The place has been farmland since about 1926. It became a family horse property with three pastures and now is a small lavender and blackberry farm. While it is limited to two RV sites, there may be farm visitors walking around the area. Tall cedars and fir remain in the back of the property and provide for a forest experience. It is not a commercial campground. We are now turning it into a small lavender farm. About half of the original pasture is now covered in black ground mat and 3,000 newly planted lavender.

The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Visit Vashon Island and relax on a private estate property. Camp overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the secluded beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of peaceful waterfront. Vashon boasts great coffee hangouts, bakeries, galleries, wineries, restaurants (May's Thai, Lunetta Pizza, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant, Snapdragon and others).
WALK THE FIELD BEFORE DRIVING ON IT TO BE SURE you won't sink if its been wet!
Galleries, shops and restaurants in Vashon town; also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest.
Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Fires may be allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.)Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!
Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people. There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate.
There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

A "far out" campground that's not too far out! Camp Moxy Jo's has been imagined to bring NATURE back to us city folks, PLAY back to us adults, and FUN of the outdoors for all. Our private campground is located in a forested area in Federal Way and is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We have two camper vans and two vintage trailers. Goats, chickens and ducks. Firewood and eggs are also for sale. Two large fire pits, a boutique rental, and common areas of a rainy day shelter and pit stop! Parties and events are encouraged! Rent the whole place for large groups!

Enjoy a peaceful stay in a quiet, safe, upscale neighborhood with expansive territorial views of Puget Sound. Both sites are semi private , with 30amp RV outlets, sewage, and water spigots with hose. This space is ideal for a sprinter van or a small RV.
The neighborhood is low traffic for walking with fantastic Salish sea views, and a beach. Redondo boardwalk, aquarium, and beach is a short drive away for easy water access. A Starbucks, Grocery Store, Laundromat, and gym are a 1 mile, quick bike ride or drive away. The Pacific Bonsai Museum is 6 miles away, and a free experience that most visitors find surprisingly interesting. Sea-Tac Airport is 23 minutes away without traffic.

I work as a metal artist out of my garage studio. Welding is not noisy but, grinding and cutting can be. I limit it to 9-6, but can easily shift to other quiet tasks if you ask.

1 acre property, located approximately 5 miles from the hub of Port Orchard, and less than 2 miles from Banner Forest Recreational Park. All the neighbor's also have acreage, so it feels more spacious that the property lines show.😜 Forest/small farm land with campfire pit close by and available, as long as no "burn-ban" is in effect. Local, sandy beaches and docks within walking distance (2miles).
RV/camper/trailer site with electric plug in and garden hose water available. Dump stations within 5 miles of property. Must be checked in by 8pm. Check out is 12pm. Pets are allowed as long as they are friendly, and must be leashed as there are other farm animals loose on property, as well as neighborhood animals. Dogs, Cats, Chickens and Ducks on property. High-prey drive animals not permitted. Campers must clean up after their pets immediately.
RV/Trailer site can accommodate a 40+ ft trailer/RV including slide-outs and vehicle. Site is almost level, but longer RVs may need leveling. Terrain is firm, compacted grass and gravel.

Neighborhood is absolutely stunning, gorgeous view of the sound and Olympic mountains. Parking spot is cozy and well maintained. The area feels very calm and safe. The owner also issued me a partial refund for leaving 2 days early which was really helpful.

Weekend Trip to Cole's Cabin on Anderson Island
It was a wonderful quiet peaceful retreat. We didn't do much of anything except enjoy a beautiful view, have warm bare feet finally! and enjoy each other's company.
We will return in a more adventurous time.
Fred was a wonderful host & yes, the brownies are good, especially with a cup of mint tea before bed!

This Hipcamp is the most beautiful Hipcamp that I've camped at. The view is incredible at sunset and sunrise. The campsite is huge allowing big RVs and group camping. It is also really private. Highly recommend!

The cabin was amazing. Fred was an amazing host and, both from our stay and the reviews left in the guest book, seems very good at reading people and meeting their wants and needs in every respect.
The cabin was clean and getting to watch the sunrise on the private beach was amazing. Would definitely recommend and go for another visit.

Amazing views and privacy. Easy to access, and the beach and lighthouse give fun areas to explore nearby. We saw geese, ducks, and dear around the property. We got lucky for a nice sunny March weekend, I imagine this spot gets popular as the weather gets nicer.

Pro Tip: Take the south ferry back and go through the Sea-Tac Rest Area if you need to dump RV tanks.

We had a great stay at Cole’s Cabin. It was our first time to Anderson Island and we enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and warm and quiet. We happened to be on island the last day the store and cafe were open as the owner is retiring, so come prepared with everything you’ll need for your stay as those places are no longer an option for last minute provisions.

What a perfect spot! So happy my husband and I found out about Anderson Island and this cute cabin. With the short ferry rides and quick drive to anywhere on the island, this made for a perfect weekend getaway for us and our 7 year old. The microwave went out on us when we arrived but the host was quick to resolve the issue and replaced it with a brand new one. We loved reading through the books and also the private beach access close by, was our favorite part. It’s a nice wooded walk down to an untouched beach with sea glass and whole shells from lack of foot traffic and picking. The mattresses and blankets were so soft and cozy and even with a compostable toilet outside and no running water, we never felt like we were “roughing it” too much. The locals were so friendly and seem to love living there. Talk to them and they give great stories and insight. We chatted it up with folks and were given a private tour of the farm old homestead located at the historical society and bought some shirts and treats at the gift shop. We actually ended up staying an extra night since it was so nice and didn’t bring enough food but the golf course restaurant, that is very close by was open late and fed us while we watched the Seahawks game. Since we were out of coffee, we hit up the cute diner for breakfast and coffee after we checked out of the cabin and then drove to see the abandoned sinking ferry and old gas station. Still more we want to explore so we plan on being back soon!
