Robin's Hood is an open spacious site. It has a table, kindling to pick up, raised copper campfire, walnut trees, and a grassy slope where deer frolic by a dry streambed. Park at the site which is down a gravel driveway.
Lola’s Loop site is private, less open, enclosed in a natural habitat accessible by short path. Metal campfire holder. No toilet or furniture.
The Rocks is shady, lots of wood to burn, firepit, next to a lawn and a natural habitat for animals. Drive to site.

It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private.
As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping.
Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

Over regulation made it very difficult to manage so we let it lie foul for years.
Then we let a fellow farmer use it to graze his cattle.
Now our children has taking it over and are raising beef cattle on the property.
Our campsite lies on the beautiful two and a half century old LeFevre family farmstead with rich history and stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

We are located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, close to the Village of
Rhinebeck and the Hudson River.
There are many things to do within a half an hour of the campsite.

A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather.
Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound. Plenty of privacy with screens around the site.
Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more. Rainy days no problem explore one of our nations pieces of history, Vanderbilt mansion, Theodore Roosevelt home, Montgomery Place Mansion, Poets walk, Ferncliff forest, or Art Omi.

We love having chill rock climbers, hikers and families on our farm/wedding venue. It's not a campground! It's just a super cool place to have some privacy and a camp fire and be really close to the best hiking and climbing, and swimming holes and farmers markets and road biking around.Horse farm / Wedding venue super close to Gunx, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, Lipman Park (Mt biking) Great for rock climbers, families, hikers, horse folks.Sites are private with fire pits. the locals know our street because of the indigenous people and early Dutch settlers mixing with the slaves. Much history here, with the small town of stone houses, making Hurley a national historic destination.
This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities!
The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you.

We are conveniently located next to the NY Thruway exit 19 & 209 Highway yet super secluded and in nature’s paradise adjacent to the Sawkill River and across a large private Forrest. There is some road noise from Sawkill road & the Thruway dependent on the spot you choose to set up. If your’e tenting you can be in the woods way up in the forest, but most campers prefer our spot near the Sawkill River. I have fire pits, common outdoor furniture & a gasBBQ’s that can be used. There is chickens, bees & goats & 2 guardian life stocks dogs that live with the goats. I also have a small Terrier & a farm cat. A lot of outdoor activity with bird watching, bunnies, deer & the groundhogs say good night. It’s rural yet only 10 minutes to Kingston uptown and about 20 minutes to Woodstock. About 1 hr from Hunter & Windham Mountain resorts and 45 minutes to Belleayre Ski.

The people of Ulster County and those who visit have a long history of enjoying the great outdoors and we bought this property to do just that! The property has many interesting aspects including great views, old stone walls, old building foundations, and lots of wildlife. The babbling Brandy Brook runs along the edge of the property and though shallow is ready to dip your toes into. We have cleared multiple trails and they are ready for you to explore.
Local legend says that Mr. Dowe himself lived and farmed here and even had a small distillery on the property.
My husband Andrew and I hail from Brooklyn NY and split our time between the city and the beautiful Catskills.

The firepit is shared if both sites are booked. We are located in the Rondout Valley nestled between the Catskill Mountains and the Shawangunk Mountains. Our property has great views, hiking trails, and a serene and babbling brook you can explore or lounge near with a good book! We are a short drive away from the towns of Ellenville and Kerhonkson as well as popular hiking and climbing areas in and around Minnewaska State Park. Campers will have access to the basement bathroom inside the house as needed. The Wright family are terrific hosts. The apple orchard is beautiful but they are much much more. The camping sites are cool and you have plenty room. Make sure to enjoy the beer and entertainment but whatever you do buy their apple cider donuts. They are spectacular.

Greta spot, exactly as described. Adjacent Nature trail was a nice surprise. Clean, with fire ring and picnic table. A fair price too. We were the first site on the right; the farthest flung has a bit more privacy, but the whole field is open so you’re in view regardless of which spot you pick.

We had a wonderful 2 nights at Mohonk Mountain View Farm. The mountain views were stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset. The campsite felt peaceful, private, and well cared for. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time outdoors. Everything about the stay felt easy and enjoyable, and the host made us feel welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape with beautiful scenery.

What a big, beautiful space to relax and enjoy. The weather was rough, but I still enjoyed myself with the numerous fire pits and seating to relax and unwind. There were goats, chickens, and ducks, and they were nice to hang out with. It was a wonderful time, and I'll definitely be back.

Robibero's vineyard was the perfect spot for us. Harry was a great host—helped us check-in later than planned, and he showed us where to get wood for a small fire. The outdoor bathrooms were still closed from the winter, so Harry allowed us access to his barn bathrooms, which were immaculate.
We had the whole field to ourselves mid-April. Such a treat. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table, and we picked the site by the trees. The entire field is very flat, with the exception of one hilly spot. The one by the trees had a slight slope going left, but that can be avoided with tent placement. We will absolutely be back! We loved it!

