Quiet place in the Catskills. Great place for wildlife viewing, Swimming and fishing in Green Lake and select locations and along the Kaaterskill Creek. Sites are located 15 minutes to Catskill Village, 20 minutes from City of Hudson, 25 minutes from Tannersville / Hunter and 30 minutes from Woodstock. There are short trails on our property for walking and miles of hiking trails in the Catskill Park. We have 2 sites. 1 for a tent and one site for a travel trailer less than 24' or a tent. Spaces not within view of each other. Full 7 Gallon water jug provided for washing up and rinsing dishes, no electric but I can top up your batteries for a small fee with my generator. Basically dry camping with fire ring and picnic table and water.

Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night.
We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking!
There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you!

We are conveniently located next to the NY Thruway exit 19 & 209 Highway yet super secluded and in nature’s paradise adjacent to the Sawkill River and across a large private Forrest. There is some road noise from Sawkill road & the Thruway dependent on the spot you choose to set up. If your’e tenting you can be in the woods way up in the forest, but most campers prefer our spot near the Sawkill River. I have fire pits, common outdoor furniture & a gasBBQ’s that can be used. There is chickens, bees & goats & 2 guardian life stocks dogs that live with the goats. I also have a small Terrier & a farm cat. A lot of outdoor activity with bird watching, bunnies, deer & the groundhogs say good night. It’s rural yet only 10 minutes to Kingston uptown and about 20 minutes to Woodstock. About 1 hr from Hunter & Windham Mountain resorts and 45 minutes to Belleayre Ski.
We also have a wood fired oven and offer pizza making classes as well as catered meals.

A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather.
Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound. Plenty of privacy with screens around the site.
Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more. Rainy days no problem explore one of our nations pieces of history, Vanderbilt mansion, Theodore Roosevelt home, Montgomery Place Mansion, Poets walk, Ferncliff forest, or Art Omi.

This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities!
The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you.

Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

SPACIOUS SKIES WOODLAND HILLS
is a family-friendly campground located in upstate New York amidst the Taconic and Berkshire mountain ranges, set between Albany and Pittsfield, MA, and only two hours north of New York City and two hours west of Boston, MA.
We offer both wooded and open sites that can accommodate any size trailer. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, water, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and many offer sewer. Groups and tent campers are welcome.
Woodland Hills campground is easily accessed from Interstate 90. The campground’s private pond offers swimming, fishing, and paddle boating. Come in for the classic camp atmosphere and our camp store carries many convenience items and treats. We have three Riverside Retro trailers to rent for campers who don’t have their own rigs but who also don’t want to tent overnight, as beautiful as our wooded tent sites are!

Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. If you find any cool artifacts they are yours to keep or just leave them and we will add them to the display for the new cabin. Check out the iconic ‘57 Chevy Bel Air halfway down the gorge. With your stay we are offering 20% off your cabin stay when it becomes available. 20 minutes to Windham, Minekill State Park and Bates State Forest(down the road.) The Milk Run is approximately 15 min away back toward the interstate. There is a dump station, gas station and they have great sandwiches for the ride home. So many great things to see, just ask. I do wish that the site photos were a little more specific to the site and was able to make out the differences a little but easier before booking, but the site we ended choosing was perfect.
The portapotty was close by and very clean
Definitely considering the same site again or even one of the bigger ones in the future (will be returning for the annual Sheep and Wool festival hopefully!)
or even coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the animals and property more.

I really enjoyed my stay in Catskill. The location is perfect for a quiet stay and James is a wonderful host providing fresh water and firewood for the campfire. As well as suggestions for attractions in the area. I woke up the 2nd morning to two deer grazing past my van window.
I highly recommend this Hipcamp for anyone looking for peace and quiet. I plan to stay here again in the future.

There are some lakeside sites with great views. Easy access to many hikes in the Catskills. Kaaterskill Falls is right next to the campground. Each site has a nice fire ring to cook over.

Peaceful and beautiful by the waterfall. My first time "glamping" as a life long tent camper and it was very relaxing, I felt almost pampered with the comfortable bed and the huge tent. It also rained but not enough to ruin a good time!

I love this campground! The location can't be beat. I have been coming to this park for decades and camping here more recently. Some sites are more private than others. The lake at the other end of the park is beautiful and there are nice hiking/walking trails all around it.
I have to say the whole park feels safer and looks like it is better maintained since the DEP took over (previously it was part of the State Parks system).

I am a local resident who walks and kayaks there. It is a stunningly beautiful area, BUT they trap the beavers and drown them! Beavers are sentient beings and also important to the eco system. We are on the brink of a 7th mass extinction and should be protecting wildlife, not killing it! There are ways to co-exist with beavers that allow them to build their dams without causing flooding in areas where it will bother humans. Please urge this park to install a humane "Beaver Deceiver" structure and stop the killing.

Nestled in the Catskill high peaks region of upstate New York is Woodland Valley Campground. A spacious family oriented campground facility with great amenities and beautiful natural features. I stayed at the campground on the final weekend of the season in late autumn. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to score a spot on this packed beautiful weather weekend. Our site was right alongside the Woodland Creek, which weaves its way through the grounds. We rested that night to the calming sounds of the adjacent rushing water. Also, abundant in the area is the many beautiful wildflowers and of course wildlife who may stop by your campsite and say hello.
The campground is well maintained, and has complete running water bathroom facilities,

Camped at Kenneth Wilson last summer with friends and family. Aside from having great amenities, the campground also has a nice mix of natural features such as forest, streams, and some wildlife. Our campsite was perched at a high point in the woods which gave us a slight overlook of the sites below. With a large area and fire pit the four of us had plenty of space and open sky above. Will certainly visit again.

