Welcome to Christmas Tree Ridge Hello, This space overlooks the Tahuya Valley to the south and sits along the edge of a deep, forested gully to the east. Once described as a sea of evergreens, 20 mins from town, spot to rest, and recharge. Can feel remote, is very quite often. But on a dead air day, you may hear every little noise that humans make in the distance but most days just wind blown tree noise. 🏕 Site Overview: (See the site map in photos) Valley Ridge Lookout – Largest, the upper site, w/TiPi, big views, outdoor sink; cold shower, with outhouse nearby. Gully Vista – A hike-in, tent/hammock site, via a narrow trail down into the gully. West Perch(closed) – Smaller site with water and power, tucked along the western edge, pull through parking. Closed, future home of TiPi. Side Step – Closed/contact me. Have stuffed parked here at the moment. Seen most guests tent camp or bring vans. If your trailering, and the trailer weighs more than your 2WD tow vehicle, this place isn’t the best match. ✅ What Makes This Place Special: Big south skies—great for moon/stargazing. Backs up to 150+ acres of state timberlands. Hunters: check regulations. The new link trail connects the camp to the Howell Lake trail. Tight trails at first then opens up. We’ve got firewood— not perfectly dry but it burns. Kindling needed in wet seasons. Trash-free land. Please keep it clean, you're welcome to burn paper products and I encourage you to buy more paper and less plastic. Please pack out all waste with you. ⚠️ A Few Notes: Steep drops —stay alert, especially at night. 1-mile dirt driveway is bumpy—take it slow. New 2022 Well, Fresh water, but I can't legally recommend drinking it since it is still a temporary water setup. Can fill tanks directly from the well if asked. We love this land and look forward to sharing it with respectful guests. Let us know if you have any questions before you roll in. Yes, I used almost all the characters up and similar to every site description as well, enjoy. I don't get to do creative writing often 😄

3 sisters and our brother in law decided we wanted to make a place where people can enjoy the Northwest that we grew up in. It doesn't matter if you bring your own tent, drive an rv, or rent the luxury tent, the great outdoors is there for all to enjoy! We have great places to pitch your own tent and enjoy the rustic pleasures just being outdoors. The sites are rustic and access to trails are nearby. We also have a wonderful covered outdoor kitchen with propane grill, microwave, and coffee pot. A safe place to gather with family. Bring your RV and park and have a large site to yourself. You have room to spread out your awning without hitting the next vehicle. Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Also if you are in the mood you have a covered kitchen to meet and mingle with other guests. We also have a big screen tv in the kitchen so you don't miss the Seahawks games. Drive in and enjoy a lovely view of unspoiled woods from the deck of your canvas tent. Enter the door into a spacious area with a king or queen size bed and small kitchen area. Each tent has its own heat source for your comfort. Each tent has its table right outside on the deck but it you are feeling social come enjoy our outdoor kitchen. We are open year round and It is different every season Our guests love staying here "This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out."

My family bought this property from a wonderful man renowned in the world of plant pathology. My father once asked him, "George, what is the secret to a long and happy life?" George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Enjoy a different scene with the changing tide. Bald Eagles, Salmon, Great Herons. One night stays may be optional for an additional fee. Message for more info before booking.

Welcome to Olympic Wanderer! This fairy-tale nature retreat creekside cabin will wow you with its stellar location, lush grounds, hot-tub, and stylish interior. The cabin is nestled in a forested community next the hood canal, famous for its rich waters and shellfish harvesting. This is the perfect base for your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, and is a great central location close to endless amazing hiking trails, including Olympic NP and multiple state parks less than 10 minutes away. The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!) GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked. CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable. All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside. ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide. SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :) STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.

Professionally managed by RR Bed and Breakfast, on site. Highlights: -- Easy on/off from US 101 at SR 3 (Shelton) -- Single cottage and RV site = privacy -- Pet-friendly -- Stone firepit with half-moon seating -- Forested trail to Mill Creek -- Kayak/canoe to Lake Isabella (access is easier from the nearby WDFW boat launch) Details: 17 min to Hood Canal, 30 min to Lake Cushman, 50 min to the Staircase Entrance of Olympic Natl Park (33 miles). Perfect location for setting up camp with your RV, then taking your car up into the Olympics. Looking for dog-friendly hikes? Several Olympic Natl Forest and Skokomish Wilderness trails can be accessed from Lake Cushman, including Mt. Ellinor, Mt. Rose, and Mt. Washington. When returning, enjoy what the property has to offer. Of the 11 acres, 10 acres are comprised of wetlands and their buffers. A trail winds down to Mill Creek just 1/4 mile downstream from the outlet of Lake Isabella. Here the creek is wide and it is permissible to hand launch kayaks and canoes. The trail is 1/3 mile long and the shoreline is required to remain unimproved, but the reward is access to conservation shoreline rarely seen by man. The lake is 200+ acres and boasts Lake Isabella State Park and a DFW public boat launch for easier access. The wetlands are critical for maintaining water quality for the local shellfish industry; access is confined to the trail and creek access needs to be gentle. But if you pause for a moment along the shoreline you'll be rewarded as wildlife begin to stir from their hiding places. Song birds, rabbits, deer, voles -- yes. But also river otters, beavers, ducks, and owls. Mountain lions and coyotes are possible, and salmon run Mill Creek. Between our rental cottage and RV site is a large propane fire pit with half-moon seating - perfect for roasting S'mores late into the evening or stargazing in a region remote from city lights. With just a single RV site and cottage, the nearest neighbor acres away, and only State land between the property and Hwy 101, you can expect a private stay in a forested setting with easy freeway access to the Olympics on one side and an idyllic private creek side nature preserve on the other. We welcome you to the beauty of Washington's Olympic Peninsula.

