There 21 of us. We had a fantastic time. People in charge are wonderful and i would recommend it for everyone. It's a beautiful place! We will be back.

Horizons
Tent camping at Horizon was great! We had a quiet, private space while still having clean amenities easily accessible. There is also so much to explore nearby and even on the property itself. Looking forward to returning!

I just love this place. We Always have a wonderful time sleeping under the stars. Mornings waking up to the the beautiful white guardian bears (dogs). Split Farm close to home but feels like a vacation every time.

The Oak Grove Communal Camping
What an amazing spot! I loved my stay. It was unique, beautiful and felt far away but was only 45 mins (I’m in Oceanside). The goats were such a highlight!

I camped one night in Peaceful valley. It is a very rustic campsite. It was not really very well teamed they had a community kitchen, which was kind poorly maintained the oak area was a nice campground with oak trees and a flat area. There was a flush toilet inside a shipping container and there was a hot shower however it is very rustic. The place has a lot of potential and I believe that you could do better, but that’s just my personal opinion. Also there is Mexican music playing up to like 10 o’clock at night. I guess that’s OK for a Saturday night, but lots of dogs barking like all night. I had a reservation for two nights, but I left after the first night cause mostly because I didn’t have any power in my camper. It was way too hot.

We absolutely loved our girl trip to Split Rock Farm & Retreat! It was an unforgettable trip filled with baby goats, an alpaca, 2 pigs and the hosts two working dogs visiting and occasionally hanging out at our campsite. We stayed in the Split Rock Spring campsite which is right across from the camp store. The camp store was well stocked, had 2 outdoor showers with hot water and a bathroom. They even had e-bikes we could rent to tour the entire 101 acres of the property. We only stayed for 2 nights but I would highly recommend 3 nights minimum. I could have stayed longer and immersed myself in the natural beauty of the land, the animals, birds under the sun, moon and stars. Next time I think I’ll stay in one of the glamping spots with my husband. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will be back! Granite Tabernacle Private Views
Overall a decent experience.
Pros:
The site was pretty private and had a nice view. The Google map of the entire camp was also very helpful. It was nice and quiet at night. The tabernacle was very cool and helped provide some shade.
Cons:
Our site was pretty overgrown with plants. We didn’t even find the second fire pit until the morning we left (after looking through old reviews) because the “path” to it was so overgrown. There were also a ton of bees if that’s a problem for any future campers. Also we stayed there with our dog and had a wild pig and one of the camp dogs wander into our site and scare us, which was partially expected from the listing but we had no idea how to get the pig to leave our camp and stop trying to fight our dog. Also the “bathroom” was a poorly maintained outhouse pretty far from our site (about a 5-10 min walk up and over a few hills without signage) and there was a hose on the ground about a 1-2 minute walk from the site for water but no sink as described in the listing. The terrain was also very hilly and overgrown so I would not recommend staying here without an SUV to get in.

Granite Gulch
Great place! We stayed two nights with two kids. They LOVED to explore and climb the rocks and had to be fed there on occasion… :)
The best was when a llama came by to the base on the biggest rock where they sat.
The fire pit is awesone and right next to a water spigot.
One of the days we stayed it was 100 degrees out for a couple of hours. The civil outdoor showers neraby were a rescue for all. The breeze from the ocean took care of the heatwave in minutes and we had another fantastic evening by the fire on the rocks! Thank you!

My family, church members, and I had an incredibly joyful camping trip. We were surrounded by nature in a secluded spot, and a herd of goats grazed through our site in the evening and morning, delighting us with their presence. Feeding the animals, the stunning natural scenery, and the starry skies were absolutely fantastic.

So many safe bike trails and farm animals. Our 8-10yo kids spent lots of time exploring, climbing and flexing their independent muscles, while we safely relaxed back at our beautiful, private campsite. The bell tent with twin beds were sooo clutch as well! We also got a great tip about a swimming hole with a fun little beach down the hill. Thank you, Ben and team, for the lovely weekend :)

My partner, pup and I loved camping at Splitrock! The hosts and guests were all so sweet and welcoming. We enjoyed the hikes along the property and the amazing views, as well as hanging with the goats and Alpaca. This was well worth the trip out from LA and we can’t wait to come back for another three day weekend!

Oak grove was really nice. The sites under the oaks are IMO much nicer to be in the shade. But other sites were good too, but imagine would be really hot in summer.
We have a 26’ travel trailer, and it was mildly challenging on the roads leading in, if you are a trailer rookie, I wouldn’t recommend.
A few people arrived, only to be told the ‘first come first serve’ site they had already set up in had been reserved... so had to move. Would suggest checking at the site office first.
Goats and other animals were great for the kids.

High recommend. Horizons is super secluded from the rest of the camps. This site felt super cozy. We didn't run into any issues upon arrival. Everyone was super friendly. Bring a lot of drinking water.

The Oak Grove Communal Camping
The property is truly so beautiful and there are so many options for a fun camping experience. We camped in the communal campgrounds in oak grove and it was perfect for a quick camping trip with our four year old and our pup. Our son loved the goats and all the many places to hike and explore. The call host was so friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be coming back, and will be brining friends!

I don't know how the same campsite goes from less than $30 on one Friday night to over $50 the next Friday night. Maybe because there was higher demand is that how hip camp works? If so maybe it should be called hip scam.

Shady Splitrock Spring
We loved camping at Splitrock Farm and Retreat! We loved the goats, alpacas and pigs and our kid had the best time there, saying "why don't we live here?". We recommend this place to anyone with kids who are eager to explore and happy to encounter cute farm animals.
The place was in very good shape and quiet, we loved it and will soon be back.

The views from Rock bottom are incredible! The site does not have any water or bathroom, but both of those can be found about a 5-8 minute walk away at the camp store area. All of the site hosts were very kind and helpful and we loved meeting and interacting with all of the farm animals!

Incredible place to stay, clean, stunning views and plant life, love the large boulder rocks. The place is very calming, private and unique with large beautiful plants and a boulder landscape. Loved the goat heard crossing, so friendly and cute :) very sweet. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to book again and be back soon!

Such a beautiful site with nature's visitors!
Had activity during the day from the local goats and alpaca and sounds of visitors at night going trough my campsite.
This site was private and the perfect getaway.
Was able to setup my telescope, tent and hammock with ample space.
Will visit again with a bigger group next time.
