We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was very nice! No issues with power, water, or septic! There were several neighbors nearby, but the area was still very quiet. There was some machinery working around the campsite where other sites will soon become available. Unfortunately, it probably won't be as quiet and private in the future.

The views are lovely. Peter’s site is situated such that you have privacy from the other RV’s, which is nice. We were there to hike and paddle board, primarily: and there are plenty of places to do both! Close to Murphy and just a few miles from the Tennessee line. We recommend this spot!

Beautiful view.
We had a great visit staying at Top of the Mountain. Great view of mountains. good hook up with septic. Had rain in evenings so didn't do a fire but nice fire pit. Directions were very helpful.

Great views and privacy.
We loved the site and had a great weekend here. The host communicated quickly when we had questions. Our two kids and dog had a great time.

Camp under the stars on a mountain!
We had a peaceful stay at Top of The Mountain. The drive up was a little bit of a climb, but our 24ft RV made it easily! The site had FHU as well as a large fire pit and picnic table to use. Such a beautiful view and quiet neighbors! Could have stayed here for a week just enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Beautiful spot!
This was our first experience with Hipcamp and Peter certainly made it easy. The spot is very quiet, level and well appointed. The view is spectacular! The site is in a new neighborhood designed for RVs and we anticipate the solitude we experienced may change as it fills up but the neighbors we encountered were quiet and respectful. The photos do not show the storage barn on the property and we found the covered porch with electricity the perfect spot to enjoy the view. There is a brand new picnic table and a nice fire pit as well. All utilities were perfectly placed and leveling would have been unnecessary. It is about 20-25 minutes into Murphy which has everything you need and the surrounding area is blessed with lakes, waterfalls and plenty of natural resources and activities. We are already trying to figure out when we can return.

Great Weekend
It was very quite ad peaceful. We were the only ones there. There were other RV sites but they were all empty. The care taker of the property was super helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful area, just remember to carry everything you need. The closes restaurant or hardware store is 30 minutes away.

Worked out great! Definitely in the middle of nowhere but some nice hiking and a lake is near by.

Favorite Hipcamp yet
Absolutely amazing. Very peaceful and quiet with great views. Peter uses the space for his trailer so he knows exactly how to setup it up for easy in and out and hookups. We will likely book again.

Perfect site for quality R&R
What a gorgeous spot! Definitely off the beaten path, but able to get to with our rented 35ft RV. Perfectly secluded, with only a few cars passing by daily. Peter was quick to respond to any questions we had and we were able to add a day to our trip at the last minute. Would advise to bring your own firewood in with you, as there are not any places nearby to buy dry wood. The locals are some of the friendliest people we've met. Highly recommend this peaceful little slice of heaven!

Quiet Place to Rest and Rejuvenate
Very secluded and quiet - beautiful place to rest and rejuvenate. The few neighbors we encountered were friendly and the setting is exactly as described. The hookups were convenient and worked fine. I would just note that the directions underestimated the distance from 294 to Pioneer Dr - it was closer to 4 miles rather than 2.

Awesome site! Great to have water, electric and firepit while also being so secluded. Sunrises are amazing here! Also close to Persimmon lake which we did a 9 mile kayak trip on while we were there. Will definitely come back! For those looking to work, we had 5G with TMobile the majority of the time. I think with a booster, you could work at this site no problem with solid 5G the entire time.

Quiet, quaint, stargazing adventure
The quiet, peaceful mountains, clean, well-kept space and fun, local adventures are just what you’re looking for! Drive a few miles to the Turtletown Creek Falls hiking trail (upper and lower falls- 4.2 mile hike round trip) or down the road (directions provided by the attendant at the Wagonmaster Resort General Store) to the lake for swimming made this place a perfect weekend for our family! The kids loves exploring right around the campsite as well as the Wagonmaster down the (steel) hill. A large stack of firewood was provided which was a very nice touch! Reliable electricity, water and dump station, long flat pull through site and view of the distant mountains just over the tree tops. (A few more trees down and the view would be spectacular.) Stargazing at night was incredible!

About 25 minutes or so from Murphy, NC, Peter's site was a great place for us to detox from our urban lifestyle. The night sky was unbelievable as well as the mountain view towards the turnaround. There's also an old-fashioned-style family fun park just down the dirt road from the campsite that our whole family enjoyed (gold mining, gem mining, and more). We were there in early July and our young boys loved picking blackberries! With all the hardwoods, this spot is bound to have awesome fall foliage and amazing views of fall color. All of the locals were pleasant and happy to help with directions to local activities. While we didn't mind one bit, cell service is mostly nonexistent, so you may want to plan ahead. A great way to start our family vacation!
