Host Adam King says:
This whole area is a collection of small Vermont hill farms. Primrose Hill was a farm from its construction in the 1850s until the 1920s or 1930s. In the 1940s a family from Maryland bought it and used it for a few weeks a year as a summer house until I bought it last year. The house didn't get electricity until the mid-1980s, and running water in the early 1990s, so it's remained mostly unchanged for a long time, but over the last century the pastures that once surrounded the house have been taken over by dense forest, like most of the state has been. The house is the iconic high-posted cape style that's absolutely everywhere in Vermont, so to call it quintessential isn't an overstatement. It's peaceful, private, and quiet, and has a really good vibe.
