We are a small privately owned campground ( on the outskirts of Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded Tahoe like acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek. The camp sites are placed along the creek or the bluff overlooking the creek. We have traditional dirt camping, canvas tents on platforms, teepees and glamping tents for those that want the comforts of home. We are tent camping only with only one site that allows a small travel trailer or van. (#14) . We are dog friendly and allow dogs in all but 5 glamping sites. We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM
We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day.
We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses,
For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing set . We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings).
The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing.
We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area.
We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site.
No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore.
We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation.
We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes.
We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash.

Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. We’ve since replaced the hop yard with perennial flowers, but continue to cultivate a wide variety of delicious fruits.

We are so delighted to share this spot with you. This is a shared campground with 3 separate spots that are relatively private.
Host will NOT be there when you arrive unless prior arrangement made. This campground is yours to enjoy. The expectation is 'leave it better than before so the next guests may enjoy!
This is camping. BRING YOUR OWN GEAR. Put your own linens and bedding on top of what is already on bed. I can provide linens and bedding for an extra $25 for glamping spots. Beds have pillows on them.
There is wildlife. This includes bears and mountain lions in the area. You will not see either but good to be aware they exist.
This is a safe 'neighborhood'. We do not have problems with thievery. However, always keep your valuables safe IN YOUR CAR.
There is no Power. No WiFi. Cell phone coverage not guaranteed. Depends on your carrier. DOWNLOAD DIRECTIONS AND INFO BEFORE ARRIVING TO SITE.
There is Poison Oak. Stay in the designated areas. If you are susceptible, bring and wash with Tecnu. Or use dish soap and wash. Poison oak is an oil. Most importantly: Don't Touch.
No Fires allowed during Summer months. Be super careful. No candles. Smoke in fire pit area. Grass is a tinderbox. 1 spark can ignite all. There is a hose connected to kitchen.
There is a Pet Fee stay. 1 pet per site allowed unless prior arrangement made. You are responsible to clean up after your pet and to make sure pet is safe and respectful to neighbors. This means you DO NOT leave your pet unattended, and is leashed at all times. If your pet is barking continuously, we ask that you leave. It is not respectful for all other neighbors.
Please bring your own bed for your dogs and clean up after a shedding dog if you are indoors.
We ask that guests clean up your camping spot upon departure to 'make the place better than before' for the next guests.
Butterfly Landing is a sweet landing spot! Birds, butterflies and small wildlife love this spot. The habitat includes many native species of plant life. A pretty knoll that is on the top of a 40 acre property. Views of vineyards, redwood trees, valley floor, and expansive sky. Private, Quiet and beautiful.
A central sunny meadow ties together 3 distinct private areas with a communal kitchen, bath-house, picnic-table sitting area and parking on the side. There is 1 outhouse that has a mailbox system to ensure privacy. (Please read manual on picnic table for instructions)
Kitchen. 2 burner propane stove, and sink with running water (cold). (Good for drinking. Pressure is low) There is basic cooking and dishware. Cleaning supplies. A Trash and Recycle Bin. And a Compost bucket where all food scraps should be disposed of and then covered with wood-chips. Kitchen should stay clean at all times. Please put dishes away in the tote to keep clean and critter free.
Bath-house. Shower with hot water.
1 shared Outhouse. Please use the path that goes to the outhouse (unless you are in the Greenroom) and make sure you put the mailbox red flag up so that others know it is occupied. ((Then don't forget to put it back down!!)
Common sitting area. There are 2 picnic tables, Lots of umbrellas that can be moved wherever, a fire pit/table and lots of seating.
Parking. There are room for 3 vehicles. Parking is to be in designated parking area please.
Sunny meadow and forest shade make this a lovely landing spot to relax and enjoy nature, and a great opportunity to turn off those cell phones!!
Butterfly Landing is about 1/2 mile from HWY 128 that runs through Anderson Valley. This location is the perfect location for it all. Wine tasting in the Valley, Navarro River swimming during the summer months, and the Mendocino coast is nearby.
This is an Honor system camping spot. We ask that you leave your spot 'better than before', as in 'Leaver no Trace'. I rely on everyone to do their part in the communal kitchen to keep clean and free of critters.
SUPER IMPORTANT to put all food scraps in the compost bin. NO food anything in the trash. This is how the bears show up. Please do your part.

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite.
The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center.
PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this.
PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy.
Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in.
Please note that a $25 setup/cleaning fee is charged per reservation, plus a booking fee.

