This cozy cottage is equipped with a queen size bed in a lovely sleeping loft, a small but useful kitchen, a large trex deck with patio furniture, a comfy couch and small dining table. The separate, but luxurious, bath house has a full sized shower, sink, and fully plumbed flushing toilet. There is even a small stacked washer and dryer available. Laundry soap available for purchase. Name brand (no dollar store stuff here) shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
A cozy heater keeps the tiny house warm on cool days, but there is no air conditioning. The shady woods stay nice and cool, and there are lots of screened windows to let in the breeze. The sleeping loft also has two screened windows and a fan if the nights are warm.
The kitchen has a gas 2 burner stove, a mini fridge, toaster oven, hot water kettle, french press coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, and other basics.
The bed has 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases, and blanket. As well as a comfy coverlet. A feather alternative duvet is available for colder nights.
There is only one bed and it is not recommended for small children to sleep in the loft as there is no safety rail or gate up there. If a child is present it is recommended (almost required) that they sleep on the couch in the lower living space.

The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the property. We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey.
The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups!
Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi.
About the campground:
The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins.
There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊
The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry.
About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you.
About the site:
This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost.
The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils.
The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart.
The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience.
A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake.
If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder.
(Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach.
Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away.
A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009!

Right off the 101 fronting Hood Canal, this cozy motel and RV park is 1 mile from Hoodsport and just down the road from Lake Cushman. It sits 30 minutes from the entrance to Olympic National Park with easy access to Staircase Trailhead and Campground. A quick hour and forty minutes from Seattle and you can watch orcas breach, salmon swim, and bald eagles fly! Our crew is kind, facilities clean, and amenities are quality. Brand new benches at each site that also fold to become a table!
Amenities include beach access, barbecue facilities, coin operated laundry, hiking trails, observation decks, grassy meadow, a guest clubhouse with showers, and a boat dock. Guests also have access to a hot tub, a picnic gazebo, and a communal lounge.
There are several different types of RV sites ranging from creekside, pull throughs, and water views. All sites are FHU (full hookup) and there is wifi/internet on site for RV guest use.

This camper and location are every bit as adorable as the photos make it look, and Camas is a great host- she left us flowers, chocolates and drinks and Gabe is a very warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Small touches and personalized correspondence set this apart from other accommodations anywhere. The welcome letter even acknowledged that the fresh flowers left for me might be difficult to carry by bike.
Immaculate and appointed with everything a traveler might need.
Like that perfect restaurant you hesitate to tell others about, lest it become hard to get a table.

We absolutely loved staying in the yurt it was very spacious with plenty of extra moving around space. The host left us lots of candles and other essentials to use during our stay. The outside firepit, bbq and hammock is a great addition. Although the mosquitoes where out with a vengence we managed with the spray and tiki torches our host also provided. (Understandably so since we had a nice good rain a day before our trip)

We (my partner, myself, and our two dogs) had a fantastic time at neighborwood. Everything is as advertised and more. It was our puppy’s first outdoor adventure and we had everything we needed to make it a stress-free trip. We are so glad we opted to stay here instead of doing a traditional tent camp. You are tucked away in a beautiful, quiet place but also have the amenities to make the trip easy. Tyler is a very sweet and helpful host and his dogs are very friendly. The island itself is very peaceful and the perfect little getaway with few cars and quiet parks with great access to the puget sound. Would recommend and we hope to be get soon!

1 night at Pipe Lake Cabin
Cute place, but too close to the other house and dock to be a favorite place for us. We kept our dog on leash since the house on the same property also had a dog visiting. Great for a little family or if your priority is lake time. They have kayaks to rent but I didn't see life vests. If you use the heater fire place use the extension cord from the bed drawer otherwise it will keep tripping the breaker. Very responsive host, nice little dock and cute walkway down. We brought blankets because the cost to add them seemed too high considering the cost of the rental, but when we arrived there were blankets and pillows. Would have been nice to know as our car is small😂. I'd suggest bringing a camp shower if you plan to swim. We were grateful to get out for a night.

Argh!! Absolutely loved staying at The Plank and Pillow! Fabulously themed pirate cabin right on the lake with all the water crafts needed to enjoy the surrounding area. The lake is huge with lots of fingers but quiet due to motor boats being limited to 5mph. The hubby caught 2 big fish off the pedal boat, the kayaks were used till we could paddle no more, and my 17 year old loves herself a paddleboard! Roasted hotdogs and s’mores at the fire pit. The evening lighting that kicked in on its own was very cool! My crew has stayed at many a lakeside cabin and this is our new favorite spot. We had such a good time, even with cloudy weather and using a portapotty. Exceptional location, exceptional hosts! We highly recommend and will definitely drop anchor again in the future

This place was great! So much to see and explore. The outdoor kitchen area was well setup and stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. My kids loved the games and the big net, which they played on for hours. Overall I'd recommend it to other families for sure.

We loved our time here! Gary is so kind and welcoming. The baggins inn site was awesome! Our tent was clean and spacious. The shared kitchen was awesome! We had everything we needed and the whole vibe was so chill. Our kids loved running throught the forest and playing all the games that were centrally located. As parents, we felt so relaxed and comfortable. Our kids LOVED their time and asked to go back the moment we got in the car.

Virginia is the best host. What a cute and hidden hideaway. The yurt was massive and the Forest gave us so much to explore. Reception is spotty so plan on disconnecting and enjoying nature. My son and I had great quality time.

I loved staying at the yurt. It truly is secluded and had a beautiful short walk through the forest to get there. Inside the yurt has lots of thoughtful details like lanterns, tea, and extra blankets. The yurt also smelled wonderful, perhaps the type of wood it is made with (?) and was very clean. I have stayed at many unique places and this is one of my absolute favorites.

Absolutely amazing! Our 17 month old was in heaven with the whimsical campgrounds to walk around in and lots of fun toys and games! We’re already planning for a longer stay there next summer. Highly recommend for families!
