The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

Highly recommend! Super convenient and well-equipped! My husband and I had a great experience at this campsite. The amenities were surprisingly complete: a mini barn with clean toilet, plenty of toilet paper, hot water, a fridge, a microwave and even a heater, which is a huge plus for us (we had some freezing nights during our stay). The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The location is also fantastic - it’s very close to the nearby state park. Donna’s recommendation of the restaurants and cafe are also great! Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay! Will definitely come back!

We loved staying in Campsite 2 by the River! The views were great and it was nice to be within walking distance of the bathhouse (very nice and clean) but still far enough away from the cabins and other campers to really feel the seclusion. We liked it so much we stayed on our way to South Florida and then stayed here again on our way back home!

We had a great stay at campsite 1. Very private and close to the river. Lots to do at Bowman's Landing without leaving the campground. The kids loved playing in the water and having bikes to ride around. So much great wildlife and natural beauty. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We'd love to come back and stay longer!

Janet was so easy to work with! This spot has everything you need and Janet and Jerry made everything all ready with firewood and all! The river is a nice short walk and we really enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. We absolutely loved this spot, we felt so secluded and safe. Our young boys and dogs had so much fun running around. The horseshoes were so fun and the sleeping porch was amazing to have the extra sleeping space. Hope we can have the chance to stay longer and explore more of the beautiful Suwannee River next time!

The hosts were very accommodating and gracious. Tom gave us an incredible tour and history of the property. His animals are amazing. The site was very private and clean. The sink hole is fascinating, though we weren't comfortable swimming in it. Plan to bring a shovel and toilet plan as the one at the site needs repair. There is plenty of downed wood around you but bring a saw as much of it is too large to break. Be sure to visit Fanning Springs State Park in addition to the better known sites closer by. The swimming area is fabulous and manatees were present.

Ana was a great host!!! The property there is immaculate!!! The RV hookups were very new. There are 3 cabins there that look brand new anand nicely decorated. The property is very Well manicured. I would highly recommended it as a wonderful place to stay!

Tom and Judy were very hospitable and flexible, even when it came to making modifications in our party size. There were 9 of us and we had a great time at arrowhead sink. The sink itself was awesome, we spent a good portion of our time down there (bring some hiking shoes because it’s a steep decline to get into the sink and it’s a little wet and muddy). The location isn’t too far from a gas station and there is even an area with food trucks. Lots of fun!

You get to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunsets by the Sante Fe River, ample space for your footprint, and the hosts were responsive as well as friendly. Please pick up after yourselves and leave no trace so this place can remain magical.

I’ve stayed at quite a few HipCamps over the years, but this one is hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had. The property truly has a little bit of everything- from friendly farm animals like donkeys, cows, and goats, to an incredible cave with its own private swimming hole. The best part? You’ll have these huge, scenic spaces entirely to yourself. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. And to top it off, the host, Tom, is one of the coolest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He was a pleasure to chat with and shared some fascinating stories about the land’s history that made the stay even more special. We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Dunagan’s Meadow! The camping area was completely private and deep into the property, where traffic and neighborhood noises could not be heard. The camp site is clean and really beautiful - vast and lush with a meadow reminiscent of “The Sound Of Music.” The animals were friendly and we had the entire area all to ourselves! But what really made the experience special was Tom and Judy…they are amazing hosts - really attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely kind. This was our first experience tent camping together and they guided us through the set-up process, made us feel safe and comfortable, and even shared some of their future plans for a vacation home on the property…it will truly be a unique stay to experience once it’s completed! We highly recommend this site if you really want to get away from it all, be in a peaceful setting, and leave feeling rested, regenerated, and looking forward to your next visit. Thank you Tom and Judy for your warm welcome, hospitality, and care!
