This state has a few quirks that might surprise you on a first visit. If you're driving through the state, keep in mind that Oregon has no self-serve gas stations. Attendants pump your gas every time you fuel up. The state's also an outlier when it comes to taxation—it's one of only five states that has no sales tax.
