The Lean-To
Peaceful Farm Paradise
Really wonderful stay for those looking to get off the grid and enjoy a peaceful visit in the outdoors. Some camping experience helps as you'll be truly in nature. The host, Munro, is very friendly and welcoming and makes sure you have what you need. You'll also be greeted by two friendly pups, a host of chickens, and a few sheep and a cow. There is a crystal clear river just a short walk away that you will most likely have to yourself. The drive in is tricky and best to have a car with 4WD.

Munro created a wonderful space to reflect, journal, be near the river, and to enjoy the outdoors.

Munro is the best host ever
We loved staying at Munro’s place. The scenery was awesome, he was very generous and kind, and at the end of our stay we became so close that we started to share meals. He is also very wise and calm. His dogs guided us to the river and we had lots of fun with them. They even took care of us when we were close to the river. And Munro also gave us fresh chicken eggs. We brought them as souvenir for our families and friends and they loved it.

Munro's farm was beautiful! I would highly recommend people who want to learn or see homesteading first hand to visit. The host, John, was very helpful and accommodating. Definitely coming back again in summer.

The "Unit" Private Cabin
Rejuvenating writer’s retreat
I loved staying at Munro’s farm with my pup. I stayed for a few days to read, write, and retreat. Munro was attentive and kind, bringing me a heater for my cabin on a rainy night. It was great to roam the farm, see the goats and chickens, and meander down to the stream. I will be back!

Munro is as gracious host with a huge heart. He knows much and cares much about his land, what he has been able to build on it is impressive. His mission for teaching others and supporting learning on his land is noble -- i am excited to continue supporting him on this.
