About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. At the designated tent camping sites, you will find oak groves that provide opportunities for shade. The RV sites are in a picturesque field that provides excellent views of the sunset. The field leads down to incredible cypress trees lining the Medina River. We also have a primitive camping area down by the river that requires you to park in a parking area and walk to your preferred camping spot. If you are looking for solitude and untouched nature, this is the place for you. The comforts of Bandera are conveniently only a 5 minute drive away. We are located less than 2 miles from Bandera City Park! At this time, all sites are completely dry. We do have porta-potties available. RV sites are boondocking only (no water or electric at this time.) Guests may stay at Memmie’s Farm for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights. Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

You'll also be able to catch one of the best breathtaking sunsets on the lake! The wildlife we have on the property is amazing! I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos! We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding. The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.  In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family. We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (: Check-in time is at 3 pm. Stay in one of seven cozy A-frame cabins, our vintage RV or bell tent, or bring your own tent and settle into the land. While you're here, wander the trails, cool off in the stock tank pools, sweat in the sauna, swing in the hammock grove, take in the dark night skies, or simply do very little at all. Shared amenities include two stock tank pools, a sauna, outdoor shower, shower house, bathrooms, hammock grove, yoga deck, commercial kitchen, and lounge with Wi-Fi. The Charmadillo was created as a place to slow down, reconnect, and spend time in relationship with nature. Expect quiet mornings, birdsong, big Hill Country views, plenty of room to wander, and a relaxed, communal atmosphere where the land is very much part of the experience. We're tucked away enough to feel removed while still making a great base for exploring the region. Lost Maples State Natural Area, Garner State Park, and Enchanted Rock are about an hour away, with Hill Country State Natural Area about 35 minutes away. Kerrville, Comfort, Bandera, and the surrounding Hill Country offer swimming holes, wineries, honky-tonks, restaurants, bars, and plenty more to explore. Located just 10 miles North of Downtown Montgomery on FM149 (23510 Martha Williams Road). We have 5.5 Acres that backs up to the Lone Star Hiking Trail in the Sam Houston National Forest. Our Campsites are set up along the LSHT between Trailhead 3 and 4, in the Pole Creek trail area. We have 7 campsites and 1 cabin that sleeps 4. The campsites all have fire pits. There is a pavilion with a summer kitchen and BBQ pits for cooking meals. Shower (with hot water) and restroom are available for campers. The Cabin (sleeps 4-5 Full size bed, pull out sofa, Loft for 2. Fully furnished with bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, toiletries. Parking is available on site and Shuttle Service is available to surrounding trail heads if needed.

We had the best time in this little cabin. Everything was tidy and nice. It was a quick drive for our Guadalupe Peak hike. We actually had phone signal the whole time we were there and Google Maps also worked. The window unit kept us cool in the day and warm at night

I had great time with the funky airstream backyard vibe. I live in this town and just wanted a change for a night to unplug and relax, I will use this location again, price was fair, host greeted me and offered any help I needed but then it was just a quiet place to hang out. No TV or Wi-Fi, was awesome!

Wes’s property was just a pit stop while heading north, but I’d gladly come back and spend several nights here. The ac helped keep us and the dogs comfortable during the Texas heat, and the views are out of this world. If you’re traveling past dusk, definitely use the precise gps coordinates he gives you to find the entrance since it can be hard to see at night. (Wes clearly mentions this and his directions are great). The deck’s views are spectacular and definitely the highlight of the property There is a bit of road noise till late at night since the property isn’t far from the road, but it can’t be heard while inside the shelter if ac is running.

What a beautiful treat out in the desert! The view of El Capitan from the roof top is superb. Wonderful, communicative hosts! Instructions were smooth and clear!! Clean outhouse facility. We really enjoyed our trip. This was our first camping trip after losing a dear family member - we had a mission to climb Guadalupe Peak again in honor of his birthday, and this was the perfect location to acclimate the day before and then relax afterwards at the end of the day!! Highly recommend booking with Good Guad!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are truly grateful for such a wonderful stay! ❤️ We visited last Saturday, and unfortunately, the rain came down quite heavily. We were a little worried that the weather might ruin our family camping experience, but our amazing host went above and beyond and generously allowed us to upgrade our booking to a cabin. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. Instead of worrying about the rain, we were able to relax, stay warm and comfortable, and simply enjoy precious time together as a family. 🥰 Thank you so much for your kindness, understanding, and hospitality. Sometimes it’s the little acts of kindness that make a trip truly memorable, and your thoughtfulness made our stay extra special. ❤️ We had such a great time and would absolutely love to come back again. I loved the way the cabins were spaced out enough for privacy. The grounds were nice. The only recommendation I have is to have the guest that are traveling with pets pick up their pets waste. I seen plenty of pet owners walk their dogs to use the bathroom but not pick up after them. Other than that it was great

Had a great time! It was our first glamp so if it helps anyone: wifi password is not in greeting msg and is in location listing, tent gets dark and outdoor shower doesn't have light so bring your lantern, and there is very limited surface to cook so bringing folding table helps.

Absolutely stunning, both the accommodation and location. We've been to quite a few unusual hipcamps and off-grid airbnbs and this was by far the cleanest and maintained of them all. We were able to get a hike in early and come back to rest in the AC before cooking lunch and heading out. I'd say we hope to be back sometime, but no idea when we'd be back this way. Would definitely recommend!
