All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters. Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay. The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area. Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here. I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way. Wildlife love it here, I think you will too.

The full bags are then tied and disposed of in a larger outdoor trash can just outside. Use the fire pit just outside the hut for grilling or use the gas grill with burner that faces the creek. Basic kitchen supplies are provided (please refer to pictures for details). There is also a picnic bench facing the creek. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and enjoy eating on the moss covered boulders next to the water, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or take a swim in the swimming hole. Enjoy privacy while in the hut, or join us on our morning chores (we live in a house on the property), by feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get to the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes. Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly and others for a day trip too! Experience a bit of history while staying in the Shepherd's Hut. The houses, grist mill and bank barn were built with sandstone brought to the property by wagonloads in the 1770's. Just think! This homestead was built before the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Revolutionary War began! Stay in or explore the 40 acres of property consisting of woodlands, creek and farmland. Basic kitchen supplies are provided (please refer to pictures for details). There is also a picnic bench facing the creek. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and enjoy eating on the moss covered boulders next to the water, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or take a swim in the swimming hole. Enjoy privacy while in the hut, or join us on our morning chores (we live in a house on the property), by feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get to the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes. Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly and others for a day trip too! Experience a bit of history while staying in the Shepherd's Hut. The houses, grist mill and bank barn were built with sandstone brought to the property by wagonloads in the 1770's. Just think! This homestead was built before the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Revolutionary War began! Stay in or explore the 40 acres of property consisting of woodlands, creek and farmland. The grist mill and other buildings require host to accompany guests in order to enter and we are happy to give you a tour!

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

I love spending time at Craig's property. This was my second visit and somehow it was better than the first trip which was amazing. We weren't able to paddle bc the creek was down, and it wasn't impactful to our fun at all. Just book it! And if you can check out the nearby dirt race track BAPS, fun for kids and adults alike.

We had a lovely fall weekend glamping on Gini’s land. The site is beautiful and well maintained and the tent is very comfortable and filled with everything you could want even for cold weather camping. Gini’s hospitality was also exceptional (going out of their way to provide extra blankets and hot water bottles to one of our party who camped in a tent), and the land is perfect to walk through. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom safely. Will definitely be back!

Fire pit and cooking grate worked well for me. Karen also makes a wonderful breakfast at the B&B which campers can opt into. Next time I’m headed up that way, I hope to try out the B&B for a night.
