This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Guests are encouraged to provide their own towels and bed linens to avoid per bed linen fee. The Rustic Log Cabins are located on the east side of Seneca Lake on Route 414 in the town of Hector. Experience zero light pollution at this off the grid cabin or in one of our camping spots. Although the cabin is not hooked up to electric or water, it is equipped with kitchen cabinets, pots and pans and dishes and silverware, drinking and cleaning/cooking water, a pullout bed with sheets and blankets (2 people), a couch that becomes a futon, one more couch and a blowup air mattrees, a dining room table and four chairs, a porch glider, an outhouse, a camp stove, books, a few rechargeable lights (but good to bring your own), kindling and firewood, and is insulated with a stove for winter stays. A fire pit and benches await your nighttime enjoyment of the solitude and stars. We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed. A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. Great location right on Cayuga Lake for a long weekend getaway! Beautiful and private setting, friendly and thoughtful host! We would absolutely visit again! Las Casitas are comfortable, clean, and cozy - and literally steps to the water! Though we stayed for a few days in October when it was too chilly to go into the lake, this is an ideal spot to swim or drop in a kayak. Susan was a great host and checked in to make sure we had all that we needed! We brought our camping cooking gear to supplement what the cabin offers. Sitting by the Solo stove campfire at night was relaxing, and the porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee! The bed was so comfortable, and a small electric heater that was provided worked well to keep us warm when the temperature dipped lower overnight. Also, we had never used an incinerating toilet before - no issues, easy to use! This spot is private (close to Susan’s cabin but separated by trees) and quiet, while also close to everything the area has to offer - specifically state parks with amazing waterfall hiking (Taughannock is a quick 5 minute drive south, while Buttermilk Falls and Treman are 15-20 minutes south), and cideries and wineries (don’t miss the incredible Finger Lakes Cider House, just 10 minutes north). Likewise, it’s just up the road from Trumansburg and about 15 minutes into Ithaca for more amenities. Thanks again, Susan!

Linens for the beds and towels are also provided. We rent the cabins separately or together as a package. Each large cabin site is equipped with a fire ring for hot dog roasting and s'more making! Fire wood is available for purchase. There is also a propane camp stove at each cabin and a percolator coffee pot. An 8 foot picnic table and two out door chairs with a small table on the porch are also included, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. We also supply a few frying pans and utensils for communal use. The property itself is very quiet and secluded with a creek that runs through. There is NO ELECTRICITY in the cabins or Bath House, but some solar lighting through out the cabins and Bath House.
