Nestled between Anderson Valley and Mendocino Coast is the sleepy village of Comptche. Our camp site offers a canvas cabin tent, a full-size bed with memory foam mattress and a covered camp kitchen including a two-burner stove, cooking equipment. water and a table and chairs. Bring your own bedding or we will provide bedding and linens for $25. Bedding includes sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels. You can walk around the organic vegetable and herb garden and small orchard and visit the chickens and goats. Hot showers and a hammock are provided. Pets are welcome in the fenced area; campfires are permitted in the spring. Futons are available for additional guests for a nominal fee. Basics from the store are a short walk away, Mon-Sat. 8am to 6 pm (cash only) Closed Sundays.Mendocino village on the Pacific Ocean is 15 miles west where scenic adventures and fine dining are available.. To the east is wine country and Hendy Woods State Park and the town of Boonville. A 45 minute drive north takes you to Montgomery Woods State park and Orr Hot Springs. Enjoying the quiet pace at our gardens is another option.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Wow! This exceeded my expectations by far! Jennifer has truly created such an amazing place. It’s evident the love she has put into it, with all the little touches that really aren’t little at all. It’s hard to put into words, but if you need a place to get away for some quiet and relaxation, among nature and animals, I can’t recommend this enough. Whether you want to have a base to explore the area, or simply want to stay put in one spot, look no further. There is a vibe that spoke to my soul! I came away feeling so renewed and relaxed. And bonus, my dog Reggie played with her dog Pipin, constantly. I felt like I had 2 dogs for the days I was there 😊. Reggie is typically a nervous dog when staying a new places, but he was comfortable right away and played, explored, and roamed the whole property with Pipin. It was so heartwarming to witness. There were also goats and chickens! For Reggie and I, this is a little slice of Heaven and we will definitely be going back!

Just wow! What a gem of a place that Jennifer has built. My wife, dog and I had an amazing time here. We stayed for three nights and would have stayed longer if we could. It it such a serene getaway built with all the amenities you can think of. You truly have everything you need and Jennifer will make you feel like it is your home. Getting to know her added to our wonderful experience and we cannot wait to go back! As far as amenities, you have an awesome outdoor shower with hot water, a clean outdoor bathroom, and a full working kitchen station. The space its self is massive as you are allowed to explore the entire property and say hi to the goats and kitchens. Our favorite spot was the hammock in the middle of the redwoods. We hang out there to read quite a bit. Truly an awesome getaway! Lastly, the drive to Mendocino is really nice through the redwoods so we did not mind the 20 minute drive to get into town.

What a delightfully sweet location to stay; we were surrounded by Redwoods, and adjacent to goats, chickens, and a lovely creek. Upon arrival Jennifer kindly greeted and welcomed us into her beautiful environs. We couldn't have felt more at home. With respect to the amenities, everything was carefully and thoughtfully set up, with wonderful touches throughout the camp site. Very very highly recommended stay!

Jennifer was very welcoming and chill, so I felt very relaxed and comfortable throughout my stay. I enjoyed the comfortable air mattress in the canvas tent. There was the outdoor kitchen and on-demand shower that were easy to use. Although it is remote off a windy road, it was nice to be amongst the redwoods.

Lovely time at Serendipity!

We absolutely have a beautiful time here! The property was so beautiful! We loved having our little gated area for our dog to keep her close while hanging at our site. But Jennifer was so sweet and welcoming. She also let us walk all over the land to see the goats, chickens, and the frog pond in the garden. Plus there is a sweet bridge with a stream! My son loved playing with her dog and I loved chatting with Jennifer. All and all it was exactly what we needed to experience! Thank you truly Jennifer for such a nice place. Oh and all the beautiful flowers, herbs and landscaping!
