It was awesome to have the gazebo site to set up our tent because we arrived after dark & it was raining. John met us in the morning with a dozen fresh eggs which provided our breakfasts for the following week if camping. He was welcoming & friendly. It was an extra bonus having the cook shack with a propane stove, mini fridge & potable water.

John was an excellent host and his campsite was great. The cook shack was a nice addition, we well as the fire pit. We also purchased some fresh eggs and ate them for breakfast and they were delicious. Can’t recommend camping at John’s enough.

Property maintenance. We paid more money for the bigger tent with the bed, not knowing that that tent didn’t have a floor and we had pincher type bugs all in the sheets and everything we’re OK with some bugs but not bugs that bite. These had little pictures look like little scorpions so we actually left early. The guy told me that he was gonna refund all my money because the first night I had to sleep in our vehicle with my kid because he got bit and was freaked out, and actually, he only refunded half. We won’t be staying there again.

Great time on Johns land! We had our own camping gear and stuff. His concrete pad is nice with running water and kitchen utensils, pots and pans. As well as a power outlet. The gas grill was good and the fire set up for us was nice.

The teepee #2 site was great! It was extremely convenient to be able to show up after dark and not mess with setting up a tent. The property is beautiful and easy access to bathrooms and cool shack. Would definitely come back.

We had a great stay at John's place, the teepee tent was perfect for our group of 4 and John was a very generous host!! It had rained the day before so someone lent us some towels to wipe down any wet spots in the tent, and we also got to feed the chickens and ducks on the property!
The cook shack was also very convenient, it had everything we needed and we loved sitting around the campfire :)

John is an amazing host! It was raining wuite a bit, but he made sure our area stayed dry. He even prepared the campfire wood for us which was pretty convenient. He also made sure the kitchen area was stocked up as well. The area is easy to find and has plenty of space for multiple tents.

The cabin tent at John’s site was a very enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the chickens and ducks, we had pleasant neighbors, and had easy access to the amenities! Thanks for a great stay.

My wife and I had a great time staying with John at the Gazebo. John was a great host and had an amazing yard. The gazebo was great for sitting under and enjoying the view. The directions to the campsite were clear and easy to find. John had a cook shack with water and a place to wash dishes. I would highly recommend staying here. 10/10 experience!

We loved staying here! We cycled from Port Angeles and it made an amazing base camp to do the Olympic Adventure Trail. The glamping tent was spacious and the kitchen area has everything you need. We will be back!

We loved camping on John's land :-) he is super accommodating and made sure all the amenities were clean and comfortable for us. The cook shack and the propane fire pit were such a hit!! I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. also very close to incredible beaches and lakes.

This was a nice glamping experience & John’s property is very quiet (other than the roosters in the morning:)). The only thing that could have been better was the significant amount of thistles in the grass-we had dogs with us & there tootsies suffered.

Camping on John's land was great! Having the cook shack to use was very helpful. Porta-potties were clean and serviced regularly, signs to help get you from the main road to the site were clear and helpful, drinking water was good, and the propane fire area with chairs was a nice hangout spot.

John’s land was great, awesome to have a sink and portable bathrooms were well maintained. Don’t expect privacy though, and make sure to keep quiet hours and be respectful. There are chickens and a rooster on the lot, so don’t be shocked if you have an early wake up from them!

The tepee was beautiful and very convenient because we could stand upright. It was very safe to drive up very late at night or very early in the morning and easy to find. And the geese were nice too :)

Such an amazing stay at John's campsite. Host on arrival was so so friendly, camping area and toilets were clean and had an amazing kitchen and firepit area to relax and enjoy. Our site was so spacious couldn't have asked for better. Great location close to Port Angeles and hiking trails. Made for the perfect long weekend. First time using hipcamp and so happy we did.

A great site, lots of open space, with unexpected amenities like the fully stocked cook shack w/ utensils, dishes, coffeemaker, games, grill & cooker, potable water. Clean portable toilets, just note that there are no showers onsite (clearly stated in HipCamp listing). There is a coin-op shower available ~15 min drive away.
Easy access to Lake Crescent, we loved our stay here and will plan to come again!

This was the easy way to camp. The rooster was very vocal at times, but seeing the chickens and ducks was fun. Cook shack was great. Clean. Mattress could have been better with a thicker pad on top. Very friendly and helpful.

Exactly as described -- super cute tepee tent in a nicely manicured grassy area. Appreciated the hanging lantern since we arrived after dark. Mattresses were comfortable!

Fantastic host, came out to welcome us with a very friendly greeting once we had settled in. The cooking shack was fabulous, has all the essentials in terms of cooking utensils, even a decent propane BBQ! Campsites are far enough apart that noise is not an issue, although everyone we met here was super kind and considerate. Would stay here again

I’m so glad I found this place! Super convenient base camp location to explore Olympic National Park. The canvas tent and cooking shed made things so easy with less to pack. The no showers turned out to not be a problem at all - I suggest visiting the Sol Duc Hotsprings midway in your trip and snagging a shower there. Don’t look further than this property! It’s truly a nice secluded gem and John is a very thoughtful host as well!

This was a wonderful place to stay and unwind. It is central to all of the Olympic National Park (North side) so you are within 1.5-2 hr drive of literally everything. Campsites are clean, well maintained and it is quiet here. Sites are spaced enough to feel like you have some privacy. My daughters commented several times that the bathrooms are really clean (and this is saying something coming from them!).
John is fabulous. Very respectful and kind. He checks in on the amenities to ensure that there are clean hand towels and that services are as expected, but he does this in a very non-intrusive way (I.e.; I saw that he had come to check on the cooking shack several times during my week there - but I never saw him but twice the whole week).
Deer walk through here constantly. It was just awesome! Kids absolutely loved the place.
