The lofted full bed is cozy, but don’t bop your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows. Everything is washed with free and clear detergent for sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove, coffee supplies (keurig pods,pour over coffee with creamer/sugar), wine opener, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. One block away is Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. A mile north, explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. 2 blocks south is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has breweries, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, and plenty of coffee shops/restaurants.

The yurt doesn't have heat, water, or electricity. It's like a big tent. The host's home is nearby (only about 60' away) so this is not a remote location. This cozy cottage is equipped with a queen size bed in a lovely sleeping loft, a small but useful kitchen, a large trex deck with patio furniture, a comfy couch and small dining table. The separate, but luxurious, bath house has a full sized shower, sink, and fully plumbed flushing toilet. There is even a small stacked washer and dryer available. Laundry soap available for purchase. Name brand (no dollar store stuff here) shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. A cozy heater keeps the tiny house warm on cool days, but there is no air conditioning. The shady woods stay nice and cool, and there are lots of screened windows to let in the breeze. The sleeping loft also has two screened windows and a fan if the nights are warm. The kitchen has a gas 2 burner stove, a mini fridge, toaster oven, hot water kettle, french press coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, and other basics. The bed has 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases, and blanket. As well as a comfy coverlet. A feather alternative duvet is available for colder nights. There is only one bed and it is not recommended for small children to sleep in the loft as there is no safety rail or gate up there. Cute little wood cabin on a large, quiet lot, with covered porch looking out towards the water near the end of Cole's Point. Gravity fed fresh water at the sink on the porch. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the property. This was the loveliest cabin! It had everything I needed and so much more. It was cozy, had so many thoughtful touches, quiet, clean, and beautiful! Highly recommend and can’t wait to be back. Weekend Trip to Rosebud Equestrian

Nice place! Our kids loved the horses in the morning and absolutely beautiful location! The yurt is a little difficult to find if you arrive in the dark. You park near the stables but it is down a little road past the roofed arena and then to the left. Maybe 1/8 mile total from parking. The horses were a little loud at night, but our toddlers slept soundly through it. Would stay again for the price and location!

Weekend Trip to White Moth Lodge

This was our favorite Hipcamp stay to date! The site had everything we could need and then some. The barn was a perfect sleeping space for my partner and me. We appreciated the included firewood and s’mores fixings which we enjoyed on our second night outside at the fire pit. The string lights were both aesthetically pleasing and also helpful in illuminating the paths to the fire pit and well-kept and clean outhouse! We loved wandering around the property to find different types of mushrooms and hear a variety of birdsongs. You really feel like you’re out in the beautiful forest but close enough to town to get what you need and a good bite to eat!

This site was easy to get to using the ferry, and was only about 15 minutes away from the terminal. The yurt was tucked into the woods, a few minutes walk from the main house, and felt totally secluded once we were there. Everything was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. Tea and coffee were well stocked, and the candles made the off grid site super romantic. Depending on your cellular provider, you might not have service while there. The toilet was a little finicky, but there’s a clean outhouse behind the yurt and Virginia was super responsive. I plan to come back again!

A secluded, awesome yurt in the woods. Battery packs were provided for plenty of power and propane for warmth and cooking. Everything was amazing, quiet and peaceful. It was so cool seeing the goats and emus as we came and went too 🥰

1 night at Secluded Forest Yurt

We loved the beautiful layout space and ended up sleeping really well. The hammock was such a sweet touch to check out the starts at night. There was an issue with the toilet so we were offered a discount to use the woods instead. All in all, it was a great stay and Virginia was fast with communication!

This camping experience was magical! Paths to wander about with a view of Mt. Si and beautiful horses everywhere. Our yurt was clean and peaceful. The entire host family taught us about the animals on the farm and we were a 4 min walk across the street to the river!

Weekend Trip to Cedar River Retreat

This forest retreat was adorable! Cedar River has everything you need to have a good time from string lights to the trail nearby. Site felt secluded with plenty of us to set up tents alongside the cabin. We especially loved the bonus experience of live music and food up at the main house for the Forest Session with Kurt Lindsay. Definitely worth it.
