The majestic Schoharie Valley! Conveniently located just 4 miles off of interstate 88 open all year round. Located closely, 1/2 mile to the award winning New York State brewary of the year, Wayward Lane Brewary. The brewary offers live music and events often. Middleburgh Winery 10 minutes away. Sablewood wedding venue 4 minutes away. Lasalle Park is also a short walk. kayaking on Schoharie Creek with rentals available only 1 mile away. Howe Caverns and Secret Caverns 15 minutes away. On the snowmobile trail. For history buffs walk to the historical Palantine house or Old Stone Fort. The property has a house on the far end of the 7 acres but that is the only house you will see. The camper site itself is on flat level surface of packed sturdy number 2 stone. It is next to our storage barn where you will have access to an outdoor electrical outlet. If you face your camper away from the storage barn you will only see the field and woods. Our location is known for underground caves.For RVs level packed stone site. Electric hook up. Lots of space for easy pull through and set up. Walk through fields to Wayward brewary, winner of New York State brewary of the year which is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Live bands and events are held there throught the year. Or you can hike to Lasalle park which overlooks the Schoharie Valley. Sweeping views of farmland, forest, and rolling hills, from your site. Schoharie Valley kayak rentals are only 1.5 miles away. Howe and Secret Caverns 10 miles away. The Village of Middleburgh with the popular Vromans Nose hike 10 minutes away.

We loved our stay! Nice level surface to park the RV. Road is not busy at all, hours go by without any cars passing. The field and trails through the woods were super fun to explore and our dogs loved it. Site feels peaceful, private, safe. Hope to be back again!

Perfect overnight stop! Great directions, easy pull through parking and set-up. Quiet peaceful country setting. Nice little campfire area with reclining chairs. Walked down to Lasalle Park ~ good stretch of the legs with pup!

Nice flat spot, easy to back in to . The trails in the woods were a welcoming walk after a long day in the truck. Quiet, safe , beautiful place for the night.

Right next to town and very easy to park at. Electrical hookup was very convenient. Space felt private. Road nearby is not very busy.

The site was easy to find, and level and easy to park in. It was nice to have hookups to run the AC. Although we didn't use it, the firepit with chairs was a nice touch.

Respit for weary travelers

Nice convenience just off of the interstate. We were doing long stretches of driving to reach Acadia, and this fit the bill for us. Unfortunately the nearby brewery wasn’t open or we would’ve stopped in for a cold one, but the view from the firepit was nice, complete with a hawk who kept our eyes & ears interested. This is a pretty level camping area adjacent to a garage & container, no frills but a lovely view, convenience, and really great hosts!

Way-Ward Trail
Randy and Jenna are the most welcoming hosts! We were their very first Hipcampers and absolutely loved how easy and simple their site was to settle into. There’s a bit of work ahead for Randy, but it’s already shaping up to be a quiet little hideaway with beautiful mountain views and plenty of hiking through the woods. We’re excited to come back in the fall and explore more of the area!
