Overall, we made the best of the place and had a good time but we would not recommend it or stay again.
1). Listing includes two cabins, two camp sites and hammocks. There was only 1 cabin. Second cabin was gutted. This means that half of our party had to go stay at a hotel! We booked it for 4 adults and it was confirmed. N o one reached out to give us a heads up or make sure that we still wanted it.
2). The host was non-responsive. We stayed for two nights. I sent a message to him early in the morning of the second day and never received a response back.
3). It is right next to a busy road (like 5 feet away). Cars go flying by day and NIGHT (all night!). When I say they are fast they are fast! So you were constantly woken up by loud cars and trucks. On top of that we couldnt relax when we were outside due to worrying about the kids or the dog getting too close to the road.
4). Internet kept going out the first night. Second day and night it went out and never came back on. Don't judge us, we were glamping not camping.
5). The room was dirty. There was hair and dirt in the fridge.
6). In the outhouse, there was a bag left on the door that was NASTY, looked like it was full of feces.
7). The grills were NASTY! Looked like had never been clean. Smelled so bad!

We loved the property it’s beautiful the only downside was the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest but for the price it’s definitely worth it! But when it rains the drive way and stone out front gets flooded quickly

This is more a glamping experience. The cabin is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Appreciated the heat and AC. Outhouse available and it was fine. If you bring your own water, there is also a shower. It would be nice if it were not directly attached to the outhouse, which made it rather unpleasant. We did use the water pump that worked well to heat water and provide a quick rinse. Loved the outdoor lights and fire pit area. Several places locally to purchase firewood. Several propane grills too. Recommend bringing something to clean them or foil to cover them if you plan to use them.

This is a lovely property! We arrived at night, but it was so easy to find this site because it was adorned with warm, glowing lights strung up all over. The cabin was very cozy and smelled of pine. It also featured a giant TV, which was great! The site itself has a lot of amenities, such as grills, hammocks, a fire pit, swings, and starlink.

The cabins were extremely nice. The further up cabin did not have power and they are in the process of setting it up. Great for privacy and great to be in Amish Country for the first time.

We showed up and the lower living space was clean and tidy. The space can hold three people. Two on the bed and one on the fold out couch.
The upper living space was in the middle of renovations and no one told us ahead of time. The loft was covered in dust due to the wall being opened up. It looks to host 1 person comfortably or 2 people snugly.
Other stuff: Shower reservoir is filled by you. Bring all the pots and pans you need. No side burners on grills. Light doesn’t work in the bathroom so bring a headlamp.
Overall: Good for what it is at $50 a night but wouldn’t stay there again nor recommend to friends/family.

Arrived later Friday evening to a well lit site and warm cabin. We were warned that the site is undergoing renovations, so top cabin wasn't ready for use. Bottom cabin was set up for the perfect quick get away. Plan to bring wood unless if it hasn't rained in the area recently, otherwise there is more than enough to collect on site. Just bring something to cut it up.
Recommend 5 gallon jug to hook up to water dispenser. As well as extra water for rinsing. Rain barrel was empty and needs work, but we were fine without it for our weekend stay. Commode is basic, early March wasn't bad with smell. We brought our dog who loved the freedom of being off leash. Site is on road, with fast drivers, but we didn't mind watching them wiz by on our second night by the fire. Went to eat at the Country Line Restaurant, it was crowded and waitresses didn't seem to want to wait on us, so we went across the street to the Old Mill Coffee House and got great omlettes.
Great spot for groups, family or a couple. Woodsy feel with a great sky view across the street in the corn field. We are already planning to have a return trip in the fall with family. Check on propane situation. None there this weekend, but we weren't planning on any cooking anyway.

This site was just what we wanted - rustic but close enough to stores for a quick run for supplies. Hammocks everywhere! The upper cabin requires a walk up a very steep hill. We were also able to drive up with our sedan, but it would be better to have a 4wd vehicle.
The road out front was busier than we expected, and in front is the only location for a fire, but that was ok. Fun to wave at the neighbors going by. When sitting at the fire looking across the road at night, the view of the stars over the cornfield is fabulous. We saw an enormous fire ball! Most spectacular shooting star I’ve ever seen.
We had a few questions and requests while we were there, and Nathanael was helpful and responsive. He mentioned that they’re going to make some improvements to the property and we’re looking forward to returning.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The loft mattresses are comfortable, good Wi-Fi with a smart TV. AC was so nice to available tooZ It’s a nice spot to get away while still having some modern amenities. Awesome!

