The Main Campsite is located in the middle of the property on the largest clearing. This cleared area, approximately 1 acre, is flat and grassy. There is town water and power available, but not right at this campsite. Great spot to set up camp, with plenty of room, and explore the nearby area during the day. Plenty to do in Sussex Inlet!

Shallowford Main Campsite
This is a hard review. We have a large 12mt vehicle towing a trailer and are 4mts high, I specifically asked the questions, will we fit on the property given our requirements and also stressed that if the ground is soft we would get bogged due to the size of our motorhome. Unfortunately the host may not have understood our size, the access was hard for us off the road, as there was a tree in the driveway so we had to follow the fence line to even get in. The site in-front of the house was covered with low trees which was no good for our size, and the back of the property was were we went and promptly got bogged! Upon contact with the host (as he was not there) telling him we were bogged, we received no reply, which was a bit stressful. Anyways we contacted a 4 x 4 recovery company and they were able to tow us out $400. All in all a very stressful situation for me. Brad kindly refunded our payment. But I would suggest this property not suitable for larger vehicles, even a larger 4WD caravan would struggle. The sites are situated either at the front of the house or below. Im sorry to leave this review, but I was really disappointed.

We had a very pleasant stay at Shallowford and enjoyed the peacefulness and close location to the Beach. Look forward to returning on another location.

Shallowford Main Campsite
Peaceful campsite, away from the road. A short drive to Sussex Inlet Beach, which while beautiful is not patrolled - but there's an awesome cafe right there. Campsite has town water, although not to hook up. Brad is very easy to deal with. Thanks for having us!