All sites have shaded areas, and picnic tables. *A shower and a compost toilet are available for use to all campers.
Enjoy a designated smoking/vaping spot, multiple benches, swings, a "grounding" spot, birding, water fountains and art.
A no noise policy by the county occurs at 9 pm. Due to a high risk fire zone, no open fires (small camp stoves are ok). Due to the proximity of the tents right next to Vega Rd, sounds from vehicles can be heard. We are situated in a rural neighborhood setting, with sounds of sheep, goats, chickens, wild turkeys, dogs and many birds nestled between both counties. The terrain is hilly with a few gopher holes. Staying on paths limits poison oak exposure. While respecting your privacy, we can be seen improving the property.
*For precautionary measures, we ask that you sign our waiver within 12 hours after you book your reservation. "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY IF YOU DO NOT SIGN THE WAIVER."
Vega Vortex has been called a Park and Machu Picchu due to the amphitheater landscaping of terracing. Practicing permaculture, a diversity of pollinating plants/ flowers, organic garden and art features exist. Just 10 minutes off the freeway and a little ways up from the river, a handful of thoughtfully laid out sites afford comfy car, tent, or compact RV camping with ample privacy.
At an elevation near 3000 feet, the Ridge gets lots of sun, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. The mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. Best to arrive in daylight to orient and take in the scene! Count on fair to good cell service, plus limited central wifi and power on request.
The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old 'bonsai' oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site. Birds and wildlife are prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns.
The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. It's a slow and steady work in progress, not a polished product, so input and feedback is certainly welcome!
Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms--it's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. This location is not set up (yet) for people with mobility challenges, or people with no prior wilderness camping experience. Clear Lake Campground is a small, vintage RV and tent campground, established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground offers fishing, kayaking, and boating right from Camp. A car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park and Austin Park are all within a ten minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach.
The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe or motor boat and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Cool off in the small pool. Challenge your family to a ping pong tournament or corn toss game.
Lake County guests enjoy stunning vistas, world-class wines, the largest freshwater lake in California, the cleanest air in the US and endless outdoor activities. Activities include fishing, birding, kayaking, biking, hiking and wine tasting. Our staff have been trained as tourism ambassadors and can help you make the most of your vacation.
Travel trailers, campers, tents and RVs are all welcome. Most sites include water, sewer and 30 amp electric. Limited wifi. Campsites are hard packed dirt. We also have 3 partially-furnished canvas bell tents to make your stay even easier!
Please note, our small vintage campground is best suited to smaller trailers and motor coaches. Sites range from 25-40 feet long and 18-24 feet wide. Please plan accordingly.

Glamping at Henry's was just the reprieve I needed after camping in the woods for the last few days. You enter the yard and there's a whimsical arbor gate that leads to the glamping area. Henry is a friendly and responsive host. It was so nice chatting with him and his Airbnb guest in the main house. The tent is comfortable, and I had a great sleep. I am very sensitive to smells and I thankfully did not have any trouble with that here! What I really enjoyed is Henry's attention to detail in the amenities he has to offer. I definitely took advantage of the massage chair inside the tent after my long day of being on the road. The shower is in the main house and is fully stocked with anything you could need as well as extra touches like a towel warmer! I was even offered home cooking in the evening and coffee and pastries for the road. Henry's passion for hospitality really comes across. I felt welcomed and even inspired by the end of my stay. I would definitely book again! ☺️

Weekend Trip to Om Sweet Om Farm
Loved it! Bell tent was perfect. Not too hot when light out but perfectly chill for my liking at night & cozy blankets provided. Bed was comfy. Loved the scrabble & tarot deck in tent. As well as the solar powered fairy lights at night. Loved all the animals but special shout out to the doggos. They checked on our tent at night to make sure we were safe. Followed us around like a guardian. Yet gave us space. Truly some special dogs. Host Dustin was welcoming, easy to talk to, & super accessible if we had any questions. We could tell they put intention into this space 🙏✨️ Such a peaceful place to unwind. Delicious waffles in the morning really helped to set the tone to a beautiful day of river time. Definitely will recommend & hope to come back again one day.
Notes for future campers:
When not in tent, there will be mosquitoes, duh! Its outside summer time lol. Just a heads up one of those citronella candle & wrist bands didn't work for us, so def come strapped w/ back up.
You have to travel a bit on dirt road/gravel roads. Maps should take you there. Don't mind all the signage, you are going the right way. Was able to easily access with a Honda civic. Just respect the path & move slower!
Closed toed shoes if planning to hike from the property. Slides / chanclas are safe around the property itself but along the trail there's poison oak popping up pretty low & easy to miss/brush with foot if not watching step. But no fear, it really wasn't too much.

