Karen's campsite offers a cozy and convenient escape, blending the simplicity of cabin life with a touch of rustic charm. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, enhanced by natural sounds like bird songs and the gentle patter of rain on the cabin roof. While some mention minor discomforts like proximity to road noise or unexpected encounters, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards a positive and family-friendly experience. Despite the occasional chill, extra blankets and a warm, accommodating host make stays comfortable and memorable.

We had a wonderful night sleep could’ve done without the German Shepherd in the cabin next-door though thank you so much for everything

Karen's place was a step up from camping when I was a child. We had wildlife walk up to the campsite. Karen and her crew were helpful and nice with any issues we had. It was my girlfriend first time camping and she enjoyed it. The only downside of our trip was the weather but even that we made do watching it from inside the cabin.
It's always a joy staying in these cabinettes. It was raining, so we heard the patter of rain and were nice and cozy and dry inside. Chilly but Karen left us extra blankets so we were never cold. Much appreciated.

Overall it was a good experience. I was a little taken aback by some guy in the woods having a fire , made me a little uncomfortable since I was all by myself, other than that my dogs and I really enjoyed our time for a short time stay .

Beautiful setting with firepit and ready-to-burn wood included. Lots of bird sounds and sightings. Cabin was simple and cozy. Heat source recommended for cooler nights.
This place was a perfect weekend getaway with my dog. Very peaceful and it rained but the clear roof made it nice and peaceful.

The small cabin I stayed at was very nice and simple. I loved bird song in the mornings and transparent side of the roof. The site is secluded and easy to find at the same time. There was a plenty of fire wood outside and blankets inside so nights in thirties were quite manageable and even enjoyable. And don’t miss the opportunity to get breakfast if it gets offered to you, it was outstanding experience for small additional fee.
My husband and I always do rustic tent camping, but I’m 22 weeks pregnant so was looking for something in between. I felt like this place was what we were looking for!
PROS: Private site, weather proof cabin, bed, firewood comes with the site, and the $10 breakfast that is available is AMAZING.
CONS: Can slightly hear noise from the highway/road (some moments louder than others.) We are use to being deep in the woods when camping, so I think that’s why it was a con for us.

A great place to experience camping with the ease and convenience of four walls and a roof! The cabin was small and cozy and a great way to get away from the city for a quick night outdoors
Park the car and walk down the path past the chickens and vegetable gardens to your private cabin hidden by trees. No heat or electricity but a very comfortable queen sized bed with extra comforters and pillows.

Loved it! It was a great getaway cold, but with the fire and the sunset and the quietness of nature, it was a beautiful time
We had a wonderful two-night stay at Paix Cabinette with Host Karen. I visited with my daughter, and from the start, Karen was incredibly communicative. She responded quickly to all my questions and was very accommodating when I needed to adjust our dates, which I really appreciated.
The site itself was peaceful and well laid out. Even in early spring, before everything had fully grown in, we still felt a great sense of privacy. The cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. There was plenty of firewood provided. Also, there was a picnic table and chairs for around the fire.
Every night we could hear owls nearby, which was such a cool experience and made the stay feel even more connected to nature. Access to the cabin and the bathroom in the main house was convenient, just a short walk away, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. It made the experience comfortable while still feeling like a true getaway.
My daughter absolutely loved the trip and has already been asking when we can come back, which says everything. The space felt very safe and family-friendly, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling with small children. I also appreciated that the cabin locks. It added a nice sense of security. I had seen some comments about the bed being short, but at 5'6", I had no issues at all.
Overall, this was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!
We had a really great time.. it was really cold and wet but we came prepared and it was a blast 😊.

We loved staying in the solace cabin. It was quiet and the entire farm was beautiful. Our son ran around in the woods and we made soup over the fire, we’ll definitely be back in the warmer months 😊

We had a very nice time. It was perfect for what we were looking for. The staff was great. The surrounds were beautiful. We saw wild life up close. Strongly recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing get away.
I rented the tiny cabin for 2 nights, and while it’s a lovely off-grid setup exactly as described, the temperatures dropped extremely low during my stay. Because the cabin has no heat, electricity, or running water, it wasn’t feasible to stay there in that kind of cold.
The host was gracious and immediately helped us pivot to a room at her bed-and-breakfast on the same property so we could remain safe and comfortable. Although we didn’t get to stay in the cabin itself, the property is stunning — wide open views, peaceful surroundings, and a true escape from the city.
I’m very grateful for the host’s quick help and hospitality. I’d absolutely return in better weather to enjoy the cabin properly.

Lovely host. We ended up staying here because our campground got canceled. We were prepared to camp so we enjoyed the fire pit. It was a very cold stay due to weather, but it was very nice getting to have a proper BnB breakfast.
I stopped at Karen’s cabin as a place to sleep on a road trip, and it was lovely! Not too far off highway, the cabin felt secluded yet safe, and the property was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!
Very responsive. Clear communication. Really cool cabin and camping grounds. Cabin overhang was clutch when it drizzled.

A cute short walk away that makes you feel like you are in a wooded area but close enough that it is easy to bring all you need from the car! Loved it! Cabin was cute and very nice

This place is healing. Great for getting a good recharge every now and then. They offer breakfast at the cabin that is really good. I felt relax here.
I loved the little cabinette because it lets so much light in. It was a great place to stash my stuff too. It’s a beautiful location and convenient setup, not far from civilization. Fire pit and cooking grate worked well for me. Karen also makes a wonderful breakfast at the B&B which campers can opt into. Next time I’m headed up that way, I hope to try out the B&B for a night.
Loved the place! The location was perfect, so charming, and the owner is so nice. It was nice hearing the rain on the roof. Comfortable bed. Beautiful place! Will definitely return!

This was a fine little spot! I simply overnighted on a road trip and it was just what I needed. Easy to find, pretty secluded, & Karen was a clear communicator. I was able to hear some street noise in town in the distance (though I'm a country bumpkin who is really sensitive to street noise! & this probably wouldn't bother most). Appreciated knowing that amenities (running water, breakfast) were nearby in the B&B.
Nice little spot, would recommend for cooler weather because it gets a little warm inside the cabin. No electricity so its like camping without the tent which is good for me..
I've been staying here off and on throughout the summer for work and it's still a place I'd come back to. The bed is comfortable, the mosquitos have simmered down, the birds are cheerful in the morning, and there is a barred owl that greets the evening with a few hoots. I love having a safe place I can lock my belongings while I'm out and about over the course of my stay.