Cute little wood cabin on a large, quiet lot, with covered porch looking out towards the water near the end of Cole's Point. Gravity fed fresh water at the sink on the porch. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. This special piece of land is over 3 acres and was one of the famous strawberry farms on beautiful Bainbridge island. West facing and full sun, this property is home to wildlife including bats, owls, coyotes, eagles, osprey, red winged blackbirds and deer. Bordering a local 2 lane highway, the property has stunning territorial views of Meigs park. Very private area where you have the run of the bottom portion of our property. The Hobbit house was built by our family as a 5th grade project for our daughter Rose and her friends. Now we have converted the cozy living space to glamping, to pay for her college in Worcester Massachusets! “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”-J.R.R. Tolkien You don’t have to go to New Zealand to stay in a hobbit house! Hand-built by our family, this cozy in-hill cabin located in the lower area of our property is something right out of a Tolkien novel. Very LGBTQ+ And BIPOC friendly. This one room Hobbit Hole has everything in it's 7.5x15.5' (cozy): Comfy convertible bed/couch complete with linens, a small table with 2 chairs for playing games and eating, puzzles, games, snacks, hot water kettle, coffee maker, bluetooth speaker, electric fireplace, books, sketchpad with colored pencils, and more! A rustic wooden floor (with some paint splatters) and a braided rug give you a feeling of comfort and home. On site we have a private portable bathroom complete with hand-washing station, and an outside combination fire pit and charcoal barbecue with a grill top and s’mores sticks provided so you can cook over a wood fire or coals! And an outdoor table and chairs that are super comfortable! The house itself is heated, insulated, and has working electricity/outlets for computer or phone charger. Clean bedding and pillows provided, washed in fragrance-free detergent between each guest. We provide a full water jug with spigot, hot water kettle, teapot, assorted teas and 2 mugs. Private area of the yard with plenty of room to relax. We have a disc golf goal and discs to use as well. Firewood is available for purchase onsite for $10/milk crate full. This comes with a kindling kit. Territorial views of the tree line and sunset views to die for! We are located near Meigs Park as well as a 10-minute walk from Manitou beach and an easy bike ride to the ferry that goes to Seattle! 2 miles from the Grand Forest and 3 miles from Battle Point park. We are exactly 3 miles from the ferry terminal in a convenient mid-island location. NEED TO KNOW (managing expectations):A note on the bathroom: the hobbit hole is small and will not fit a bathroom or plumbing. Your nearby private portable restroom is cleaned thoroughly between each guest and serviced (pumped out) weekly. We consider our listing to be “glamping”. Also our property borders a local 2 lane highway and you can expect road noise mostly during the day and evening. While it is a private setting you can expect to hear the road. Weekends and evenings it is quieter, and when the door is closed it is quiet. The Hobbit House is suitable for 2 guests or 2 adults and a small child that can share the bed. The bed is a queen size, and we can't allow sleeping on the floor as the door opens inwards and is a safety concern. However, additional guests are welcome to bring a tent and camp outside, for $20/tent, up to 6 additional guests or 2 tents, whichever is smaller. Let me know when you are booking that you'd like to bring additional guests and we will adjust the costs accordingly. WANT TO SEE MORE? We are on Instagram @ hobbithouse98110 and there are videos of the space to give you a solid look at what is in the space. On you tube we have a nice video giving a tour of the property and the hobbit hole. Look for "Hobbit House Bainbridge Island". We look forward to hosting you!

We are so excited for the 2026 season! Book your full-venue rental now before spots fill up! We have been busy on some upgrades in the off season including new furniture for the deck site, new sit spots on the trails, new benches and swings located throughout the forest and planting privacy trees. Cant wait to see you this season! We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

We invite you to come and enjoy the homestead campground we’ve created. We moved here a little over 5 years ago to create a peaceful and relaxing environment where you can connect with nature and disconnect from your busy lives. We have two private sites that offer unique accommodations that are perfect for a group of friends, a family trying out camping for the first time, or a couple looking for a romantic getaway in the woods. During your stay you can feed the goats and meet some of our other charming farm animals. Sustainable living is important to us and we love to inspire people who may be interested in such a life by teaching what we've learned and showing how possible it is. We are always looking for ways to improve our land, our life and our campers experiences. Ask us questions, give us ideas and enjoy our growth with us.

Cole's Cabin on Anderson Island

22mi from Belfair State Park · 1 site
Want to add boating to your visit, reach out to South Sound Sailing Tours / Capt. Corey (360) 489-7476, CaptainCorey76@gmail.com .
