We love staying at this spot! 3rd time
Great times for the entire family as we watched fireworks and made alot of new fond memories. Boys had fun kayaking and paddle boarding.

We truly enjoyed our visit to Serapio's camp. It's rustic nature and privacy appealed to us. It is clean, well maintained, and restful. The hunting-fishing camp decor was spot on for us as we kept noticing small details. We didn't bring a generator, but did have a small solar power setup and solar shower that met our needs. If our path leads us back this way, we'll pay Beaver Pond another visit.

We enjoyed our stay! Kids went kayaking and fishing every chance they could. Plenty of fish to catch in the pond. The area was quiet and tucked away from the road which we liked. Everything in description was there as stated.

We had a great time! Nice cabin and pond. Serapio was very helpful and quick to respond. We brought a 300w battery pack(Jackery) which powered the outside lights and other chargeable things. Used it inside to plug in lamps. Only used generator for shower and dishes. Filled back of toilet with water bucket and other containers we had if generator not on. We brought a propane heater that is usable inside, but saw there was one in bedroom when we were leaving. Nice break from city life! We will be back. Our dogs had a great time too!!

Our family had a fun and relaxing time here. Fishing was good, and the amenities were comfortable. We used the generator when needing to shower, wash dishes, or flush the toilet (it was pretty loud). Otherwise, we kept the place warm using the cast iron wood burning stove and lit candles/used flashlights to see at night. The stars were big and bright! We had fun sitting around the fire pit making s’mores and had a good laugh when an armadillos came through. I really enjoyed laying in one of several hammocks to read and listen to the birds. Something we did not expect was for our teen girls to really enjoy chopping wood of all things! Serapio is a very responsive and generous host. Highly recommend!

5 stars! We loved this place—the location was great, and it was quiet and comfortable. The amenities were excellent, and the host was very friendly and helpful. He even offered free firewood, and there was plenty of it. Also we are impressed with the facilities and quick response received from the host

We loved our stay, it was so fun! Well stocked cabin, we loved staying warm with the wood stove. We’re so glad there was plenty of fire wood ready for us to use. Our dogs loved running around the cabin. We caught bass and blue gill in the pond. I think as long as you’re prepared for an off grid stay, you’ll have a great time!

It’s our first time to go camping w my son and discovered this serene and lovely cabin. Just fire up the generator and everything will light up for you and water overflows! I love the bed and the blankets, the books (esp ‘The Living on the Rugged edge’ by Charles Swindoll); small items like the mobile phone reset pin is there! Twas a really good rest w nature plus fishing time too. This is my dream cabin in the future. Well, overall we would like to recommend this for a good bonding time w your son. In fact, we are extending our stay for few more days. Thanks Sir Serapio, our host, for the kind help and excellent communication skills. He is always available everytime I have a question. Thanks again!

We had a fabulous time at the cabin! It was a beautiful lake and a very comfortable sleeping arrangement as well as plenty of firewood. I wish the grill would have worked or had propane in it but other than that everything was dandy! Thank you Serapio!!

We had an amazing time! The pond and surrounding area were beautiful. We had a couple campfires and a lot of fun kayaking. The generator did give us issues a couple times but the host was very responsive and helpful. We will be back for sure :)

The cabin was well stocked and had almost everything we needed. Serapio was very communicative and answered all questions.
I recommend stopping by Bonham state park if you would like to swim in a lake.

“This was our first time staying in a cabin, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. Everything was perfect. The cabin was very well equipped and had everything we needed. There were plenty of things to do, and my wife and I enjoyed every moment. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back!”

Kids loved fishing. They had utensils.i forgot to take coffee powder. They had coffee powder too. Paper plates and basics they had. They had generator. If we switch on the generator we could flush toilet.

Overall had a good experience but I think it depends on what your looking for. This is definitely more primitive than not, as the generator was available, it was difficult for us to use and loud so you aren't going to have it running for long. We went in looking for primitive so not a negative to me.
The cabin/bunker was super cozy and housed the three of us out of the elements (which is what we wanted) and we built great campfires to sit around. We also loved having access to the pond, kayak and paddle boards. The host does not leave you bored as it is packed with tons of things to do including archery and fishing!
The largest concern we had was the amount of broken glass and screws we found around it. Be watchful to your furry babies and anyone walking around barefoot.

Loved this place so much we had to come back a week later for a two night stay! We got to enjoy kayaking on the pond, relaxed on the hammocks, grilled an amazing dinner and even caught some fish! Would absolutely recommend this place! The host is very accommodating and helpful! Recommended some beautiful spots to check out near by and was very responsive. Cannot wait for our next adventure at Beavers pond.

Wonderful stay! Has so many upgrades that makes it camping/glamping at its best. Having a generator was nice so we could have electricity when we want but mostly just enjoyed the outdoors! Fun fishing, kayaking and chilling by the fire! We would definitely love to return- Serapio is a great host and responds quickly to messages! We overpacked though since he has so many amenities ready for us- loved all the details put into it! I give our time here a 10/10!

I absolutely loved this cabin! It is beautifully set up and host was very gracious. The kayaks and paddleboard were a fun addition. Host was very communicative as well. Will definitely be back in the future.

We had a great time - even with a rainstorm! We loved a peaceful little kayak float on the pond and the ability to hook up the generator for water and electric. We were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the cabin is and overall just had a really sweet getaway here where my dog could roam a bit.
