Leslee was very hospitable! The place was clean and comfortable. We lit a bonfire in the evening and it got chilly so she gave us some blankets. It’s close to town with good food and nature to explore.
Leslee made our stay really easy and comfortable. She walked us through everything when we arrived and made sure we had what we needed. The site is beautiful, the bed is genuinely comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a proper meal. She even had a fire going for us so we could make dinner that first night.
Pippa, her dog, is a lovely addition to the stay. Good company from the start.
We'd come back without hesitation. A great spot if you want a stay that feels looked after

We had a very pleasant stay, and everything about the property was as the hosts described it. The tent, the kitchen, and the composting outhouse were all impeccably clean.
The camp is on a hilltop with views of the surrounding mountains. It's not far from the hosts' home but part of a very large property and felt private.
It's a good place for stargazing, with some of the darker skies you can find in an afternoon's drive away from NYC. We were here during the Perseid meteor shower and spotted no shortage of shooting stars, including the brightest either of us had ever seen before.
I'd stay there again with no hesitation!

Loved our stay at the Back O’ the Woods! The hosts are really great, Leslee and Steve, very welcoming and go above and beyond. Highly recommend it 😊

The bell tent is perfect and the view just amazing! Leslee and Steve really great hosts! They truly go above and beyond - gave us firewood, s’mores fixings, fresh bedding. We’re already planning to return. :)
We were the first guests to stay in this wonderful place! It was very special: welcoming, clean and cozy. The bed is incredibly comfortable, there is a fully stocked kitchen, grill, place to make a fire and firewood, and compost bathroom.
The sunset and sunrise were beautiful. The stars amazing. The hosts are a cute welcoming couple with the cutest puppy. Definitely recommend!!!! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
