The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others

Please note: We ask for photo ID. Once we receive your photo ID we will provide exact directions to our property. Please plan to check in no later than 4:30pm as we are not available for later check ins unless we agree to meet you.
We host NYS Police along with local police/sheriff deputies here through our organization Hearts in Hand Horsemanship LLC. Don't be surprised if you see a NYS trooper or police unit parked up in the field near the horses.
All fires must be completely out unless you are physically with your fire. We supply 5 gallons of water and more is available to drink, wash dishes and put your fire out. Please respect our rules. Fire safety is necessary to keep everything safe here for all of us. Thank you for understanding.
Here in the mountains we can experience very cold nights. We supply a small pile of firewood for a small fire at no charge. If you like, you can gather more dead wood (not live trees) in our forests. Please bring lots of clothes and layers. Stay warm!
Smoking: We are primarily a non-smoking/vaping farm and appreciate you smoking/vaping in your vehicle not on our premises please.
Partying: Nope not us. Our farm is peaceful and quiet and so are our neighbors. Please party elsewhere and come here to relax in the blissful quiet of nature. Quiet music, just playing some Spotify tunes and acoustic musicians are welcome here. There's a great bar restaurant 5 minutes from us, "17 Cherry Plain Sq". Live music, great food and something like 40 beers on tap. Party there then chill out here with us.
Breakfast and the best beef this side of the Mississippi can be found at Gardners Cafe and Icecream Shop only 5 miles up 22 South from our place. You can enjoy a big fat omelet with homefries and bacon then grab frozen hamburg and steaks from Gardner's own local beef grown wild and free outside.
Cherry Plain Sanctuary Farm is adjacent to miles of public forest. Peace and solace can be found in these quiet mountains. In addition to amazing hiking, backpacking mountain biking, road biking right from your Hipcamp site, with kayaking nearby.
We are 10 minutes away from Cherry Plain State Park (which has a gorgeous lake and kid-friendly sandy beach), and even closer to the Taconic Crest Trail.
Our location is nestled between the Taconics of New York, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
Come share our paradise, bring your outdoor adventurer gear (you will be glad you did) and we will share our favorite local destinations with you.
We ask that all hipcampers who are primary guests be 21 years of age or over. Children are welcome but we will not knowingly rent to anyone under 21 years of age.
There is a $50 additional charge for garbage left at our farm including cigarette butts (we are a no smoking farm!), broken glass, bottles, cans, plastics, containers, bags and other trash.
This is a pack in and pack out working farm not a party spot. Renting from us constitutes your reading of our rules attached to each property, your understanding and your agreement of our policies. Welcome to Four Willows Regenerative Farm! Ever since we moved onto this beautiful property a few years ago, we dreamed of sharing it with others. It is a truly magical and peaceful setting, and we hope you love it here as much as we do!
The property is made up of 48 mostly wooded acres. Our home, vegetable and herb gardens, mini-orchard of various fruit trees, and little farm are situated on the front few acres with the forest and campsites situated behind the barn and pond.
We currently have an off-grid luxury tent set up for your use in a small clearing near the front portion of the forest, as well as several spots throughout the forest available if you prefer rustic tent camping with your own set up. We're still growing, and hope to add water and electric one day, but for now we welcome you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and enjoy the off-grid experience. We have a communal portapotty set up with a makeshift handwashing station for your use, and you can feel free to bring a generator or rent ours.
We are happy to provide tours of the farm where you can meet the animals, or to show you around the forest. There are several easy trails throughout the woods, along which you will find raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms and other things to forage at various times of the year. It is a perfect place for bird watching, seeing other wildlife, and stargazing. Please be aware that you will find ticks, mosquitoes, and poison ivy throughout the woods. We are actively using regenerative approaches to manage these issues, but they are an unfortunate part of nature and we ask you to use caution. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need help with identifying anything.
We are located a few minutes away from the beautiful and historic Medina village, along the Erie canal, where you will find several cute shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a boat launch, a skatepark, several playgrounds, and grocery stores within a few minutes from us, and we are just down the road from the National Iroquois Wildlife refuge. Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and Rochester are all within about an hour drive as well if you're looking for a central base from which to explore the WNY region.

Welcome to Forrest for the Trees Camp!
Experience the ultimate in off-grid luxury with our four fully outfitted campsites. Each site features a spacious, luxury canvas tent furnished with a real bed, complete with linens, featherbeds, and pillows for your comfort.
Our campsites come equipped with:
Fire Pit: Enjoy a cozy fire with ample firewood and a firestarter kit provided.
Outdoor Kitchen: Each kitchen includes a charcoal grill with utensils, a two-burner propane cooktop stove, pots and pans, cooking and serving utensils, dishes, cups, and silverware for six. A tea kettle and press pot for coffee are also provided.
Dining Area: A picnic table for enjoying meals outdoors.
Seating: Bench seating around the private fire pit. Two camp chairs and two hammocks for additional outside relaxing.
Solar Lighting: Solar lights illuminate the ground and trails for your safety and convenience.
Private Outhouses: Clean and private outhouses are available at each site.