The glamping tent was comfortable and spacious for our family of four. Our host provided a queen bed and two additional mattresses. There was plenty of lighting inside and they will recharge any lanterns that go out. I was also pleased with the condition of the bathrooms and showers. My kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the loop and playing soccer in the large middle field.

We loved camping on Dustin‘s land. The dome tent was really cool, spacious, and well decorated. We had all of the amenities that we needed. We absolutely loved the cold plunge with the gorgeous view of the mountains. The dogs were so fun to be around, and of course, we enjoyed the goats, the chickens, and the pig. This was a really amazing experience and the perfect getaway. And Dustin’s partner is a chef and his meals were absolutely delicious. We even ordered at the last minute and they still accommodated us. Thank you for the awesome experience!

We loved our stay at Om Sweet Om. Dustin and Om have created a sweet spot to get away from it all, in comfort! They were super welcoming, and made our stay perfect. Our tent had a comfy bed and linens, and a table on which to have our meals. We enjoyed playing Scrabble (which was in the tent!,) and loved visiting with all of the furry and feathered residents. The cold plunge was a treat after a day of hiking, and the sunsets were just stunning. And their outhouse was an A+ as far as outhouses go! ; )

Kira's campground is so thoughtfully designed and comfortable. We've been a few times now and it seems like they take great care in upkeep with cleaning, clearing back poison oak, etc. so that your stay always goes smoothly. The little touches like the mugs in the kitchen and electric candles in the tent give it such a homey vibe. Love hearing all the creatures at night! Thanks! We'll be back :)

We only stayed for one night but the land was beautiful and peaceful. The garlic bulb shaped tent was super spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated. We slept so comfortably and Dustin was really nice and easygoing. Would absolutely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Magical Harrison Serenity Ranch
This was our second time at Vicki's property. It was a little too hot during the day but Rich got us some nice chairs to enjoy the fresh freeze under the trees. We had access to flushable toilets. It was a delight to watch fireworks right from our glamp site. The tent was spacious with a clean sheets.

My husband and I and our Australian cattledog enjoyed staying in Henry's cozy backyard yurt! It literally is in the backyard, enclosed by colorful tapestries and faux camo, and its own little gate (no lock, sways open, closed). We had our own "secluded" space! There was a double bed (described by another review as a queen), space heater, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, an awesome massage chair, Roku, and complimentary snacks. The bathroom and separate shower are located in the main house, occupied by the host. The house also has a couple of guestrooms offered on airbnb. We had full access to the kitchen and Henry even made breakfast a couple of times for his guests (there was also a couple staying in an airbnb room). We felt awkward going into the house at first, but quickly got over it because Henry is so welcoming and the place was exquisite: modern, luxurious, comfy, and very clean.
Parking is in the driveway, in spaces specifically allocated for guests, and the entrance to the fenced backyard is gated. The gridded neighborhood is pretty much a redwood forest with houses!
To consider: the space is listed for two and the bed is a double. I'm 6' and 225 lbs, and my head and feet were at the edges of the bed. The husband is 5'11" and we love each other dearly, but we opted to sleep separately (we had previously been camping so had our inflatable mattress with us that fit nicely in the yurt). No big deal at all for us!

My pup and I had a great time during our stay at the bluebell tent. We were easily able to check out the nearby wineries within minutes of the site and spend time riverside which was about 15 minutes away. The setup is cute, with a communal kitchen and hangout area. The tent was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more, will definitely be coming back again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sugarloaf Ridge glamping site. The facilities and campground were exceptionally clean and well maintained, and it was obvious that the staff take a lot of pride in keeping everything in great shape. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
One of our favorite parts was the easy access to Sonoma Creek. It was a wonderful place to explore, and we saw an incredible amount of wildlife throughout our stay, making every walk feel like a new adventure.
The absolute highlight was the Fourth of July night hike to Bald Mountain. We were blown away by the amount of effort the park staff and volunteers put into making the evening such a fun, memorable, and educational experience. From the organization to the activities and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, it was clear how much they care about helping visitors connect with the park.
If you’re looking for a beautiful place to camp or glamp in Sonoma County, Sugarloaf Ridge is an easy recommendation. We’ll definitely be back!

My first glamping experience was very good. I really liked the tent—it was spacious and cozy. Inside, we had a queen bed and four chairs, plus four chairs outside and firewood for the campfire. The glamping tents were set up fairly close to each other on smaller sites, which was the only small downside. Other than that, everything was really cool and relaxing.
