Peace and quiet!!!

Perfect spot for a night of peace and quiet. Tommy offered to let me stay a little longer but I had plans to be elsewhere. Totally recommend it and I would definitely stay here again!!

I saw a shooting star!

Private and quiet, easy to find. The host saw me pulling in then biked down, from his house to greet me. Tommy explained the land how and it all connects with other areas historically under my questioning, which was fascinating. I did some exploring of the property when he left. There are a couple, at least, other areas to camp than the main open site. The homestead is so quiet. I'd swear I heard elk or some other animal bugeling? The cities are far enough away that I was able to see stars and a shooting star!!

Directions were accurate, trust the lat/lon and look for the arrow pointing to the left that takes you down to the campsites.
I think I heard turkeys in the morning and some unusual insects at night. I loved the location. I hadn't been in that area of PA before.

A Place of You Own

This place was very private and peaceful. The sites are well wooded so they stayed cool and shady even in summer heat. The firepit was well built and the space well-maintained. This was the perfect place to spend my week away from the world. I’d definitely return.

This was a beautiful spot to park our camper van for 2 nights as we explored Morgantown, Coopers Rock, Deckers Creek Rail-Trail, and the WV Botanic Garden. Tommy is a terrific host!

Excellent basic spot!

Solid, secluded spot with a nice flat space for our travel trailer. A small pond towards the back our dog jumped in. Great place to pass through for a night. Little to no traffic noise.

Had a beautiful couple days to myself on this property, which was a pleasant surprise. Tommy was very responsive which was much appreciated. Beautiful scenery to check out with the pond, some trails, the hammock nestled in the woods. Just lovely, and Tommy was kind enough to track me down when I'd wandered past the entrance to the property and guide me to where he let me have my pick of sites! We chatted for a bit and he was off! It was easy to find enough wood for fires, being it was just a two night stay and no one had been there yet this season. He offered to bring some down if I ran out though. For how reasonably priced his sites are he is beyond accommodating. It was just the getaway needed.

Tommy was a great host during our stay in Morgantown. He was super quick to respond and the campsites were exactly what we expected them to be. There is not potable water directly at the campsites, but a hose is up by his house. You will need AWD to get to the campsites.

Great place to camp! The property was beautiful and camping area was clean. Tommy was great to communicate with, super fast getting back to my questions! Great location just outside Morgantown. Will certainly be back.

This was an excellent spot to camp! It’s close to I-68 and is a great spot to spend the night. Bobby was a great host and I’d happily spend another night here.

What an amazing spot! Secluded, beautiful and quiet. We loved it and would definitely come back if we are back in the area. Tommy was super responsive, helpful and very nice!!

A good stay
This was a really nice secluded area perfect for camping. The field was lush and the grass was groomed well around the fire pit.
Unfortunately, it rained while we were there but it was clear enough to have laid there and looked at the stars !

We enjoyed our stay at Cheat View Outpost! The campsite was nice...a little uneven but workable. We took several walks around the property. The stone facings and Mountain Laurel are gorgeous!

Beautiful area with lots of trails!
This place was great! Tommy was a great host, with instructions that were clear and easy to follow. With multiple different camp sites on his property, there's an area there to suit everyone's needs, whatever they may be. My group and I particularly enjoyed being out by the fields and getting to see the night sky so clearly! Overall, the biggest complaint that my group had was the couple of ticks that we found roaming about on our clothes (we only found two, bid mind), but a bit of bug spray is all you need for that problem. Overall it was a great experience!
