Everyone is so friendly.

Dry Camping Site

Everyone is so friendly. The dry camp spots are good sized and each has a fire ring and picnic table. There are fun things to check out on the property. We were hoping to see stars but bad timing on our part - there during a full moon. Definitely would recommend.

Joshua Tree Lakes staff were welcoming and helpful.

Dry Camping Site

Joshua Tree Lakes staff were welcoming and helpful. The sites were clean and well maintained. They even rake the sites between visitors! We stayed in the dry RV sites which were large and perfect for star gazing at night. It is close to both of the north entrances to Joshua tree state park and the towns of Joshua Tree and 29 Palms. And yes, there is a small lake there!

I loved tent camping at Joshua Tree Lake campground

Southside Tent/Car Campsite

I loved tent camping at Joshua Tree Lake campground. We got to see animals up close and enjoy the stars at night. The only confusion for me was did we set up on the left or right of the table marking our tent site number. Marking out the space would be helpful because other tent campers seemed to have the same confusion. We will definitely recommend, and be visiting again. It was a fun enjoyable experience.

Southside Tent/Car Campsite

I like the area and also Joshua Tree and the camping site Facilities was really good. The only problem is the tent camping site trees are not that big to create a lot of shades. Some spots you can find with enough shades. But overall, I like the place and thanks to the Manager.

Yes, I am that fool who loves visiting Joshua Tree in August.

30/50 Amp Full Hook-Up Site

Yes, I am that fool who loves visiting Joshua Tree in August. Plus side is I had the campground mostly to myself! They had just switched to a new booking system so there was some confusion with my site - they were super accommodating and supportive, unlike Hipcamp's new AI support system. Note that the power and sewer ports are reversed from most other campsites (at least at my location) so you may need to use extensions or get creative, but they do all work and the bushes provided excellent privacy between me and the nonexistent neighbors! They do have quite a few lights on at night, so if you're looking for pure starwatching you may need to commute - but I was still able to see some of the meteor shower with ease.

Great little camping park with a small duck pond.

Northeast Rustic Tent/Car Campsite

Great little camping park with a small duck pond. Excellent hot showers and flush toilets- kept scrupulously clean. Friendly check in and very helpful. Coyotes at night a little windy in the evening but it soon dies down and you can start gaze.

Loved this campsite!

Westside Tent/Car Campsite

Loved this campsite! Came here with my spouse and 2 dogs. It’s a great beginner campground. Check in/out was smooth. They have bathrooms and showers available & the lake is pretty to walk around. They even have firewood and snacks for purchase. I loved the fact that security was patrolling the site at night so we felt safe. Our campsite was great because it was off the side and not near other campers while still not feeling too isolated. Would come here again!
