We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed.
A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram exploration/typing conversations. Welcome to Hemlock Hollow! Located just 2 miles north of the historic village of Watkins Glen. It is also at the very start of the Finger Lakes Wine trail on the West side of stunning Seneca Lake! We have two cozy cabins available. Each one room cabin can accommodate up to four guests. Inside you will find a set of bunk beds, a fold out futon, a dresser and a corner table. Get away from it all on 60 acres of quiet space! You have two options--bring your own tent and camping gear and rough it, or stay in our hand-built cabin with all you need for a couple of nights of pure R&R! Experience zero light pollution at this off the grid cabin or in one of our camping spots.
Although the cabin is not hooked up to electric or water, it is equipped with kitchen cabinets, pots and pans and dishes and silverware, drinking and cleaning/cooking water, a pullout bed with sheets and blankets (2 people), a couch that becomes a futon, one more couch and a blowup air mattrees, a dining room table and four chairs, a porch glider, an outhouse, a camp stove, books, a few rechargeable lights (but good to bring your own), kindling and firewood, and is insulated with a stove for winter stays. A fire pit and benches await your nighttime enjoyment of the solitude and stars.
We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed.
A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram exploration/typing conversations. This experience can be as solitary as a guest would like, or guests can also experience the gift of connecting with others in community.

Welcome to Hemlock Hollow! Located just 2 miles north of the historic village of Watkins Glen. It is also at the very start of the Finger Lakes Wine trail on the West side of stunning Seneca Lake! We have two cozy cabins available. Each one room cabin can accommodate up to four guests. Inside you will find a set of bunk beds, a fold out futon, a dresser and a corner table. Linens for the beds and towels are also provided. We rent the cabins separately or together as a package. Each large cabin site is equipped with a fire ring for hot dog roasting and s'more making! Fire wood is available for purchase. There is also a propane camp stove at each cabin and a percolator coffee pot. An 8 foot picnic table and two out door chairs with a small table on the porch are also included, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Weekend Trip to Peaceful Forrest
Been to the cabin several times. Very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful with hiking trails with views that are amazing. The owner is great he even kept cabin open for us two weeks after he usually shut down for the season. If you get a chance definitely check out this hip camp.

Beautiful location and views! The cabin is so lovely- straight forward but also well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches and art! Loved hanging on the screen-in porch and being able to take a hot shower outside. Sauna was incredible, just takes time and patience :) Air mattress was comfier than I expected too. I hope to return for another staycation in the woods soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin! The space was spotless and very well maintained — everything felt clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was the perfect spot to relax and visit with family, with plenty of room to gather and enjoy time together.
The location was great — easy to find right off the highway, yet peaceful and quiet once we arrived. It’s also just a short drive to the Finger Lakes, making it a convenient home base for exploring the area.
We truly enjoyed our stay the past three years and look forward to our next visit!

This is an awesome cabin, and Amber is an excellent host! Amber was VERY responsive from the first moment and all through our stay. She made sure everything was right and we had what we needed. She went above and beyond, even making sure that the Wagyu steaks she left for us would be thawed by the appropriate time! She has outfitted the cabin very thoughtfully and comfortably. It was clean and new - no webs or dirt here. The screened in porch has a gas grill and grill utensils. The cabin and the porch are well lit and there is a nice cozy propane heater inside. There is a nightstand with a cute lamp and 2 comfy real beds fully outfitted with bedding (and extra blankets!). There are many well-considered details including a lighter, wine bottle opener, oven mitts, metal roasting sticks for toasting marshmallows and hot dogs (can grill multiple at the same time), a small assortment of chips and some bottled water, paper plates and paper towels, a fire extinguisher, coathooks ..... everything you might need. Lots of extra chairs and a table to put wherever. The cabin locks for security, if you decide to leave. The port a potty is the cleanest one you will ever see and it even has a light for night. The outdoor heated shower is also very nice. Great fields adjacent for walking and enjoying the great scenery and Seneca Lake. So there's no water... you'll live. Get one of those water canisters with the spout and you'll be fine.

What a great cabin! The inside had a wonderful hygge feel, and the wood stove is legit. Loved that the kitchen was outdoors, too. The best aspects were being able to let our dogs roam and explore as it was so peaceful and remote, yet a quick drive to our favorite FLX spots. Couldn't recommend Minglewood more highly!

We loved this little cabin! All I wanted for my birthday was a couple days in the woods, and this place was exactly what I needed. You can hear the water from the stream as you fall asleep at night, and the cabin was nice and cozy during a rainy afternoon. This was the perfect place to unplug, sit by the fire, and recharge. We will definitely be back!

J responded quickly to all my questions, and was very personable. I'm an older woman, traveling it my reactive dog, so his cabin location made me feel safe with his home being so close. But it was still secluded enough to feel we were alone, and the area is beautiful! It's super cute and close to all the amazing sights in the Finger Lakes.

We stayed in The Loon cabin. It was super cute and nice. Simple necessities with all bases covered. The property was so large and had shoreline and wooded and field walking so we never even needed to leave to walk the dogs. We came AFTER kids camp season and we will be back! Only a half hour drive to CMAC! Bryan was easy to reach and quick to respond.

The Heron cabin was great. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a heater and fan. The common area got chilly overnight but the bedroom stayed comfortable with the door closed. The grounds were great and our dog loved exploring. The views of the lake were spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting out on the dock. We already can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the pool, and use a kayak or canoe.
One thing to note is there is no outside lock on the cabin, though we totally felt our belongings were safe when we left during the day.