Loved our stay on Eric’s land. Beautiful, quiet spot with plenty of trails to explore all around. Close enough to amenities but far enough to feel like you’re somewhere special. The horse neighbors were very polite as well. We’d love to come back.

First time camping in an Rv! This has been the most beautiful experience the host are very sweet and super helpful! I feel like it’s heaven here! The horses are the sweetest horse I have ever met and the trails are gorgeous!

Land was as described. There is an RV hookup in front when you arrive and the plots of camping land behind the barn. The grass was fresh, and the fire pits were perfect. I stayed one night and it was alot of fun.

This is such a cute and cozy location. There are 4 camp sites and a B&B on the premises, along with a nice multi use trail. The host allows the use of a hose for water, but you must bring your own jug to fill up. Also, bring a toilet and portable shower if needed. Picnic table and fire ring provided and some scrap wood is available, I'd grab a couple bundles on the way there though. Best part was the rescue horses on site, our doggie Zoey loved them! Eric was very friendly and communicative as well. Don't forget to Leave it Better!!

Had a wonderful time at Wright’s farm! Tent sites were clean, well spaced, and in a beautiful part of the farm. The farm store is charming and well stocked, and Tammy the host was very responsive.
It would’ve been helpful to get a little guidance upon checking in at the farm store (mainly where the water source was). So make sure to ask for anything you might need before the store closes - there are stores/towns nearby in case you forget something.
Overall highly recommend and especially loved how spacious the sites were!

Great place….. it’s a little gem in the Hudson Valley. The property is gorgeous with great views. The brewery is a fun addition but does not interfere with peace and quiet. The farmers market is also great. My wife bought an emu egg which she made quiche from!

The edible forest and farm animals were great!! Amy gave me some farm fresh eggs to try…..mmm delicious!!! I just wish the nuts and berries were in season! I will Definitely have to come again!!

One of our favorite Hipcamps of all time! We were immersed in the horse farm environment. The owner, Ralph, is so nice and we learned so much! Felt so recharged even after a short stay.

Camped in my car for the night had a cute little fire with a beautiful view of the woods and horses! They made sure I could get back in the site before I showed up since it had snowed and the parking is in a field! Highly recommend had a great stay! Would definitely come back!

Came in on MetroNorth from NYC then took a pre-arranged taxi ($25 flat rate) to the campground. The campsite (#040) was private, but was located next to the Nature Center and a water spigot, so not a super quiet place. The site was littered with small pieces of trash and there was a folding chair someone had left. The site comes with a picnic table and a fire ring with removable grate, and a charcoal BBQ grill. Overall, the campsite was pleasant and it was peaceful during quiet hours (10pm-7am) on both Friday and Saturday nights. Removing one star for the lack of care at the site itself (litter, trash around when we arrived) and the poor firewood quality (hissing/smoking, didn't really catch). Bathroom/water facilities were clean and new.

It was a nightmare for us. People partying late and fights broke out. Not a nice relaxing back to nature place. There was human excrement at one of our sites although there was a restroom close by and the cops were called twice. We were awakened by a non-English speaking family who needed a ride to the highway at 4am because the man theyw ere with was drunk and threaten violence....

My girlfriend and I took a train from the city to Cold Spring. From there, we rode our bikes the rest of the nine miles to camp. It was a strenuous uphill climb with packs on, but not too bad. We got to the ranger station a bit late, but the two gentleman in the station were very accommodating and got us set up with a good spot at the back side of the camp site.
We passed quite a few sites with a large group of campers. I assume some of the camp sites could have been noisy for this reason, but ours had decent privacy and we spent the night very comfortably.
The only major downside was that there is currently no drinking water on site. You have to walk a 1/4 mile up the road to park headquarters to fill up.

So easy from the Metro North. This part of the world makes NYC feel a million miles away. Lake swimming perfect for this time of year, and the hiking round here has something for everyone - easy to difficult. Cooked some delicious dinner over the fire and hiked through Harriman State park.

As one of the closest campgrounds to New York City, it's pretty sweet. However, the noise from the Taconic Parkway is heard from almost all sites. Be selective in choosing your site as some are closer to neighbors than others (campsite #2 was a good deal!).
I really enjoy the location, as there are multiple hiking options (easy ones from the near the campground, slightly more challenging on the Appalachian Trail nearby, and a toughie of a scramble at Breakneck Ridge, a 10min drive away).

My fiance and I had a wonderful time here. We cooked our dinner on the fire, and the sites are easy access. But I have to admit that I was disappointed with the noise from the nearby roads outside of the park and the background noise from the adjacent Taconic Parkway. If I didn't hear cars at this campsite, I would keep coming back, but it defeats the purpose of camping when it's not perfectly quiet. My visit was in 2014.

When we stayed, we backpacked on the Metro North and had a cab drive us to the campground (cost about $20). There was NO drinking water from the pumps when we got there, so every day it was a hike to the ranger station for potable water. Hopefully resolved.
