Fat Pony Farm

Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. This is a great option if you're attending events at The Gorge, it's about 15 minutes away. The property is well-kept and lots of grassy areas for tents. The corral site also has a nice grass pad (the photos look like dirt, but its very green) and a lovely garden-like setting. There are trees around, but mid-day sun can be brutal, so be sure to pack your own shade. The dogs are very sweet and no problem at all. they just excitedly bark a couple of times when you first arrive, and then we never heard them again during our stay.

Chickens, doggos and thunder, OH MY

We are Big Fans!! We were here last year for the Outlaw Festival at the Gorge, and this year we vastly enjoyed Fat Pony Farm for Brandi Carlile’s ECHOES THRU THE CANYON weekend! When we arrived, we were handed a bag of earplugs for ourselves and our friends (the roosters get insistent in the morning) as well as a weather report- there was a thunderstorm coming in! (we fared better than many at the Gorge Campground) We packed in adequate water, and are fine with the use of a portable potty. Quite appreciated there was hand washing included, actually. (We found it interesting that other campers did NOT seem to read the info on the website about this being a DRY CAMP. Too bad for them) George, WA the town is tiny, but has a great Mexican restaurant- easy and delicious to get there for dinner the one night we weren’t at the Gorge. We also took home a few dozen eggs from the chickens! ( Can’t really get fresher than hearing them be laid, I think) Looking forward to staying next year!

5-Star Review: Fat Pony Farm Corral Campsite – A Perfect Post-Show Sanctuary! We booked last minute for a Rufus du Sol show at The Gorge and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. My son and I rolled up an hour before the show and were immediately blown away at the beautiful and peaceful campsite. The rolling hills, the wide-open sky… it felt like we’d stumbled into a little slice of heaven in Quincy, Washington. The hosts were absolute gems. They met us right at our site, welcomed us warmly, handed us a card with their contact info, and even gave us ear plugs (thoughtful touch!). They made it clear we could call anytime if we needed anything at all. That level of personal care set the tone for the whole stay. The drive to the Gorge Amphitheater is super quick and easy, which was perfect after a long day. We loved coming back to total peace and quiet after the high-energy show. No party noise, no chaos—just calm, starry skies, and the most stunning view of the moon rising over those gentle hills. I sat outside soaking it in, feeling completely restored. This experience was truly a blessing. The combination of convenient location, thoughtful hospitality, and that serene farm vibe made our mother-son trip unforgettable. We’re already planning our next visit! Highly recommend, whether you’re catching a show at The Gorge or just need a peaceful getaway. Thank you to the hosts for making us feel so welcome!

We had a wonderful stay here. Peaceful setting in the middle of farm fields. The hosts were nice and the location is 15-20 mins from the Gorge Amphitheater. Would return for sure.

Amy and Scott’s farm was a perfect base camp for our show at the gorge. Scott took the time to greet us when we got there. The grounds were well kept and there was plenty of space for us and our friends. Highly recommend this place for a quiet resting place before/after a show.

This place was a gem of a find! So close to the gorge but far enough detached that you can actually chill. The hosts were very friendly & made sure we had everything we needed. It was a great camp spot and we hope to come back someday!

We had a wonderful stay at Fat Pony Farm and would recommend it to anyone. Positive features- very close to the Gorge amphitheater, good communication from Amy and a comfortable trailer. Plus, it’s quiet!

Great camping for Gorge Amphitheatr

This is a great camp to go to after a Gorge Amphitheatre show. The hosts were awesome: checked on us when we got there and in the morning, and there is a stand where you can buy a few basic things. It's abou 15-20 minutes from the amphitheatre. It has a lovely view for your morning coffee.

Friendly folks with bucolic farm

Scott & Amy were incredibly hospitable and generous hosts. They were extremely helpful, friendly and highly communicative. When Scott thought there was a better option for us, he showed us and let us make that decision. When asked, Amy provided an excellent choice of coffee and breakfast places, and her selections were right on the money. Overall, this was a great place to camp, and I would 10/10 stay here again.

What a fun place to camp. Scott was so friendly and helpful. You’ll hear the farm animals early in the morning, but we enjoyed that and it made us laugh. They quiet down after feeding so you can sleep late after they wake up. Aside from the beautiful setting, the second best part was how close this was to The Gorge. Side note: visit their onsite store. A dozen farm fresh eggs for $5?! Gatorade for $2? How about Fresh Quail Eggs? These folks are so reasonable with pricing. Pick up some stuff for the road!

Quiet retreat after a Gorge concert

We had site #1 which had a little tree which gave us some shade late afternoon. We had a peaceful comfortable sleep and made breakfast using our camp stove on the bench provided.Amy and Scott's farm and garden are a pleasure to see .We bought fresh eggs and peaches. Remember to take water though ,it's a dry camp. Recommended.

Amy and Scott’s place was a perfect spot for a night while seeing a concert at The Gorge. Safe, well cared for, and serene. I highly recommend it! And make sure when you get back after the show to check out the stars. A stunning view on a clear night that you won’t want to miss.

The hosts were great with communication and were very accommodating. This is a great place to stay if you’re headed to the Gorge as it’s only 20 minutes away. Clean space and toilets. Our favourite part was hanging out with the donkeys. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for our great stay!!!🩷

My experience here was wonderful! The hosts were so friendly, responsive, and very accommodating. I slept very well and really enjoyed meeting some of their animals. Their property is beautiful and it is evident that they work hard to make it a pleasant place to stay. I will absolutely plan on coming back when I’m out this way again.

I’m so glad I found this spot! I was planning on camping at Ancient Lakes but the bugs were swarming. I booked a spot here last minute and it was great! They are very friendly people and their farm is adorable. I had the place to myself, no biting flies to deal with! They have a little shed with provisions for sale and I got some tallow skin cream she makes which is wonderful! Next time I hike Ancient Lakes I’ll definitely be staying here.

Amy and Scott were attentive and friendly hosts. The chickens, quails, donkeys, and dogs were incredible to watch. We also loved the scones and night lights around the farm. We are already looking forward to returning one day. Thanks for sharing your wonderful farm!

it was so nice to pull up to our little private ‘paddock’ next to Chewy, the mini-donkey! (who oversaw us and made sure we behaved ourselves appropriately) The sunflowers are on their way and will be gorgeous, and we really appreciated the little table and chairs for when we didn’t want to be in the Airstream trailer. also very appreciated- the little sink in the portapotty for handwashing. While the set up is primitive (and well-set up in expectations) it was a nice detail. Another nice detail was the ‘shed’ that held a fridge with eggs, cold water, iced coffee cans and baked goods for purchase. For a festival day at the Gorge, that would be handy- and to cool off, you can buy a frozen candy bar out of the freezer. The Great Pyrenees doggos are excellent watchdogs, and the other hip campers were very nice that we spoke with. We all appreciated having enough space around each site. Lastly, our daily visits from Scott were chatty and fun but not intrusive. also the reminder about the windstorm helped us not lose our 10x10 tent shade. much appreciated all around.
