Welcome to Timber Ridge Ranch! A rustic tree farm with close proximity to the beach. Experience a variety of epic timber campsites just above the iconic surf spot, Oswald State Beach, also known as Short Sands (aka “Shorty’s”). Nestled in a coastal Forrest, a short stay with us will have you feeling both inspired and connected as you experience our regions legacy industry: evergreen farming. So pack your flannel and join in the heritage of the Pacific Northwest logging traditions… Whether you're set on catching waves, hiking Smugglers Cove, or exploring the charming towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita, our picturesque property provides the perfect basecamp for your adventures. Sites range from secluded two person hideouts to large open group sites for 30 people. With this unique setting, why settle for a traditional campsite ever again? Embrace the majesty of Timber Ridge Ranch. Disclaimers: We had one person say that this place is not 2 Wheel Drive accessible. Therefore we highly recommend four-wheel-drive (4WD)! There have been cougar, bear, and elk sightings, so please don’t leave food out and be careful! Although Short Sands Beach / Oswald State Park is close, it’s not really walkable. However, it is only two miles South on Hwy 101 to the parking lots from our gate. Most of the campsites are about a mile up the hill from our main entrance. So a total of about 3 miles to Shorty’s. Lastly; there are no bathrooms! Please make sure you bring your own bathroom! If we find any messes left we do charge a $250 fine. Thank you for for helping us keep our sites beautiful and safe for all!

Plenty or fun awaits you at the huge 10 acre group site that can easily accommodate up to 5-25 people. Includes unrivaled privacy and incredible stargazing. Beautiful secluded spot- definitely off the beaten path more than we expected which was a bonus for us. Amazing views . Sadly had to leave early due to wildfire smoke, would love to come back!

Information about the camp site was innacurate. Directions were incorrect, no photos or directions to find it, once you find it, there are no signs or indications you're in the right place, on top of that there was absolutely no way to tell which one is your camp site. Lastly, camping site is 100% not 2WD accessible. My car got damaged, which is beyond a loose gravel road. On the good side, this felt more like primitive camping which is always an enjoyable experience, but definitely not what you paid for and especially if you're forced to pay for a 2-night stay despite staying only one night. Sunset Terrace - ocean view campsite
Loved this campsite! It was perfect for me and my pup. So very secluded and I did in fact hear waves at nighttime, was very peaceful! Travis was very easy to communicate with and I was able to book same day as I was heading out to the coast. Very glad I ended up at his campground!

Camping here was one of a kind experience that I will remember for life. Just wonderful nature, wonderful views and you get to really disconnect from the “outside world” once you cross the property gates. Strongly recommend to anyone wanting a genuine camping experience. The closest you can sleep to short sands beach which is another amazing place. Thank you so much, Travis for making the space available through hipcamp

Exceptional campground! Our kids loved playing with all the toys, tractors on the campground. Anne was extremely responsive and she even provided a propane grill for us. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!!! Thank you again Anne
