Set in the Capertee Valley, New South Wales, Upper Nile is nestled at the end of the road coming from Glen Alice. Surrounded by Majestic Cliffs our spectacular Valley invites people to take it all in, to make memories and get out amongst the landscape... Campers can chill out with friends, hike, explore, swim, take pics of wildlife, birds, help the owner or chat about living off grid. With shallow creeks , swimming hole, heated spa with a view, BBQ, picnic table, Cliffs, hiking/bushwalking, mountain biking, feeding the cows, sheep or chickens - you will have a great time. Don't forget the hot shower and flushing toilets. Campers can have private sites away from others or with multiple friends and their set ups! Our Local coffee shop based in Glen Alice, called From The Paddock is open Thursday to Sunday and offer great coffee, and food. Local sites also include Glen Davis, Dunns Swamp and the Glen Alice Trail. Bird lovers from all over the world come to explore the vast range of birds that call our valley home either full time or part of their residence of choice! As one of the worlds top 11 sites for bird watching, make sure to have your camera readying Get amongst nature, explore, rest and unwind. Fire pits available (some with bbq plate). Amazing views, gas bbq and picnic table on the hill also here to enjoy. We also have cabins and or tiny houses available for accomodation. Self contained with kitchenette and bathroom. Offering spectacular views you won't be disappointed with well travelled guests saying the view is some of the best in the world without the mass of tourists around! . Note: we are a quiet camp, family, and pet friendly, meaning a place of rest and adventure, not a place to blast music and annoy others. Please take parties, loud music elsewhere! ‘The Nile’ is an absolutely amazing property in the phenomenal Capertee Valley. We booked a campsite and also this cabin for my parents and it was fantastic. The cabin was beautifully appointed, very comfortable in the middle of winter, quite handy to our campsite for walking but completely private. We are planning on coming back and using the cabin ourselves when it’s a little bit warmer so we can try the outdoor fire spa!!!

Wow! We love ‘The Nile’ so much. Firstly, it would have to be one of the most beautiful places in the world, the wonderful Capertee Valley.. Mandy and Jake a wonderful host who talked to us about the Best things on their property, the best places to go without driving too far including great food and wineries, how to get up into the national park to the top of one of the best lookouts in the world, where to find amenities on their property which include included hot showers and toilet toilets, they checked in on us and we’re always available when we needed them, they welcomed our dogs, and they even sourced some locally fresh farm eggs for us. We will definitely be coming back.

The place was really lovely. There’s a lot of space to camp and the toilets were clean. The hot shower is a real bonus. You can see kangaroos and wombats around the campsite at dusk/night and on a clear night, the milky way is very visible. The owners were very accommodating as well. Definitely we will come back.

No words really enjoyed. The drive thruogh the vally is crazy.one of most scenic drive in my life. Stayed two days and its really adventurous, if you camp near bushlands which is at the corner of the campsite. Dont forget to do the hike up to the look out through the wollemi national park. If you drive 4×4 you can drive up to the gate. Mandy is very supportive and friendly.

Jacob and Mandy’s place is set in the most stunning location. It’s fairly remote but easily accessible being within three hours of Sydney. Perfect to disconnect (zero coverage) and relax surrounded by the stunning escarpment that is the main feature of the Capertee Valley. The nights skies are amazing with zero light pollution making it feel as if you are immersed in the Milky Way. Facilities are basic but very clean. Jacob and Mandy have heaps of accommodation options with cabins, tiny houses, cubby house style rooms, plenty of camping in lots of varied paddocks and wooded corners. We really didn’t get to do much of what was on offer because our stay was quite short but we will definitely return to stay again. There’s apparently an amazing lookout up the top of the escarpment that we didn’t get too which is a must do on the next trip. Also didn’t utilise the hot tub or the natural waterhole (we were there in winter). But for us it was just lovely to sit by the campfire sipping wine and playing cards. A really nice long weekend break. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful property ! We enjoyed 2 nights here in delicous peace and quiet. So good for the soul. The drive in of its own is spectacular and I’m so glad we got to see this part of NSW. Amenities are great. Whilst self contained we did use the hot shower as I was travelling with my Mum - we celebrated her 84th birthday listening to the wildlife, enjoying the cows, watching our city dog living his best country life - all to the soundtrack of the birds. Jake and Mandy were lovely and attentive yet gave us the freedom to enjoyed their beautiful farm. If we had a 4WD we would have had even more options to stay. 10/10 recommend - they also have beautiful cabins that would be so peaceful if you didn’t want to camp

