The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.
The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras *
We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.
Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. Work-stay exchange programs are available. We are always looking for good reliable part-time help on the farm! Please ask!

Maple Grove farm is a twenty acre preserved livestock and hay farm in Harford County Maryland. It is home to sheep, alpaca, an old horse, chickens , dogs, and a cat or two.
The world headquarters for Remsberg Inc Photo Studios is in the older farmhouse on the property and we lead photo safaris and workshops in Africa and England through the year.
Our crack team of Border Collies are here to assist you with all your outdoor activity needs from frisbee tossing to ball throwing. Gather around the fire under the stars and listen to the sounds of sheep doing whatever it is sheep do with one of our loaner dogs at your feet and horses grazing in the sunset on the hill.
We are only three miles from W42 (Fallston Airport) if you are flying in. Nearby there are hiking trails and a swimming hole at Gunpowder Falls State Park one mile away. Boordy Vinyards down the road has a farmers market Thursdays and wine tastings other days or get homemade ice cream at Prigel Creamery just past it. Take your canoe up to Eden Mill or Bike on the Ma & Pa and NCR trails nearby.

We are also conveniently located 10 minutes from I-81, a major North/South interstate and 10 minutes from Rt 30.
While we don't allow hiking on the property Rt 30 takes you into Micheaux Forest, the Appalachian Trail and Caledonia State Park within 15 min and the historic Gettysburg National Park within 35.
White Tail Ski Resort is 40 minutes South and Ski Liberty is 40 miles East.

About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

You can hike, bike, climb, and swim at 2 or more of these locations.
Tucked Away Acres is just that, we are tucked away behind other houses. The property backs up to power lines where deer can be seen often. We offer a large fire pit, horse shoe pit, small playground, trampoline, swings, and a small zip line over the creek in the woods. Horseback riding is available on certain weekends only (weight limit of 180 lbs) for an extra charge. Type of riding depends on skill level, leadline to guided trail ride. Welcome to our cabin on the banks of the Schuylkill River!
Bring your kayaks or tubes for a relaxing float down the river! For hikers and bikers, we offer direct access to the Schuylkill River Trail and are only a few miles from French Creek State Park. The cabin sits on the back corner of our horse farm, right along the riverbank.
If you’re a horse lover, we can provide hay, feed, and a paddock with a run-in shed — or even a stall if you prefer. The surrounding area offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventure, or you can simply relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. Read a book beside the river, or sit with friends around the campfire and unwind.

The water from the hydrant is filtered and safe to drink.

My husband and I brought our two dogs for a two nights and we had the best time!! It was the perfect balance of an outdoor/camping experience mixed with a homey and cozy feeling (plus a real bed!)! It felt private but with the comfort of knowing you're not totally alone out in the woods! We spent our days walking the property, building campfires and exploring trails that they had listed in their guidebook! You can really feel the love and care that Gini and Kelly put into the site and their property, plus they are so lovely! They makes the experience that much better. We also added on the family photoshoot with Gini, which was a blast and the pictures came out so great!

Amazing as always. My son and I love coming here. From the beautiful open space and solitude (we rarely see other people but when we do meet other campers, they are always nice), to the amazing night skies and the bathroom and running water- you can’t beat this place. I stayed at Conewago Glamp and Paddle this weekend with my three youngest grandkids (9, 8, and 5). It was a wet, chilly weekend, but that didn't dampen our spirits or prevent us from having a great time. Craig is an awesome host and his place is amazing. The bedroom was cozy, comfortable, and had some wonderful little touches. The two night lights were really unique and special and threw a cozy, warm light. The bed which was super comfy was flanked on both sides by custom built in shelves that served as tables; great for cell phone, water bottles, etc. on top and room underneath to stow gear and backpacks. The outdoor kitchen was incredible~equipped with a great little refrigerator and freezer which were stocked with fresh water and ice. The Blackstone gas fired griddle was awesome. My grandson cooked bacon for breakfast and hot dogs for lunch on it. The girls made blueberry, chocolate chip, raspberry, raspberry chocolate chips pancakes for breakfast which were delicious. There is also an induction. Hot plate whuch proved very versatile. We made chicken noodle soup feom scratch, Mac and cheese, hot tea and hot cocoa. The kids having experienced a "camp toilet" in our last trip were super impressed with the very clean and well appointed bathroom which had a separate outdoor shower. These were flanked by a separate Norwegian steam spa whuch was charming as well. A highlight was making our own pizza that we cooked in the Peruvian clay oven. Highly recommend.

Bill and Erin’s Cherokee site was wonderful! The campsite was private, incredibly spacious, and had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. It is just a short walk to the amenities, including flush toilets, a water spigot, and the convenience rack to purchase firewood and eggs. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back again!

Camped 2 nights for my birthday (our first HipCamp stay!) and it was such an amazing treat. My only wish was that it was longer! Site was packed with everything that we needed from bug spray and kindling, to pots and pans and cutlery to bandaids and flashlights! My kids loved the creek, the chickens, dogs and the tree house. We slept soundly in both the tent and the treehouse and stayed perfectly dry when it rained overnight. Gini and Kelly were the perfect hosts, so attentive when we reached out but otherwise let us enjoy the space. We enjoyed a fundraiser event at a local winery only 5 minutes away while we were there too! Cant wait to stay with them again! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing experience!!! Gini and Kelly are kind, welcoming, helpful, and supportive. The site is set up with everything you could want or need. The land is beautiful. My dog had a blast playing with their dogs. My friends and son literally did not want to leave. It was truly such a supportive place and experience. I highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!!

The A-frames were clean, no visible sign of bugs or spiders. But that view! Oh my that view was beautiful. Michael wasn't there but made sure to send a text to check in on us. This was our 2nd time staying here. Ribeye is the best host that we’ve encountered on Hipcamp. He took us upstream for a canoe trip paddling back to the house, showed us his amazing shop and hung out for a few drinks. The woodpile is always stacked and the dishes are cleaned each day. The outdoor kitchen is amazing, especially the blackstone and pizza oven. We’ll definitely be back!

Just spent the weekend here - my son and his GF were in the large tent, and my daughter and I were in the treehouse. Everyone has already said what is true - the attention to detail to make guests feel welcome and comfortable is above and beyond. We only brought a cooler with food and never left the area all weekend - had amazing steaks using the charcoal grill (charcoal provided!), yummy breakfast using the propane stove, even good coffee! The walking paths are covered with grass or moss, so even though it rained the week before, it was not muddy! The creek is the perfect creek, with some parts shallow and some deep. I may have spent a couple of hours on the hammock listening to the creek sounds. Thank you for sharing this special place with us; we will be back because it is only 90 minutes away!!!
