Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.
Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. Nice spot, fun drive up to the site, would recommend a 4x4 vehicle, definitely helpful. Our two dogs loved exploring, site is secluded which is awesome. You can hear some traffic from the road below from time to time and we also heard some gun shots during the day, probably from the range close by, we come from a similar area so it didn’t bother us much. It was a great chill spot during the day and the sky at night was beautiful. Overall a great spot! Thanks for sharing it Matt!

Staying at camp Douglass is always such a joy. It’s absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and we have been back more than a few times. We even got engaged there! I suggest it to anyone who even mentions camping, and we even got engaged there. Do yourself the favor!

This was our second time at Camp Douglass. My best friend and I loved it so much the first trip, we couldn’t wait to bring the kids! Shane works hard on this property, and it shows. There were upgrades even since May when we were there. We booked a weekend already for next summer. We will come prepared with floats for the river. This trip the kids and dogs were able to walk over to the island and down the river. We had coffee with a beautiful view every morning. My friend and I agree, we’ve found one of our happy places!

We loved every minute of camping at Camp Douglass! The view out over the river is amazing and the water near the shore is shallow and perfect for kids to play in. The campsite itself is flat and clean with a perfect spot for a hammock and there is a shed full of firewood nearby. Although the train didn’t bother us during the day it continued over night and was not overly loud but might not be great for light sleepers. The gravel road to get to the campsite was manageable for our Honda pilot and would be an easy walk if using the parking area. Over all it was great and we will definitely be back.

We loved Nevin’s slice of paradise. It was my favorite Hipcamp spot so far after 5 trips total. Nevin met with us before and gave us a great map, which shows the half mile drive up the property to the wooded area.
There is a picnic table, fire pit with grilling grate, and plenty of firewood. Super flat campsites, and a huge pond with boat. We caught 20+ fish in 24 hours, lots of healthy 7inch sunfish and 12inch largemouth bass. Great stars at night, and not many people/houses nearby. We would definitely come back!

Site was well maintained and clean. Check in insteuctions were clear. Nice spot right along the river, plenty of space and felt secluded. You can tell the property owner has spent time making the site nice. Included firewood was a huge bonus. Train runs through regularly fairly close but didnt bother us. Would return again.

Great time camping! The check in was smooth and the host was accessible to help locate the camp (it IS secluded so best to use the guidebook for reference photos). The train was a bit distracting at times, but we anticipated it from the initial description (no worries it tends to stop at night). Wood is available to build a fire and the porta potty was close. Lots of space and picnic tables to spread out if you’re in a group too. I do wish there was an easier access to the river directly from the campsite, but overall the stay was fun!

Booked two nights with my dog and ended up staying three! The site sits on a small hill with great views of the farm and surrounding area. Even though it’s between the other two sites, it felt private — I barely noticed the other campers. The platform fit my Gazelle T3 tent perfectly, with room for a chair and dog bed.
Loved walking the farm trails with my dog, and the location is super convenient — only six minutes to Bloomsburg’s Main Street (coffee at Martha’s, tacos at Forth Taco, and Endless for books/records). Nearby hikes include the shaded Hess Trail Loop and the Railroad Trail in town, but also walking along the path next to the water in town has amazing views. I even stopped at Mays which is a few mintues from the farm and ate out back while my dog walked around the huge lawn.
All three sites are nice, but the view here really stood out. The hosts were friendly and unobtrusive, and while you’ll hear some farm noise since it’s a working farm, the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. I got to sit and read by the fire for hours each day. Saw a bunch of hawks and it was really cool how there ar birdhouses all along the fencing of the property. Hope to be back again soon to explore the area more!

Beautiful property! One of the best camping spots we've found! Very quiet and secluded but just a short trip to town if need be. The kids had so much fun being able to play near the pond the entire time and going out on the boat. No luck with fishing but it was still fun trying. Host was very friendly and responded quickly.

This was definitely one of our top favorite Hipcamps, and we only wish we’d had more time here! We really appreciated the helpful site information provided after booking, as well as the clearly marked location and detailed instructions when we arrived—it made everything so easy. The seasoned, dry firewood was such an over-the-top amenity for road-trip camping—what a thoughtful touch!
The campsite itself was beautiful with a lovely view and super easy river access. Everything was spotless—truly one of the cleanest and best-maintained sites we’ve stayed at. We will absolutely be back and are already recommending it to friends.

Great place. I camped at Aspen and it was nice and quiet. Not the most secluded, you have a clear view of the house, but there is a nice shaded area to pitch a tent and the owners didn’t come near the spot at all. Electric fences around the site also put my mind at ease where bears were concerned. Definitely keep food tucked away though. We had a lovely family of raccoons eat my mothers resses cup one night

My friends and I had a great time camping here! The dirt road going to the campsite was very easy to drive on and some of our group even had low cars. We were lucky enough to be there during a black moon and the stars were amazing.
