Oak Springs is an 80 acre "off grid" ranch. Oak Springs was originally a stage coach stop for miners during the 1800's. Family owned and operated since 1944. Oak Springs Ranch is known for the breathtaking views, pure water, organic gardens, and friendly family atmosphere. We offer guided tours on horseback to the local hot springs, water caves or take a local ride to learn about the local Native Americans.
The pictures look different than the site and i wouldn't necessarily describe it the way they did. Great host but id never pay for a spot here again at that price. There is no water to dip in for about a 30 minute drive to a different campsite, and 45 minute hike. Cute dogs and nice people, but terrible to drive to without a big off road vehicle. Just straight desert no attraction. It says there is showers but when I walked to the shower sign there was nothing there but an abandoned shack looking thing. I ended up leaving the first night and staying somewhere else but im sure for people who are used to the desert and want to get away during the winter it would be a nicer experience. There are no picnic tables at the spots, just a lot of abandoned cars, chairs, etc. They had some projects in the works so im sure it will be a great place to stay eventually. Maybe it wouldve been nicer at night but I decided to leave after about 25 minutes.
