Host Margaret Bruning says:
West Virginia Mountain Camp is a secluded, mostly wooded, 40-acre mountainside homestead outside Elkins, West Virginia. Our home was built during the 1980s by back-to-the-landers yearning for freedom, rural peace and a better world. Much of the hilly terrain is untouched or only lightly used, with just one house and two outbuildings plus a ramshackle cabin that echoes back to earlier times when the property was a working apple orchard. The unique architecture of the back-to-the-land movement is rarely accessible to the general public. To stay on this property is a treat for those who appreciate nature, Americana and quietude.