This was a really fun and relaxing rustic cabin experience! It was so beautiful and peaceful on Nathanael’s land.
The surrounding areas are gorgeous farmland and also had nice hiking areas, creameries, and antiquing.
There was a gas grill with propane provided and a few nice hammocks around. There’s also a little swing set and slides for kiddos! The pavilions are nice if the weather gets rainy.
The cabins were clean, nice, and well furnished. The lower cabin had electricity and a very comfy couch. It was equipped with microwave, coffee maker, dehumidifier, ceiling fan, WiFi, and big TV.
The upper cabin had a battery pack that worked for a lamp and a fan. It also had a futon and a really comfy bean bag chair. The deck is so nice and I did my morning yoga there in the wooded scenery!
The ladders at both cabins weren’t sturdy enough for us larger bodied middle aged folks to climb up to the loft beds so we would up staying g in the futon. There’s definitely room for air mattresses though!
If you don’t have all wheel drive, I don’t recommend trying to drive up the gravel road to the upper cabin! My little car couldn’t make it.
The outdoor shower is from a rain barrel w some chlorination.
Nathanael was very responsive via text.
I would definitely stay here again (with my air mattress)!

We would recommend this site most definitely. The lower cabin is really nice, has a fridge, microwave, croc pot, tv for rainy days with internet. The property has two big pavilions, fire pit, hammocks and a gas grill. If you enjoy your coffee the old mill coffee house is very good and the county line diner is highly recommended. The warehouse in richfeild is nice to walk around if you like antiques and odds and ends. Plenty of land to explore and walk. We went to the upper cabin just to check it out and it is very nice also.

Very nice property. It is right next to the road but the traffic isn’t too bad. The outside garbage was full when we got there and there was some ripped trash near the stage area as well. It would have also been nice to know how to get the electricity to work in the second cabin but everything else was fine.

Nathanael was very responsive and the cabins and area were cozy and clean. It was raining during our entire stay and was lovely to be able to hang out outside under the awnings and enjoy the countryside. Will gladly be back.🌿

First I'd like to thank Nathaniel for being such a great host and keeping communication pretty quick (even though he was on vacation himself)... I enjoy getting away and camping and it has become tradition to go camping on Mother Earth's Day weekend, for this year I wanted to bring my cat but a tent in the woods seemed like too much at once so I wanted a cozy cabin to get him used to the environment... the grove was def IT! My cat and I loved it. We stayed on the main cabin which had the fridge and all our snacks [lol] but we did enjoy a day out of the 4 hanging out at the upper cabin grilling and enjoying the day. There's a Dollar General about 8min from the cabin that has everything (except meats of course) and the workers are super nice. I didn't get to make s'mores on a bonfire because I was lazy to make the fire 😂 but I enjoyed my morning coffee/tea welcoming the sun every morning sitting by the fire pit, no doubt the positioning of it was thought out, beautiful sunrise and landscape from it. I didn't get to see the sunsets because I was waking up on my regular schedule (2am) so I would be all snuggled in the warmth of the cabin before the sun would set... but the comfiness and coziness were worth it. I do plan on going back and bringing my fam... I want to go back to do all I didn't get to for being my lazy weekend away... I already miss the turkeys and roosters singing in the mornings 🥰

The cabins were great, my girlfriend and I spent my 30th birthday here, and as a usual tent camper, my back appreciated the well furnished cabins. Very secluded, we kept calling it 10 minutes outside the middle of nowhere. We will definitely be back!

What a spectacular space! The Grove is the perfect place for a group to go and unwind. A space that is so quiet at night is filled with a symphony of birds during the day (and a cow moo or two haha). With two cabins, a pavilion, and back country campsites you have severals options for sleeping. The wifi worked well and we were able to cuddle up and watch a movie as the rain hit the tin roof. Bring your picnic and grilling supplies because you will want to eat every meal outside! We especially loved the colored lighting at night - which comes with a remote to change the colors.

We loved our overnight stay - the hills and fields light up beautifully as the sun sets and we appreciate Nathanael's nightlights around the property. The horse and buggies are rare but a fine sight if you catch them riding by the camp. Had everything we needed at this quiet place with a fine history if you get to hear it! Worth visiting on this road less traveled.

We loved it here. It was warm and ready to go upon arrival. It was easy to start a quick fire in the pit out front. Looks exactly like the pictures but, the outside could use a little TLC. They used a puffy caulk to seal holes, and it worked, but its not appealing to the eye. The loft where the bed hides is so cute... But, VERY tight. I fit up there fine until I couldn't breathe. Needs a tiny window or some kind of ventilation up there. Very cool, I'll be going back. Love the cows across the hills. Love the property and how much of it there is. Thanks for the stay!

The Grove was a great place for the two of us to rest after a week tent camping in high altitudes and wind. We enjoyed a steep but otherwise easy hike up the trail, cooking outside enjoying the space, watching Netflix and sleeping in.

I Loved this place! I was quiet and peaceful and the snow made it all the more better! The firepit was nice to just sit next to the fire and relax. They even provided some wood! I would come back to The Grove in a heartbeat!!
