Easy to follow directions, super flat, no leveling needed. The RV area is not super large, and even though all the spots were filled, I still didn't feel too close to neighbors. We had a nice spot with lots of trees, close to vineyards, plus trash and recycling right there. 5 stars!

John was friendly and helpful with advice on spots, when we arrived. Will be honest, not quite what we expected when we arrived. However, once we settled in we discovered this place was comfortable and well situated for what we had planned. No frills here but worked well for us. Has more of a cozy neighborhood feel.

We loved our site. Perfectly quiet and the other guests were super friendly. I would totally stay there again. Very conveniently located by the wineries and away from traffic. The WiFi was also great which was a huge unexpected bonus. We were there with 3 other RVers and it worked wonderfully. Thanks!

We liked how remote it was. But it is not, so very close to town. Very nice, and tucked away. All the campers we came into contact with, were very friendly, including, John the owner!! We Will be back!!

RV site was clean and comfortable with enough trees for shade. Very quiet day and night and is in wine country Temecula so easy access to main roads getting you everywhere you'd want to go. Open area to maneuver backing in which is so important! I'd definitely recommend this site.

This spot was perfect for our weekend getaway!
It’s close to all the winery’s and 15 mins from lake Skinner. We loved bringing our dogs for the trip and were very satisfied overall with this location.

It is a lovely place. In wine country. I loved the space I chose. It had full hookups. Very clean. I really enjoyed my stay. Very close to Temecula and many things to do. Flowering bushes.
It is a space limited area. My rig fit fine. 27 ft travel trailer.

Overall it was okay, however would have expected more for the price and by reading the description. This is basically a „parking lot“, no views or charme. Also the „public fire pit“ is next to a large RV / almost within this private area, so it does rather seem to belong to this site and its inviting.

Incredibly sweet spot smack dab in the center of wine country! We parked our 55 Flying Cloud no problem after turning into the property (good heads up on spotting the entrance - see the pictures they post on that..). Outstanding value for a boutique campground with full hookups! Would return in a minute.

Great spot! Safe, easy to get around from and excellent communication from the host, which was speedy and so helpful as we were stuck for a spot to stay for the night after another place fell through.

The area is amazing. The hood is safe, quiet and very enjoyable and close to town.
The host is very responsible and flexible so appreciated that.
The camp is a bit tight with others staying there. Took some time but got to like it. You better like dogs cause there are a few roaming around.

After viewing the pictures on HipCamp we were surprised by the density. However, all the campers were courteous, the sites were clean and level and who could complain about the location!

Wine Country Glamping

Stayed here for 2 weeks in a 42’ 5th wheel while visiting our son and really enjoyed our stay. John and Kim were helpful, accommodating and overall great hosts. The RV sites are good size and the full hookups are a plus, however, maneuvering a large 5th wheel and getting backed into the sites is a bit challenging due to the limited area available but John was very helpful spotting for me. Other than the Blue Heelers mentioned in the Hip Camp description and that we only met once, we did have two other dogs hang around camp but were no problem for us or cause any issues. John’s land is close to and just a short drive to many great wineries that we enjoyed as well. Overall a great stay that I would recommend to everyone. Looking forward to our next trip to Temecula and another stay at Cottonwood Creek. Thanks John and Kim!

Hidden Gem in Temecula Wine Country

This great little nook in the heart of wine country delivers as promised! John has a charming setup on about an acre of land, nestled in a small vale between two hills, right in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. The fall colors during our stay were stunning and added to the peaceful ambiance.
The campsite is well thought out: the spots are level, the hookups worked perfectly, and the WiFi was surprisingly solid at about 12 Mbps (though I mainly used my Starlink, which had enough open sky for a strong connection). On Friday, I enjoyed a scenic hike at Wilderness Gardens County Park, just 30 minutes away through the Pala reservation. On Saturday, my wife and I had a delightful time wine tasting at local vineyards, a highlight of the trip.
One thing to note for first-time visitors: the turn into John’s site off Calle Nopal is easy to miss. The sign is small and partially hidden behind a fence post, so drive carefully and keep an eye out.
John is an exceptional host who went above and beyond when I needed help maneuvering my trailer after accidentally pulling into a neighboring property. His kindness and assistance made our stay stress-free.
This is a fantastic spot for a quick getaway, and we’ll definitely return for more wine country adventures and relaxation. Highly recommend!

This could have been my favourite Hipcamp experience yet (stayed at 5 previously, 4 being more expensive). Unfortunately I’ve changed my mind because of the dog that was barking there. I’m not sure if the dog was responding to my 2yr old son crying initially and is maybe a bit unsure of small children but the dog’s response made my husband and I uncomfortable with our son going outside the RV to play. I’m a dog person and my son loves dogs (we have 2 at home in the UK) so it made me a bit sad that this is the reason I can’t be so positive about this camp. The positives of this camp is that the location is great and the price is incredibly reasonable for full hookups! If it’s only adults staying, I’m sure this camp would be perfect

My husband and I spent 3 nights. It was amazing, clean, quiet, and relaxing. John responded to our questions quickly. Loved that there was WiFi available. Camp was right in the middle of the wineries and town. Also, loved the full hookups. I definitely recommend this Hipcamp.

We totally loved staying at John's Hipcamp. We spent the weekend while visiting family in Temecula, and would certainly love to return next time we're in the area. The location is ideal - close to town, yet remote, quiet, and there's plenty of space for your trailer and vehicle. There weren't any other campers around this weekend, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. We took a spot underneath two large cottonwood trees so we had shade most of the day and the trailer stayed cool despite the August heat. Best of all - there were no glaring street lights to shine into your RV window all night, and no neighbors 5 feet away from you. The internet was super fast and I was able to easily participate in a zoom meeting. The whole camp site is clean and orderly, and has a very comfortable and safe feel. Having full hookups in a remote spot was amazing. And camping here gave us an opportunity to walk our dogs between vineyards we passed on the neighboring roads - we never would have had the time to explore this area otherwise. An absolutely wonderful place to stay, highly recommend it!
