The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others

Get away from it all on 60 acres of quiet space! You have two options--bring your own tent and camping gear and rough it, or stay in our hand-built cabin with all you need for a couple of nights of pure R&R! Experience zero light pollution at this off the grid cabin or in one of our camping spots.
Although the cabin is not hooked up to electric or water, it is equipped with kitchen cabinets, pots and pans and dishes and silverware, drinking and cleaning/cooking water, a pullout bed with sheets and blankets (2 people), a couch that becomes a futon, one more couch and a blowup air mattrees, a dining room table and four chairs, a porch glider, an outhouse, a camp stove, books, a few rechargeable lights (but good to bring your own), kindling and firewood, and is insulated with a stove for winter stays. We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed.
A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. Welcome to Hemlock Hollow! Located just 2 miles north of the historic village of Watkins Glen. It is also at the very start of the Finger Lakes Wine trail on the West side of stunning Seneca Lake! We have two cozy cabins available. Each one room cabin can accommodate up to four guests. Inside you will find a set of bunk beds, a fold out futon, a dresser and a corner table. Linens for the beds and towels are also provided. We rent the cabins separately or together as a package. Each large cabin site is equipped with a fire ring for hot dog roasting and s'more making! Fire wood is available for purchase. There is also a propane camp stove at each cabin and a percolator coffee pot. An 8 foot picnic table and two out door chairs with a small table on the porch are also included, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. We also supply a few frying pans and utensils for communal use. The property itself is very quiet and secluded with a creek that runs through. There is NO ELECTRICITY in the cabins or Bath House, but some solar lighting through out the cabins and Bath House.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin! The space was spotless and very well maintained — everything felt clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was the perfect spot to relax and visit with family, with plenty of room to gather and enjoy time together.
The location was great — easy to find right off the highway, yet peaceful and quiet once we arrived. It’s also just a short drive to the Finger Lakes, making it a convenient home base for exploring the area.
We truly enjoyed our stay the past three years and look forward to our next visit!

It was such a treat to stay with Nicole and Jason's quaint cabin! Every detail was charming and incredibly thoughtful and considerate to our needs. We arrived later the normal check in time and were met at the road as the sun was setting to guide us to the cabin, which was a bit removed from the road, but no issue for our compact car given the dry weather. The cabin, despite the crisp October weather, was cozy and warm, with a electricity and a heater we didn't need to use. There was a beautiful fire pit, coffee and cute wheel-thrown mugs, as well as extra blankets, water, and anything else we might have needed to be comfortable (three adults and an 10-month old, who loved the nearby pond, big bull frogs, and beautifully maintained space to explore). We alerted Nicole ahead of time that we would have an extra guest staying with us, and they even put up an additional tent, though a collapsible cot fit well enough inside the cabin. This stay was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to return when we are next in the area. Thank you!

Our second visit. This place is just magical. One weekend is not enough time. If it were open in the Winter we'd totally come here to ski and get away-even if there was no indoor plumbing...hint hint :) Just need a wood stove or pellet stove situation :)

Our family had a fantastic stay at Creekside on camp road. The cabin so nice and very very clean. The site had more than enough seating for our large family and areas for us to set up tents. The outhouse was well maintained well lit at night. The creek was just perfect for our 7 year old to play in the water and even watch some deer go by. Leah was incredibly attentive and answered any questions we had right away. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in The Loon cabin. It was super cute and nice. Simple necessities with all bases covered. The property was so large and had shoreline and wooded and field walking so we never even needed to leave to walk the dogs. We came AFTER kids camp season and we will be back! Only a half hour drive to CMAC! Bryan was easy to reach and quick to respond.

The Heron cabin was great. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a heater and fan. The common area got chilly overnight but the bedroom stayed comfortable with the door closed. The grounds were great and our dog loved exploring. The views of the lake were spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting out on the dock. We already can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the pool, and use a kayak or canoe.
One thing to note is there is no outside lock on the cabin, though we totally felt our belongings were safe when we left during the day.

I love staying at camp Whitman. It was so quiet, peaceful, and green. Being right on Lake Seneca was unbeatable. Gorgeous! I had to do some remote work and my cabin had great WiFi signal!

Bryan was incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. We rented the Hawk for 2 nights and it was perfect for our family of 4. The screened in porch is great for eating meals and playing cards. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, and fishing on the pond. They have a very nice dock with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake- about 5 minutes from the cabin. They do have a pool, but it was too chilly for us to use it. No need to bring a grill or camping chairs. They have benches outside around the campfire. Also included was hand soap, dish soap, tissue, paper towels, grilling tools, microwave, toaster oven, decent sized fridge with freezer, and a fan. It has a nice rustic feel with the comforts of running water/toilet/shower. We would definitely come back!

The location is great, quiet, and convenient. There are a ton of accommodations from comfortable seating, campfire, showering, outhouse, grill (propane and charcoal), cover, lights, power, and games. There’s practically no wind to disrupt cooking or outside games and you can even bring the dogs.
My family, most of which have never had any interest in camping, had a great time. I also enjoyed the proximity to closeby parks. Leah was also an excellent host and was always available.

Loved spending time at Randy and Allison’s farm! They are kind and accommodating hosts. This is our 6th trip out and we just can’t get enough of the fresh air and wonderful accommodations. The cabin in the woods is so cool and tho r evening and comfortably fits our family of four.
