hillside overlooking Lake Sardis. we had a great stay and would definitely go back. The wildflowers were blooming, and the butterflies were flying.

The land and river was beautiful. If you are car camping, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle, otherwise you will need to carry your gear a decent distance to the campsite. If you had backpacking gear, I think you would be fine.

Lake Eufaula State Park is so high on the good times scale you’re going to want to tell everyone! Hike the Bluebird Trail or rip roar down the paths while mountain biking. The Deep Fork Nature Center offers lots of opportunities for little ones in your life to learn about the fauna and flora in the park. Disc Golf at Hummingbird Beach offers killer lake views, or tee off the old school way on the 18-hole Fountainhead Golf Course. We would choose to live full time at this Campground if we could. It was really beautiful and not that many people were there at the time. They sell firewood at the camp host site.
