Beautiful four acer property located off the grid with stunning views and awesome star gazing. This campsite is secluded with tons of privacy but still located only a 10 minute drive from town, hiking trails and Joshua Tree National Park. There are many places near by to go hiking, rock climbing, off roading and even a horseback riding. Family friendly and perfect for tent or RV camping! Campsite #1 includes a deck to pull your trailer or car up to. Includes a fire pit, a picnic bench, a rug, poles to hang your hammock and a porter potty and skate ramp on the property. We do have another building and campsite on the property so please stay clear of the construction site. Trailer not included. To enter the site you’ll be given a code to unlock the front, you may pull in and camp anywhere you like on the property. The property is marked with stakes surrounding the line of acreage. Simply pass the cul-de-sac and continue until you see the roped gate with a padlock. There is a designated site with a fire pit and deck that you can pull your RV next to you if you have one. There is lots of room for parking and tent camping. This site is completely off grid so bring water, generators, trash cans/bags and please be respectful to the land.

Spring Break Camping Trip 🏕️
Overall we had a very great experience the the Jackrabbit Hideout. It was very secluded and had a great setup. It would be even better with a sink.

As-Advertised!
Jack Rabbit Hideout is as-advertised: quiet, secluded, peaceful, full of nature—while also only 10 mins from town and easy to find. I was visited by a coyote and several jack rabbits during my stay. The sunset and sunrise were both divine. Admittedly, there are several nearby homesteads that you can see and sometimes hear, but they're at least 100 yards away so you do feel plenty removed. Cell coverage is great. Which is a good thing because ... ... My 33' Class A RV got stuck in the soft sand and I had to call a tow truck. So, I would definitely not recommend large motorhomes here. There's also a slight "hump" getting to the site. Probably best to be in a Sprinter or similar at the largest. Any regular car/truck/suv will be fine. Joseph was super good with communication. I loved the spot, and would definitely stay here again—but not in my giant motorhome!!

Jack rabbit hideout
The best Tent/ RV camping
I had an extraordinary night at the ' jackrabbit hide out.' Though the route was a bit tricky, with the help of the kind and patient Joseph, we successfully found the campsite. The charming small setup provided an ideal space for tent camping. We were pleasantly surprised by the presence of a large bonfire and abundant firewood that Joseph had arranged at the camp. We spent the entire night under the beautiful desert sky, watching the moon and stars by the warmth of the fire. The entire road was well-paved and asphalted, and towards the end of the journey, less than a mile on a dirt road, we easily navigated it without the need for an off-road vehicle to reach the camp's entry gate. The gate, enclosed by a metal fence and a private area, leads you into the beautiful and welcoming space curated by Joseph. I highly recommend experiencing this camp, and I look forward to returning to this delightful place again. Thanks to Joseph for his warm hospitality and creating such a memorable camping spot!
