BEFORE YOU BOOK: Please be advised that we do not permit campers to arrive after hours, you need to arrive prior to 5.30 when the office is open in order to get the site allocation, 1. We are not permitting people to set up in the dark, it is totally black, no lighting in wilderness zone and far too difficult to locate your site, and it disturbs other campers. 2. Our property is nestled in 2000 acres of totally private wilderness in the centre of the lush valley in the heart of the Blue Mountains Experience the magnificent ancient rainforest glen with a canopy of tree ferns, caves and huge towering gum trees. Savour the moment and feel the magic of simplicity in our world of nature. Renowned for their spectacular scenery, the Megalong Valley Farm offers fresh mountain air, history and wildlife. Guests can expect some of the most spectacular sunsets, sunrises and scenery in the Blue Mountains. While you're here, check out some of the iconic destinations our region has to offer. BEFORE YOU ARRIVE PHONES: Phone reception is good, there is a Telstra exchange on the property. ROADS: Roads around the sites are unsealed, but most normal cars and the average SUV handle it okay. The road down into the Megalong Valley is tar sealed, very scenic but winding. ICE: Bring your own ice WOOD: Timber for fires can be purchased at reception. We are an environmental biodiversity precinct so don’t permit damage to vegetation. FIRES: Plenty of existing fire spots SHOPS: The township of Blackheath is 15klm away up on the Gt Western Hwy, none in the Valley SHADE: Plenty of shady areas WATER: We are on town water TOILETS there are 3 men's and 3 women's, plus 8 at reception, plus 3 in pioneer and 3 in corner paddock SHOWERS: 3 gas hot water showers in men's, 3 in women's, plus 2 in Lodge NOISE: Shutdown time for music is 10pm - no exceptions! but you can still enjoy the fires - quietly. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Surrounded by the Marramarra National Park you have a short drive to access the Canoelands Ridge Trail (17kms), Duckponds Ridge Trail, Marrarra Ridge to Smugglers Point Ridge Trail. We are a short drive to dine at Wiseman Ferry, and only 11 minutes from the local Woolworths. Or enjoy a beautiful walk at Fagan Park in Galston. Your camping/van area is supplied with red/bins. 2 Portaloos available at the front and back section. Dogs allowed but please let me know first. They will need to be on leash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them ANYWHERE they go toilet and also they must be vaccinated. No cats allowed. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise please bring your own. All Sites have fire pits. CHILDREN are to be accompanied by an adult at all times if walking around the property. Beautiful spot to relax, with loads of wildlife and bird watching. Please use bins supplied and leave no trace. * There are 4 allocated camp sites. Two are easy(2WD & Vans/trailers) access and have the direct view through the valley. Two require high wheel clearance vehicles (just small hill to drive up with some rocks), these are more private sites(cannot see the other campers) still with lovely views. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Just nearby, Riverside Café is ideal for fresh coffee, breakfast or a casual lunch in a peaceful riverside setting. The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream. You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water. The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region. I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. Fires are only permitted when there are no fire restrictions and in the designated fire pit and designated fire pit area for your own fire pit. Children 16 & under stay for free. Please notify host if you are bringing children. Please be careful and supervise young children near the water.

The directions were very clear and precise. The camp spot was amazing. The river was crystal clear during the day. The evenings were very peaceful even with a visit from a possum who wanted to stay with us. Wayne was very accommodating with fire wood delivery throughout our stay. We had a very peaceful stay and our 2 little dogs loved the stay as well. Well worth the $$.

Located just 2 km from Tumut, this campsite is very convenient while still offering a peaceful setting. The area is beautiful, with amazing birdlife, and there was plenty of space for everyone during our quiet weekend stay. The host was friendly and welcoming. A couple of things to be aware of are that you can hear some highway noise, and the riverbank is quite steep, which makes access to the river a little difficult. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would happily camp there again.

View from campsite one was beautiful, looking over the valley. We had no one else near us so nice and quiet and relaxing. Debbie was a great host, clear directions were on the gate when we arrived and she checked in with us via message to see how we were going and if we needed anything, Great place and not too far away for a quick getaway.

We loved camping at Megalong Farm. Boz the friendly chocolate lab kept us company some days. The donkeys, alpacas and Shetland ponies will come and say hi too. Shower and toilet facilities are clean. The scenery is just beautiful. We will be back!!!

Hunter (my dog) and I recently stayed on one of the riverside sites at Riverside Farm Escape and had an amazing time. The property is peaceful, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with incredible views along the Wang Wauk River. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. The riverside sites are fantastic, waking up by the water each morning and sitting around the fire pit at night made for a great escape from everyday life. Hunter absolutely loved exploring the open grassy areas and relaxing by the campsite, and it was great to find such a genuinely pet-friendly property. We saw plenty of birds and wildlife throughout our stay which added to the experience. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into creating a relaxing and welcoming place for guests. If you’re looking for a quiet riverside camping getaway, I’d highly recommend Riverside Farm Escape. Hunter and I will definitely be back.

I loved camping here, such a peaceful stay on a beautiful property. Easy to find, and each campsite had its own picnic table and fire pit which was a great bonus! The portable toilets were also very well maintained. There were lots of lovely little touches around the property too, including swings, a rope swing, and bathtubs.

Great spot with beautiful views. We had a 2wd Toyota Hiace found access super easy. Loved that there are fire pits to use, and the host was really helpful when we arrived at late notice after dark. Left us a note on the gate and turned fairy lights on so that we could find it. I'd recommend it.

We have stayed here many times. There is plenty of room for our dog and other sites are nicely spaced so we don't intrude on them. There are several day walks and a leash free beach at Budgewoi. Lisa is great host, and we enjoy a chat with her.