Wow! What a place to camp. We stayed with our 2 sons and dog and they had the best time. So much space between campsites so super private & super clean facilities with flushable toilets. We loved going up to Wollomi National Park via the 4WD track with the most spectacular views. Mandy, Jake and their 2 boys were super friendly and resourceful the entire time we were there. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We loved camping at Jacob's spot - a great site with an exclusive access to the Glen Alice trail, through a 4WD access. The sites are quite dispersed and everyone can get a great view, as there are hills on either sides. We camped away from the amenities, but there's more to be added. It's great to see a wilderness first spot with roos and birds visiting you - while having access to toilets, hot showers, bbq, the hot tub and firewood. Jake was great and gave us perfect instructions - looking forward to returning some day and see his vision grow.

We had the most beautiful camping stay at The Nile Farm Stay, celebrating my wife’s birthday surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Evenings by the campfire under the stars and moonlight were pure magic. A real highlight was Jake taking us by 4x4 into Wollemi National Park for the ANZAC Day dawn service — deeply moving and incredibly special. The amenities are thoughtfully crafted, with great facilities, excellent hot showers, and a spa bath available to everyone. Completely relaxing from start to finish and highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at The Nile. Jake was a great, friendly approachable host and the property is breathtaking with its surround cliff/mountain views. There was no water at all in the creek bed but the swimming hole had enough to take a refreshing sit in. We also had a relax in the spa which is on a hill and has a fabulous view. 3 toilets and 4 showers to use, 3 off which are rustic outdoor style with no ceiling, they have the biggest beautiful rainwater style shower head with piping hot water. It was incredibly invigorating taking a shower under the sky. Within the property is a 4WD track that takes you to the National Park. The 4WD track was a bit of fun, there is a locked gate into the national park and from there it is a steep walk up to a stunning lookout over the valley (roughly 2km each way), take not the lookout does not have a signpost but you will know you are there! The property is large with many sites to camp at and enjoy ground campfires. Definitely recommend.

Camping under the stars!

The nile was a great place to camp under the stars sitting by the campfire. Plenty of room to spread out and camp away from others. The hosts Jake & Mandy were so friendly and welcoming and their property was just so beautiful and peaceful, we had a relaxing stay. We also drove on the 4wd track and went exploring in the bush and along the creek. Met the cows which you can also feed. The outdoor hot showers were a highlight for me for something different. We will definitely come back for another stay.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the views and location stunning. Hosts were so helpful … they made an effort to connect with the campers and make us feel at home . Lots of wide open spaces to choose your sites and super dog friendly . The amenities were clean and showers were nice and hot ! Seemed like we had the whole valley to ourselves. No phone. No TV. Nobody within cooee! Just kangaroos, birds, a friendly wombat and a few gorgeous looking cows batting their long eyelashes at us. Perfect escapism. Loved it.

This was my first time camping and I couldn’t have found a better place than the Nile for my new experience. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to access the toilets and showers which was initially a huge worry for me. The camping site was vast and peaceful and waking up to the beautiful landscape of surrounding mountains made me forget about my busy life in the city. I highly recommend The Nile and will be happy to return there. It also has WiFi which was another pleasant surprise!

We had such an amazing time at The Nile! Jacob and Mandy were such great hosts. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and helped to select the perfect site for our group's needs, and the hospitality was amazing throughout our whole stay. Our kids had an amazing time discovering all the farm had to offer and meeting all the animals. And the spa was a perfect way to end the day. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Absolute amazing! The property has great views and straches quite long, so there are many sections of camping opportunities without having a neighbour next to you. The hosts where also very lovely and made sure we all had a great stay. The facilities are clean and perfect for all needs. A bonus for us for the private 4wd track on the property and the kids loved it. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to others.