Weekend Trip to Back o' the Woods
Leslee was very hospitable! The place was clean and comfortable. We lit a bonfire in the evening and it got chilly so she gave us some blankets. It’s close to town with good food and nature to explore.

Weekend Trip to Coyote Hollow Park
My family and I had a great time at Coyote Hollow. It was so pretty and so much attention to detail. It was such a comfortable experience. My friend’s family rented out site 2 and no one was at site three so we had the whole place to ourselves. The fact that you could really be comfortable there for the whole weekend easily without too much prep because of the breakfast and camp store was impressive. The camp store was also so affordable. It really feels like you’re cared for. The out house is a very fancy out house- there’s running water. There’s potable water to wash dishes and fill up water bottles also at the wash house/toilet/shower. The tents are very comfortable and nice. It’s just like in the photos.
You can see the stars. The chickens are also fancy and friendly.

This site was the PERFECT place to camp with two little ones (1 and 4). We had a wonderful time hiking nearby at Bish Bash falls and then making dinner and s'mores in the evening. Having the showers and toilet close by was great for my little ones. And it was such a bonus that we didn't have to set up the tent ourselves.
We also got some cute visitors: 3 little bear cubs, so make sure to lock up your food!
Joanna was such a great host with wonderful communication and very generous with her time. Can't wait to come back.

It was a wonderful experience staying in a real tipi and cooking a meal over the fire. There was plenty of wood and kindling, and the bedding/camping gear was adequate.
I do think the hosts could have explained that the top flap should be opened when using the fire, as otherwise the tipi gets quite smokey. As an older guest, I also found the dampness from the pebble flooring noticeable, so I would recommend being prepared for that.
One other helpful note (for guests with a dog) would be clarification about the livestock guardian dog in the goat pen. He may look like he can come over to the tipi, but he actually cannot get out of the enclosure.
Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience that I would recommend to others.

It was an incredible campsite! Comfortable and secluded, coffee was great and the stars were unforgettable, owners are nice and friendly, no criticisms except that the bathrooms were a bit far from the hilltop campsite, which is in the works of being fixed :) highly recommend and will be revisiting in the future, great place to unwind and reconnect with your loved ones.

Weekend Trip to Greenbush Farm
Stayed at the hilltop site. Great experience. The things you might forget are already there, like bug spray and cups. Had a nice fire-pit with removable cooking grate, picnic table and a couple Adirondack chairs and a hammock. Paying the extra for morning coffee was a fantastic move, a hot carafe along with some proper cream and sugar was waiting on the picnic table when we woke up. Sites are nice and secluded. Tent was clean and sturdy. Would definitely stay here again.

Leslee made our stay really easy and comfortable. She walked us through everything when we arrived and made sure we had what we needed. The site is beautiful, the bed is genuinely comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a proper meal. She even had a fire going for us so we could make dinner that first night.
Pippa, her dog, is a lovely addition to the stay. Good company from the start.
We'd come back without hesitation. A great spot if you want a stay that feels looked after

Weekend Trip to Upper Shire Campsites Hudson Valley
My friends and I had a wonderful time staying in the Bell Tent! We fit 3 people easily in the tent itself. The land is absolutely beautiful and well maintained with nice paths to walk around on. It was clear Joanna had put a lot of thought into what we might need and included a charging device, lantern, fans, and a sleeping bag in the tent. The showers were the cleanest camping showers I’ve ever seen in my life. Joanna was very easy to communicate with and when the string lights weren’t working our first night, she came out immediately to fix them. She also gave us great recommendations for what to do in the area. If you go by the pond you can see the other sites on the property but it felt secluded and we never saw any of the other people staying at the other sites (and barely heard them or the road).

Julie, Liam, and Aisha could not have been more welcoming. The goats welcomed us up the drive, the cat gave us a tour inside the Tipi, and the horses greeted us first thing in the morning and hung out with me while I put in some time working remotely (this one one of the few places I’ve stayed where I had reliable service!!)

Nicest campsite we’ve ever booked. Everything very high quality, clean and well thought-out. Did not see another person for 24 hours and it was perfect! Easy check-in and a beautiful site for doggos to run around off-leash. We would book this place again in a heartbeat. Bed was super comfy and temperature of tent was great.
