1 night at Lost Coast Basecamp

Loved camping at the lost coast basecamp before and after our lost coast hike. The camp host Alan was very great and very attentive and gave us a great orientation and answered all our questions about the camp and the area. The tents are great and tall enough to stand in and cots are comfortable. The views are spectacular on top of the mountain and we had clear sky’s and warm sun even when it was foggy and damp at the coast. We had a fire each night, made s’mores and made good use of the kitchen for our dinner meals. I would stay there again.

This was a perfect spot before we did the Lost Coast Trail. Pretty epic sunrise/sunset. The tent is close to the other tents, but no problems on that front or with the shared kitchen/bathroom. Alan was an awesome host!

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Landing🦋🦋🦋

Butterfly landing is a gorgeous spot to stay! It's quiet and it looks like the tent spot has a gorgeous view of the vineyards. My friend and I stayed in the Bluebell Glamping Tent and it was awesome. The bed is comfortable and there is a ton of space inside, along with a deck that is perfect for a spot of stargazing. One other spot was occupied while we were there, but there's plenty of space for everyone, and I very much enjoyed making friends with our fellow HipCampers. The kitchen house and other common areas are a great size and well maintained, and plenty of places to sit and relax. We loved the convenience of running water in the kitchen house as well. The outdoor composting toilet is very well maintained and cleaned. The only thing I will note, and this is noted by Kira the host as well, but there is a lot of poison oak all around the property. It's obvious that Kira has done her best to clear it from the common areas, but if you don't know what it looks like already, be sure to learn ahead of staying here so that you don't have an unpleasant surprise! We loved this space and I would happily stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm

Wonderful time. Hidden tents among the date Groves was so private and relaxing. The individual mineral spring jacuzzi at each camping location was a nice touch as well as the mineral spring swimming pool. The dates very yummy. At first we where worried about the heat but the tents are set up nicely with air-conditioned. Overall, a great place.

What a wonderful place for glamping. My family had a good time. We where at first afraid it would be to hot to stay since it is out in the dessert but Ron had each tent set up with air-conditioned and the placement of the tents where shady and private. We loved that each spot had its own little mineral water jacuzzi like tub to use. There is also a large mineral pool to enjoy. The property is fun to explore and we felt very safe on it. Ron is also very personal and great host. He left us some amazing dates that they harvest right there on the farm as a treat and remembrance of our trip. We will make sure to come back.

Sugarloaf is an amazing camping location. The camp hosts made it even better. They are kind, friendly, and very helpful. The set up was great. Morning sun and afternoon shade was ideal for late May.

3 nights at Starry Hot Tub/Cold Plunge Glamping

Ellie and Jack set a really high bar for our first time using Hipcamp. They were incredibly responsive to any of our questions and made the experience super smooth. We were in awe of the set up in and around the tent the whole time during our trip. The tent was super cozy and comfortable, the outdoor shower was amazing, the hot tub under the stars was memorable, and I could really keep going. Lots of stuff in the area to explore and after 3 days there is only feels like we scratched the surface. Looking forward to going back sometime soon!

Welcome to the Amaya Creek Redwood Campground! We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions to bypass the road closure! There is no cell phone service in some areas. PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH with them! We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. . Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules. No hookup for RV and trailer, check each site description to see if RV/trailer is ok for that site.

The Secret Gardens by the Bay

The Secret Gardens is surrounded by lots of natural beauties that will open your heart. The spirit of the ocean, the wave, the mountains, the trees, the people and the fragrant of the roses, the beauties of our amazing Dahlias will take you to another world. No pictures can describe how beautiful this place and we hear that every time our guests step out of their cars. It is located about 2 minutes drive from the beach and the Monterey bay, about 12 miles away South of Santa Cruz. The beaches here are more peaceful and spread out as long as your eyes can see. We are 33 miles away from Monterey aquarium but you almost don't have to go anywhere when you are here. There are many things to do such as hiking at Land of Medicine Buddha or Forrest of Nisene Mark, Stroll around at Capitola Village, Have coffee and do awesome thrift shopping in downtown Aptos or in Soquel, Get some free foods from Free Food church on Wednesday evening (Yes, locally grown organic produce!), have a picnic on the cliff to watch the sunset, this town kind of remind you what's like to be in town without big boxes and franchise stores everywhere, life as its finest. This campground is also a great setting for your celebrations with two stages, a celebration area, a stone fired pizza oven and a sound systems (These are extras). We also have two sites for Private Group Camping for RV and Tent camping if you want to have a separate area away from anyone else. They can accommodate at least 15 people. Please check out those sites if you plan to come in a group. If you bring your dogs or children we have a trail for you to stroll around the property in a natural setting. We purposely do not a lot of pictures to keep this place mystical and a secret gem. We'd like to WOW you when you get here.
