The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Over 25 years ago, Bud, LaRue and Tim bought a piece of property and built a cabin to share with their families. Fast forward to today.... families are grown and now we want to share this incredible spot with you! Come and explore the great outdoors! ... breathe fresh air, go for a hike, take a nap, eat s'mores, sit by the fire, catch and release fish in the pond, bird-watch, play a game together or... just plain relax! This 2-room cabin will sleep eight. BLT Cabin is a nice relaxing place to get away from it all! The generator in the out-building will run the outlets and lights, the water pump on the porch will give you water, and the outhouse is recently renewed. Waivers for you and your kids will need to be signed when you arrive and then enjoy the great outdoors!

The Wood-see is a lovely rustic cabin! We stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s when it was very cold and Russ kept us supplied with wood. We brought paper and a hatchet for kindling, which were both needed. Hope to make it back to stay again!

The camp grounds were very clean and open. I enjoyed my specific cabin (#46). It was very comfortable and had the essentials necessary to feel at home but not too cluttered. I will definitely be coming back for another getaway.

I loved my stay in this cabin; everything was beautiful with the snow and very cozy. The only thing is that I went at the beginning of winter and it was very cold. If you're looking for a place without internet and want to be away from the city, it's perfect for you.

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo!
The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Weekend Trip to Seven Mountains Campground
I loved the tiny home. My partner and I had a great time. Definitely bring cooking equipment though if you plan to cook. I wasn’t sure whether to bring any, and saw it said it had basic cooking equipment but it wasn’t much to work with. Other than that everything was great. Easy to navigate and arrived without issue. Came late so couldn’t find the cabin, but customer service was great and helped navigate us in the dark. Would definitely recommend and come back to the campground when it’s warmer out!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mr ,Russ the GM. The cabin fire was prelit for us and it was really toasty. Thanks Russ!
We recommend bringing lots of water and lanterns as there is no running water or electricity at the saw mill.

Great place to stay! Russ is a kind and patient guy I got to the campsite really late and still he met me there and showed me where I was gonna be staying and I really appreciated that! Lots of hiking and scenery, great patio on the back of the cabin, comes with a fridge and microwave for any food you bring.
There is no insulation so whatever the temperature it is outside it will also be inside, except in the summer there is a window unit, and it’s a tin roof so rain is extra loud on the roof. Other than these things I would recommend anyone stay here for a weekend of solitude or a family getaway!

Weekend Trip to Mulberry Acres
The land is stunning -- much of it an old field with young trees taking over and plumes of wildflowers (currently goldenrod and aster). Great bird habitat. Mowed paths made for a fine adventurous walk. The cabin's bed was very comfortable, the stove was convenient, and our hosts friendly. It was great to have such a secluded spot close to our visit to Shikellamy State Park and Bucknell.

The spot is complete tranquility. In a span of 3 days, I only had one passerby on an ATV, otherwise it is basically in the woods, and the nature is impressive all around you. There is no power and barely any cel coverage (almost none really) so be ready for that, but there was plenty of wood for the woodstove, and I was offered to stay an extra 12+ hours if I needed, which added to the "no stress" time I had. The hosts are quick to respond and let me be otherwise. I would stay again.

We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend in Cubby 1! It’s a very cute little cabin with a comfortable bed, back deck with a gorgeous view, and a nice little fire pit out front. Everything was super clean, and it was furnished with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and a few other kitchen appliances.
No running water in the cabin, but there’s a spigot right out front with potable water.
They also have a window AC and a space heater inside, which definitely helped a bit during the night when it was cold, even though the cabin isn’t insulated.
It’s a huge step up from our normal tent camping, but still rustic and close to nature. We loved our weekend here and will definitely be back!