Just got back from Mongaup State Campground (MC) and wanted to post my review of our first time visit, two-night, four-family, (10 people) two separate site, Labor Day stay. The park rangers and staff were very friendly and helpful and the groundkeepers keep the grounds impeccably clean and well-manicured, even after a busy holiday weekend. There are M/F flush bathrooms conveniently located about 100 yards from most of the campsites along with access to clean outdoor water faucets. You are discouraged from washing your dishes at your individual campsites, instead there is a very large stainless steel industrial, two basin restaurant style sink with H/C water that you can haul all your dirty dishes to, just remember to bring your own sponge.

If i could rate this place less than 1 star i would, i would never recommend this place to anyone. I drove 3 hours from long island because the reviews and the photos i had seen. Showed up at 12:15 and left by 1:45 and rather drive for another 3 hours then stay there for the night. I have been to campgrounds all over the states and i have never been so disgusted with how the sites look. The site i picked was so small and the trees were so over grown everywhere, which made it so hard to enjoy because your constantly ducking branches. I only came with one other and myself and i felt the camp site was way to small, how could i ever have brought more friends. I'm not one to write a negative review but i wish i read this from someone else before

The campsites are large and private, sounded by trees and bushes. Each campsite has it's own grill pit and picnic table. The bathrooms aren't updated but satisfactory. Great location, close to the town of Phoenicia and Peekamoose Blue Hole.

This is a highly populated campground. If you're the type of person who likes to be around people, this campground is for you. There was a nice fly fishing stream behind the campground.

I solo camped here when I got a few days off work last minute. The ranger helped me pick a site that was more private where I was able to set up my hammock and camp and then spend my days exploring the Catskills. Pro-tip: skip the forums and ask the locals for their favorite swimming holes, but keep quiet about them so they stay pristine! Also, don't leave without having breakfast at Phoenicia Diner. You won't regret it!

Has a lot of convenient amenities that make it an attractive site for families and casual hikers. If you're looking for a more, deep in the woods secluded camping experience, this would not be the ideal campground.
The sites are right off the campground roads and don't have any seclusion, you can see everyone's tent pretty clearly and your own with the cars parked up to the tents. All the sites are close together but far enough that you have a little bit of privacy. Bathrooms are well kept and super convenient though - there are hot showers and a dish washing station by the recycling and garbage dropoff.
Grill & picnic table is provided, and lots of trails nearby. Phoenicia & Woodstock, which are very close are worth checking out.

Beautiful site and not too far from the city!
Camped here in the middle of the week. The grounds were very quiet and most spots had a lot of privacy. We hiked to Wittenberg - a ~4 mile trail each way with a beautiful view of the Catskills at the top. The hike is well worth it, especially considering the trail head is at the campground, but is med-adv as far as difficulty goes. The second half has some scrambling. This is bear country so they are very serious about their food policy. Dish washing areas are open 24 hours, though.
The local town of Phoenicia is adorable - lots of restaurants and a grocery store. Phoenicia Diner is a good stop for a fancy breakfast if you pass by it on your way in or out.

Sites are clean and while not exactly private, everyone near us was nice enough so it wasn't an issue. Close to a bunch of trail heads.
Park staff was super friendly and helpful. You can buy cheaper firewood and kindling in a store on the main drag in Phoenicia.
We camped alongside a shallow stream that runs through the site (site 18) which led to a buggy situation. Would definitely come back, but not to the same site.

One of my favorite campgrounds in the area. Yes, there are 100+ sites but the location is well worth it, as are the hot showers. Pick loop 7 to be further away from the crowds. I try to camp here every year during fall foliage, and the colors are just fantastic. Not to mention the number of hikes one can do directly from the campground.
The towns of Hunter and Tannersville are close by for some fine dining and non-hiking entertainment. You can also take a ski lift to the top of Hunter Mountain or try their zipline. Opus 40 is another neat nearby attraction, as is the Hudson River School of Art Trail. Landscapes painted by Thomas Cole were inspired by locations right around the corner from the campground.

Great campground in the heart of the Catskills (no showers though).
Several hiking options right out of the campsite (including 14mi Cornell/Wittenberg/Slide loop, or the more tame Giant Ledge (~3mi) which is a great spot for sunsets / sunrises). Also a short driving distance from the town of Phoenicia in case you want to pop out for dinner or some local nightlife.

Didn't realize how close the campsites were to one another. Wasn't too bug of an issue though, everyone quieted down after 10pm .
Car parking right next to site, so you can bring as much stuff as you want. Rangers very nice and helpful, but very strict on the no food outside of your car policy. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit, and there is a bathroom in the campgrounds.
The campground is at the foot of the several trails. We hiked up to Giants Ledge, for a shorter day hike.

What a great gem hidden away. Plenty of hiking trails, a nice pond for fishing or boating. The trails are amazing and hardly used. Sites are clean and far enough apart that you're not right on top of each other. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot. There is even a sink outside for washing your dishes.
The ranger Seth was super cool. He gave me tips about trails and was really helpful. He was soaking wet because he was caught in the rain helping two girls make a fire and set up the tarp he loaned them.
I was one of two sites reserved so it was like I had the place to myself.
