EXACTLY what we were looking for. So peaceful, quiet, and absolutely beautiful and clean. Weather was a little iffy while we were there. We were at campsite #4 - highly recommend. You can’t see any other campsites, there’s a trail with some beautiful scenery at the end, and you have soooo much space for all of your stuff! Read the instructions on how to get there three times over. It’s a little confusing, and the terrain is rough so I would make sure to bring some type of 4 wheel drive. We took my husbands truck, but my sedan wouldn’t have made it.

This site was very beautiful and secluded. I enjoyed the tree coverage, beautiful views, and the peace and quiet. Theres lots of dry fallen wood to collect for a fire so thats nice. You cant see other campers from this site, which I appreciated. I will say the instructions to get to the campsite are a bit confusing. We found ourselves having to circle back after ending up at the wrong property. The roads are really rough and we struggled a bit with our Toyota Camry, so a warning regarding that would be good.The site is also gravel which was hard to sleep on for tent camping. You definitely need thick pads to sleep on or you'll feel the rocks. It was rough on our dog's paws after awhile. Given that there's no water and the porta potty isn't really accessible I think the price per night is pretty steep. There's also no real trails to hike, so you have to drive to nearby trails if you don't want to explore the very inclined property. So overall, Id be more satisfied if the site wasn't as expensive. But still had an enjoyable camping trip here for sure.

Such an easy drive from the Boulder area, yet felt like I was really getting away. The property was private with space to wander, including a interesting rock outcrop area. The sites are nicely spaced out and each had a nice fire ring and picnic table. My pup enjoyed it as much as I did!

We were seeking a spot for a family camping trip over Labor Day weekend. This campground checked off every box on our list. The campsite was easy to find and close to home. We loved the trees and large rocks – gave us something fun to explore. The site was quiet… there were other campers at the campground, yet they didn’t impact our experience. There’s a flock of wild turkeys that roamed the campground… this was highly entertaining to our dogs! I would recommend the site to anyone looking for a camping retreat that doesn’t involve I-70 or 285 traffic.

We just LOVE this place! Easy to get to from Highlands Ranch, but you feel like you’re in the middle of the mountains! The road to get there does require some good tires, but definitely doable with an off-road RV. I love the fact that this place donates all of the proceeds! The rock outcroppings are beautiful and fun to go sit on and look at the beautiful views.

Beautiful campsite 3 tucked away in the valley with a great spot to spread out, some privacy but campsite 2 is on top of the hill that overlooks this site.

Secluded quick getaway!

Great spot! We only drove 40 minutes out of the city and felt a world away. Camp site #1 was very private, lots of tress, and very clean! We will come again! Though we will arrange for a bathroom alternatives because the pit toilet there wasn't in great shape. Other than that, we loved it there!

Beautiful, Private Spot

WoW, we stayed in Site 4 and the spot was beautiful. It was perfect for our A-liner. Very private, and was perfect for our family. This site is not under any trees, but we prefer that so Star-link works perfectly. I have a telescope and the level ground made it perfectly for sky gazing.

A quiet, relaxing, private spot.

Camp site three is awesome! It was pretty private. One note, you have to drive past campsite #1 to find it. The bugs here were super reasonable. I had a thermacell set up at our site and the mosquitos barely bugged us (no pun intended 😂). There was a ton of shade at spot 3 and our popup camper made it there just fine. The overall price was high, but it may favorite spot I've been to so far on hipcamp.

Beautiful campsite! Close to town but far enough away from other campers that we didn't see anyone once we set up camp for the entire trip. Well maintained, great fire pit and picnic table. We would love to stay here again.

Site 1 - CampCHERIshed-Camp for a Cause

The Pros: The site itself (we were at site 4) was gorgeous. It was very private since it was the furthest up of the sites at this camp and had plenty of space for our 4 cars, 4 tents, and our canopy tent. There were plenty of trees for hammocking around the site as well. I would highly recommend going up the hill to watch the sunset/sunrise over the rocks at the top! The host, Natalie is also very quick to respond to questions, which was very helpful and appreciated! The Cons: we had a bit of a hard time finding the site itself based on the provided instructions. Be careful not to follow the written instructions too soon as you may end up in someone’s private driveway. After messaging the host when we got home, she said there are geotagged locations on the listings, which we missed, so that may help as well. Also be aware that the roads up to the site are quite steep in some sections and there is a lot of washout that makes it a challenge for some cars. Our 4 wheel drives did fine, but our sedan had a few moments where it spun out for a second. We also were not able to find the pit toilet that was marked as ‘available if necessary’ in the listing. We planned on not having access to a bathroom anyways, but just be aware that we were not given the location of the pit toilet, and we did not see it at all during our time there. This site really is great, just be aware of what you are getting into and plan accordingly!

This is an idyllic camping spot. Great for families. Fun rock caves. Lots of deer, wild turkeys, birds, and very secluded. A bit hard to find exact spot but owners are very responsive so we had no trouble. We will tell our friends and go again for sure!

CampCherished is an amazing campsite. Our Scout Troop stayed there for 2 nights and had a blast. This is one of the few places near Denver where you can feel like you're camping deep in the woods and feel connected to nature. Sites were clean and quiet!!

This was accessible from Denver yet felt quiet and remote because it wasn’t a huge state park campground. The dirt road was narrow and bumpy but totally passable in a 4wd. It was not wet and muddy on this day so I can’t say if that would make it more tricky. The actual site was immaculate. Fire ring, picnic table, and level tent spot were exactly as you’d hope. This choice is only appropriate if you’re the kind of camper/vehicle that can haul in enough firewood and water for consuming and washing. And yes, tools to go to the bathroom. Inly animal visitors were some wild turkeys. I would like to stay again soon.

We have come here 3 years in a row and love it. Great areas to hike in, spot 3 has multiple areas where you can put several tents and outhouse access is just up the hill. Good mix of shade and sun with the trees. Definitely check weather and come prepared for anything (gotta love Colorado!), we had a bit of hail this time! No service, a great break from everything. Thank you Natalie!

Unexpected Hunting Camp

This entire experience and situation could have been improved by letting campers know that hunting is allowed on the same property and within feet of the camping spots so I could have made an informed choice on booking. As well as ensuring that there are no large, several person camouflaged hunting blinds set up in the woods pointing directly at the tent pad area. That was the scene I arrived to when re-visiting this listing. Unfortunately this felt incredibly unsafe. As a single mom traveling with 3 kids I always check the area before unloading them. It didn't take long to discover the hunting blind positioned only a couple of feet from the tree line directly in front of the camping spot. Of course I became alarmed and moved us to a different spot on the property and reached out to the host. I expected understanding given the charity work that this host boasts to do with traumatized women but instead was told that yes, she does allow hunting, but not to worry because it wasn't happening then. I verbalized how unsafe it feels but my concerns were dismissed and told that she feels safe on her own property so there's no reason for me to feel otherwise. The environment was made even more eerie because we were the only campers on the property. Without high visibility clothes, no personal protection, and the human trafficking vibes, I took the 2 hour drive home.
