Our Hipcamp is nestled in a forest of Pine and Cedar trees on over an acre of land. You'll be surrounded by the sights, smell, and sounds of nature making for a very relaxing getaway. The property is near lakes (Lake McCumber is half a mile away), Lassen Volcanic National Park is 15 minutes away and Burney Falls, the Eighth Wonder of the World only 45 minutes away. There are neighbors on one side so be courteous and observe the quiet hours. Shingletown is a ten minute drive up Highway 44 for all you grocery needs, eating out, and gasoline. There is a bathroom with hot shower, disc golf and a dog kennel on the property.

This site has a propane firepit table for that "campfire" experience at night. There is charcoal BBQ pit - just bring your own charcoal briquets. Come out to our forest getaway at the gateway to Lassen Volcanic National Park and the Lassen National Forest. Nestled on over an acre of pine and cedar trees, you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature in this beautiful rural neighborhood.  Lake McCumber is a half mile away for fishing and kayaking. Dept. of Fish & Wildlife stock the lake regularly with trout. The northern gate to Lassen Volcanic National Park, with its lakes and miles of hiking trails, is around ten miles away.  Also in close proximity is the world-famous fly fishing paradise of Hat Creek,  Subway Cave is a 1/3 mile underground lava tube, and the Eighth Wonder of the World - Burney Falls. is within 45 minutes. At this time we have portable bathroom/shower facilities. New bathroom with hot shower.  But each site will have a charcoal BBQ. Bring your own table and chairs and GARBAGE BAGS to take away all your trash. Hope you consider us for your next camp trip. For added fun a new two basket par 3 disc golf course is now in the property. Use our discs or bring your own.

Nestled on over an acre of pine and cedar trees, you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature in this beautiful rural neighborhood.  Lake McCumber is a half mile away for fishing and kayaking. There is a portable toilet and hand wash station at the campsite, as well as a an outdoor shower. But each site will have a charcoal BBQ. Bring your own table and chairs, charcoal and GARBAGE BAGS to take away all your trash. Hope you consider us for your next camp trip. You will feel like you're truly camping in a forest. Dogs are always welcome. There is a kennel on-site but please do not leave them unattended. Please pick up after your pets. New bathroom unit with hot water. For added fun a new two basket par 3 disc golf course is now in the property. Use our discs or bring your own. This site has a picnic table, BBQ and propane firepit.

The trailer is situated amongst the Pine & Cedar trees of the Island Warrior property. Fresh air and peace and quiet will fill your days and nights. The trailer is fully self-contained with queen bed, hot and cold water, microwave, fridge and aircon. There is also a bigger outdoor toilet and shower facility on the property that is shared with the two camp sites. All the major attractions are a short distance away. Redding is 40 minutes away with a host of attractions, restaurants and shopping. The trailer will sleep four people comfortably. For added fun a new two basket par 3 disc golf course is now in the property. Use our discs or bring your own.

Off the beaten track. Very private. Nice facility. Enjoyed the frisbee golf. Enjoyed the frog in the bathroom. Nice grove of pine trees. A little tight for our 17' trailer, but totally doable.

This was beautiful and quiet—so amazing how many stars you could see at night. Very well kept. Extra plus is the nice toilet and shower facility which you don’t see much at hipcamps. I’m going to stay here every time I visit Lassen Volcanic. National Park.

The host was very nice and he even made coffee for us in the morning. The whole retreat felt super enjoyful, the amenities were also great as there were showers, flush toilets and grills. Would 100% recommend if you’re looking to camp near Lassen.

We had a nice, quiet stay at this camp site. The host was very friendly and helpful. The instructions to get to this specific site were a little confusing. This camp site is located at the back of the property, behind the RV.

The campsite was great - proximity to Lassen, organized, safe, quiet, hot shower, electrical outlets, and charcoal grills. Mel was also friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about what to do nearby. Hope to stay again soon!

I loved the camping experience. We arrived after dark so could not really enjoy the surrounding. Very quiet and felt really safe given it’s within good neighborhoods. Highly recommended. FYI restrooms were open but there was no running water, but HOST mentioned that in the info section so we were prepared. Would be really awesome if the restrooms were to be available.

Loved calling Mel’s Hipcamp home for a night! It was not far at all from Lassen Natl Park, was well maintained & even had charcoal bbqs and disc golf on site! Definitely plan on utilizing this camp again! Thanks for having us!

Mel was very friendly, greeted us when we arrived and explained the site. Good amenities, glad to have a shower and toilet, though the head was leaking quite badly. Would stay again if I'm in the area!

Private, quiet and perfect location. Picked this spot to car camp Saturday into Sunday for a last minute decision and im glad i did. The location was perfect for visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park and was only 15 minutes from west side park entrance. The site was in a forested neighborhood and behind the owners home amongst the trees. Site had a flushing toilet and shower available, which was a huge plus. I felt safe being a solo traveler and would stay here again if I was back in the area visiting the park.
