12 Acres in the Redwoods. Creekside, many many swimming holes lots of open spaces private driveway secluded location lots of chickens usually an endless supply of eggs for breakfast. Small supervised campfires available. Hot showers, wood-burning stove and kitchen amenities running water. This is our home, it is private, eclectic and filled with natural beauty. That being said, it is by no means pristine. We have the occasional junk pile like most off grid homesteaders do. We do not throw out some things that others would. We try to find a use for old and weathered equipment and materials. Our cabin is built completely with recycled and reclaimed materials. Like I said, we do not like to waste anything, so you may notice a few parts and pieces laying around. WiFi works in the cabin but sometimes it can be spotty and not the fastest.

Up Shit creek, Cabin

Happy to go up Shit’s Creek.

Thor’s place is great, and he’s a kind, caring host. The place is funky so you have to be ok with that. Our dogs has a blast, could roman free. The sound of the creek was great. Tons of firewood. You will want to make sure you bring make things. The firepit has a grate for grilling. Outdoor shower is warm. Chickens and peacocks are cool but of course expect rooster wake up calls.

This spot is great! Our camp site was right next to the river under the redwoods. Thor was super helpful and accommodating. We felt welcomed and will be returning soon.

Amazing stay

We had a lovely stay in our tent! Next time we will probably rent the cabin it seemed like the nicest spot next to the fire. Enjoyed the chickens and beautiful peacocks! Thanks Thor!

Book this place! rustic And quiet

Thor was so friendly and very accommodating. The camp is very rustic but has a lot of amenities and the creek sang me to sleep. Highly recommend for anyone needing a place to tent in the area.

Thor rocks and so does his property

We absolutely loved staying here. The property was awesome - we were able to play in the creek on a nice warm day. Thor was so attentive to our needs and provided directions on how to use the (many) amenities. We also enjoyed seeing the peacocks and chickens. Thor allowed us to use his tent, which was large and very clean. The only drawback was that our tent site was a little uneven. I would recommend staying here!
