Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. We only have 4 powered areas that are located in Campground 1. Centrally located between Nimbin and Murwillumbah in the small town of Kunghur NSW, is the Misty Mountain Campground where you’ll see the morning mist roll in, then clear to reveal spectacular days. The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer. On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day. Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes.. PLEASE NOTE - Children aged between 3 and 15 are booked under Child Rates, Children 2 and under are Free and do not have to be booked in. Hundred Tents Campgrounds is also available for General Camping during Easter and the Xmas break and Public Holiday Weekends.

We had an amazing last-minute getaway at this beautiful farm. The property was peaceful, well maintained, and the perfect spot to unwind. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to leave our caravan on-site after checkout while we visited Wild Bull, which we really appreciated. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

Thank you soooo .. much, Rick & Cheryl for allowing me to stay at your beautiful property! The sites are spacious, the grass was lush and Cheryl’s daughter even comes around to deliver freshly baked cakes and biscuits (if you’ve ordered them) Rick brings firewood and Cheryl is a delight to chat with. I loved the ability to use the kayaks not needing to bring my own.

Rick and Cheryl are warm friendly hosts and had firewood, eggs, cakes for sale such a spe ial treat. We all enjoyed the animal feeding time, which gave the place an extra special touch. The camp area beside the river was well shaded, clean and well kept and the toilets also clean and not smelly. Of course the river was fantastic swimming on such hot summer days and nights and I enjoyed the peace of kayaking in one of many water craft available. Highly recommended.

The staff were extremely kind and friendly. We enjoyed an amazing view, and it was absolutely the best to see the dogs running freely on the large grassy area. We also went kayaking and swimming at the nearby dam, and honestly, we had such an incredibly happy time. There are kayaks and life jackets available, so you must go to the dam and enjoy some water activities!!! 👍🏻

Richard and Roslyn’s Riverside Farm Escape is one of our favourite Hipcamps. The sites are clearly marked, really well maintained, and the grass was mint. There’s heaps for the kids to do — a small soccer pitch, canoeing on the river and the lily dam, plus clean toilets and showers. Fishing down on the river was lively as well. If you’re travelling with kids, they’ll be well and truly entertained. This will definitely be our go-to stop when heading past.

1 night at The Riverside Farm Escape Minimbah

We had a wonderful overnight stop travelling between Sydney and Brisbane. We had a peaceful, private spot with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The property was easy to find, safe and offered great views of the river. Facilities were clean and well looked after, and everything was exactly as described in the listing, which made arrival and set-up simple. Our host was welcoming, responsive to messages, and gave clear directions. We would happily stay again and recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy, no-fuss break between Sydney and Brisbane.

The Blue Mountains

Lace up your boots for one of Australia's best bushwalking destinations. The ridge of mountains two hours west of Sydney by road or train is a World Heritage-listed wonderland of sandstone canyons, waterfalls, valleys, and clifftop lookouts. NSW North Coast

The coastline of northern NSW, from north of Newcastle to the Queensland border, is classic beach holiday territory. Almost every town has at least one caravan park, often with waterfront campsites, and most of the coastline is protected by national parks with fantastic camping spots and facilities. Flanked by the Great Dividing Range and World Heritage rainforests, the North Coast has Hipcampers spoilt for choice.

NSW South Coast

Every bit as wild as the North Coast, the South Coast stretches south of Sydney to the Victorian border with a string of national parks, state forests, campgrounds, and seaside towns with family-friendly holiday parks. Kangaroos and wallabies graze the camping grounds and laze on the beaches, which have some of the whitest sand in the world. Kayak the waterways, bushwalk the forests, and soak in the views from the mountaintops.

Snowy Mountains

Alpine New South Wales, also known as the Snowy Mountains, stretches from the ACT south to the Victorian border along the spine of the Great Dividing Range. Along with hundreds of camping spots, the big attraction of Kosciuszko National Park—the largest national park in NSW—is Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko. In winter, the area is a magnet for skiers, and in summer, fishing, bushwalking, and mountain biking reign supreme.

NSW Outback

The far western corner of NSW is a great introduction to the Outback, where endless red dust plains seem to stretch on forever under cloudless blue skies. Take a road trip out here and you'll see plenty of kangaroos and emus, but not many people. National parks such as Mungo, Mutawintji, and Kinchega offer superb camping spots, Aboriginal art sites, and stunning scenery.
