A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. We do not have WiFi, but there is cellular reception through most providers. Because of the delicate nature of the 120-year-old house and heirloom-plant-filled yard, we do not accept pets. This was such a cool stay. The location was perfect and we had an amazing time exploring the whole property. The different areas to relax were very thoughtfully placed throughout the property, and it was a nice walk to the lake. The bed was comfy and the space was clean. Loved having the fire pit at night. Would definitely stay at this magical place again!!

We had a lovely stay at the Dragonfly Den Tent/Cabin! We felt very welcomed and were made very comfortable during our stay. Both Jim and Elona were kind and caring. It is clear that the entire property was planned and built with a love of nature and art. So many small details in the design and in the service made for a magical and comfortable camping experience. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

The cabin was clean, comfortable spot to land after a long day of traveling. My partner and I had a week of volunteering ahead of us- Jenel an aread Khohay made sure we had everything we could need to be well rested. Thank you for having us! Hope to be back next year :)

The house is over 100 years old, and was built by my great-grandfather. It has all the quirks and oddities of an old structure, but is loaded with charm and is a perfect getaway for those who enjoy nostalgic places.

Weekend Trip to Rustic In Ronald

Carol (Shannon) was a very welcoming host. Their house was of nice combination of quirkiness and character yet still comfortable. Our first night there we had a visit by six black tailed deer which spent two hours feeding on apples in the front yard just a few feet from us. On the morning that we left we also had a visit from a mother deer with her two fawns. I'd also have to say it is a nice location to base yourself to visit Cle Elum Lake and the associated campgrounds/trails/fishing/swimming areas. Lots of outdoor recreational activities to do, all within a short driving distance. Overall, it was a great visit! Thanks Shannon!

What stood out most to me were the gracious hosts! Yuliya &her husband ( feel terrible I can't remember his name) went above and beyond to make sure any little need was covered in order to make relaxation a top priority. The sites were mostly set apart enough so you felt you had your own private space, the sani cans were super clean, and wood was provided for a fire. She even shared a secret spot down to the River I could access with my dog which was private. Definitely will come back again, best hosts ever!

We had a lovely time enjoying the local "visitors" which included 2 bucks that napped in the yard, a momma deer and 2 fawns, and a momma racoon and 2 babies. We enjoyed the rustic charm of the place, and it's history. Great people to work with. For sure will visit again.

1 night at Cedar River Retreat

We had such a wonderful stay at Cedar River Cabin! We visited with our toddler and absolutely loved our time there. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and peaceful, exactly what we were hoping for in a relaxing family getaway. The cabin was very thoughtfully stocked and had all the amenities we needed. We especially appreciated having plenty of cooking supplies, which made it easy to prepare meals during our stay. There were also logs available for us to use, which was such a nice touch and made the cabin experience even cozier. The location was great as well. There was a really nice pizza place nearby when we didn’t feel like cooking, and we felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. It was a wonderful place to slow down, enjoy the surroundings, and spend some quality time together as a family. The host was warm, welcoming, and very responsive, which made the whole experience even better. Everything felt well cared for and thoughtfully arranged for guests. We left with some really lovely memories and will definitely be returning to Cedar River Cabin. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful, and family-friendly getaway!

loved this little glamping/cabin, it was a perfect escape. the cabin had all the essentials to cook breakfast and dinners. s'mores on the deck at night, and the private dock and lake during the day were fantastic. neighbors are very close but that did not bother us one bit. can't wait to come back, this is a rebook spot!

Khohay and Jenel were lovely and their place was a perfect weekend stay. The tiny house was beautifully decorated and so serene. We woke up to bird song and sunrise over the lovely property and farm. It was the perfect location for exploring Mount Rainier National Park. The facilities were great including the communal kitchen and shower. Hope to come back sometime!

Alder Grove Retreat was such a beautiful space! It was surrounded by trees and had a beautiful view of the forest. We really enjoyed the sauna and the peacefulness that the space offered. Dawson was very communicative and the experience felt well thought-out. Dawson and Gabrielle are also wonderful people if you happen to run to into them! Highly recommend and would come again

Yuliya and her staff were very friendly and accommodating and offered good advice on how to best enjoy Mt. Rainer area. The tent was spacious with 2 queen inflatable beds with full bedding which were quite comfortable.

We loved camping at yuliyas campsite! We flew in from out of state, and yuliya provided everything we needed and more to have the best camping and hiking experience. Our site felt secluded and cozy. We were nervous about the only bathrooms being port a pottys, but they were so well kept and cleaned. They were cleaner than some gas station bathrooms we've been to haha exceeded our expectations. Yuliya is a great host!

It's a lovely property with well maintained yurts and a fully stocked outdoor kitchen with an electric stove. Not far from Rainier, it makes an excellent base camp! We were allowed to have a camp fire because it's private property, which was a lovely surprise. My kids loved roasting marshmallows and star gazing! There are hosts who live on the property but their homes are far enough away it felt private. A couple of the yurts are close together so just pay attention to the map if you are in only one yurt and don't want to be next to someone else. Would highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay in the Sun Tent. The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, private, surrounded by trees, and tucked near the creek with incredible views of the surrounding foothills. It felt like a true escape into nature, but the electricity, lighting, comfortable queen bed, and nearby outdoor kitchen, shower, and composting toilet made the stay easy and comfortable. The tent itself was spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of headroom and room for our belongings. At night, the stargazing was fantastic, and falling asleep to the sounds of the creek was incredibly relaxing. This was one of those special places that feels even better in person than it looks in the photos. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable glamping experience.

Wow, this host literally has everything you might need to camp already there and set up for you to just show up and use! It was so convenient, clean, and the level of detail in supplies at each campsite was next level! We had a comfortable stay and will be back. To be able to camp and not have to deal with all of the set up and tear down or millions of little things you have to remember to pack was everything! Just brilliant!

Beautiful mountain and wildflowers

Arrive early in the morning to avoid parking crowds at Paradise. Instead we enjoyed the wildflowers at the Stevens Canyon overlook and waterfall at the Box Canyon picnic area trail to Middle Stevens Creek Falls.

Mt. Rainier is just incredible. Lines and traffic can be long, but it was absolutely worth it. Arriving early (before 7:00) or late (after 5:00) on weekends worked well for us.
