PLEASE NOTE: ALL SITES HAVE CREEK FRONTAGE. ALL SITES ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER ON THE CREEK, STARTING AT 1L 1R 2L 2R 3L 3R 4L 4R 5L 5R 6L 6R. ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PORTABLE TOILET. Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond. Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire; however, they do work out quite expensive, unless you are in a group and share the cost. Toilet hire is $200 for your stay. Please message to book a porta loo. Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. No large items such as gazebos or mattresses to be placed in the bin provided. Dog friendly, however ALL dogs MUST be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY. Personal fire pits are NOT to be used. May be subject to fire bans. Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim. Please feel free to message prior to booking to ask any questions.

A great campsite for off grid camping. Well maintained and super friendly helpful hosts. We really enjoyed the peaceful surrounds and having a dip in the creek. Can’t wait to return. Thanks for having us.

Absolutely gorgeous camping ground. Very neatly kept, quiet and peaceful. Host was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! The creek was perfect for our inflatable boats and swim rings. We did lot of fishing, but only thing we catch were eels. There were also lot of turtles in the creek, which was quite special.

Was an excellent spot. Quiet, easy to find and spacious. More than enough space to park an 8.5m caravan length ways facing the creek. Grass was great too, no need for a ground mat under the awning. Owners are great and come around every evening to say g’day and see if you need anything. As the add says you need to be self sufficient. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at site 3R over the easter long weekend after an insanely busy start to the year with full time jobs and full time kids!! But I think we've found our happy place!! Only 30mins out of Beaudesert, and close enough to duck off after work on a Friday, for a weekend of downtime. It really is a lost world, surrounded by the Lamington NP ranges and everything that this part of the world has to offer. Plenty of exploring to be had, or just do a whole bunch of nothing, and soak up the best of the ever flowing Christmas Creek. We did drive 30mins into Rathdowney for a pub lunch and stocked up on donuts an jerky from the markets. Absolutely plenty of room to park a 22ft van broadside to the creek. I was somewhat disappointed that the grass is better than mine at home, and yes I felt guilty putting down our ground mat to cover it up. We're usually are off grid remote campers to avoid sharing the stars and despite this place being booked out it doesn't feel cramped! Caralyn and David are two wonderful humans that have created a place for the rest of us to claw back of sanity and do some bare foot grounding on that grass!! Along with a welcoming disposition and daily check of top up of fire work ($15). Be prepared to become family. Please note you'll need to be self sufficient , leave it better than you found it (good luck with that). No cell range or phone reception. Bring cash for firewood. Dump point at either Darlington or Rathdowney. We'll be back soon!!

It has taken us 18 months or so to get back to Christmas Creek Bush Retreat due to unforseen circumstances but we are happy to say it is still as beautiful and relaxing as ever. Well kept grounds due to owners obviously care about their property and the campers experience. A truly lovely place.

This Property hosted by the amazing Husband & Wife Team of Carolyn & David, was nothing short of Epic. Their property is immaculately maintained, awesome hospitality, I would highly recommend stopping in for a few nights to be able to absorb the amazing Lamington national Park & local area's!!

Very pretty spot and well maintained. The creek was clean and flowing nicely. The only downside is the lack of dump points in the area - otherwise we could have stayed longer.

We had such a great stay here. The property is absolutely stunning and it’s clear how much care and pride the owners put into maintaining it, everything is so well looked after. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The owners were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The grounds here are immaculate. The lawn is one of the best kept we have stayed on. Very large sites, not too close to the road and nice and close to the river. Site 6 right is on a slight hill so bring extra blocks. 6 left and 5 right required minimal leveling. Plenty of well maintained fire pits and the fire wood was great value for money.

We loved it!! The sites are well maintained, flat, grassy and sites are easy to get too. The views are amazing, camping right next to the creek listening to the running water at night was so peaceful. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with any request. Definitely will be back.

We loved staying at site 6R. The creek was flowing nicely when we were there, enough to swim and use our paddle board in. The surrounding mountain ridges are a beautiful backdrop to the campsite. The property is very well maintained, and the grass is so lovely to camp on. And we loved being able to enjoy a campfire at night. We would definitely love to come back to this spot. Thanks for having us stay!
