Rooster Haus Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving permanent sanctuary to neglected and abused farmed animals, with a special focus on roosters. The sanctuary is located on 5 forested acres just 40 minutes from Seattle in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. We are just minutes away from Snoqualmie Falls, near hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, lots of tourist attractions, and even an incredible vegan cafe, The Black Dog Arts Cafe, where you can enjoy amazing food and live music. Rocky's Retreat and our dispersed campsites are located on one private fenced acre of the sanctuary. It is a truly unforgettable vegan sanctuary experience, and all monies from your stay go directly to caring for our 100+ residents, including roosters, hens, peafowl, turkeys, ducks, pigeons, dogs, cats, and fish.***Stunning cabin glamping in the woods!*** + Come step away from the world (with wifi though!) and surround yourself with trees on an animal rescue sanctuary. + This is a one-room wood cabin with living space, lofted bedroom with queen-sized bed. Entire space is yours. Living space has couch that can serve as extra twin bed. + The cabin features a kitchenette with cafe seating, small fridge, dinnerware, silverware, filtered water pitcher, small toaster oven, electric kettle, Keurig machine, coffee, tea, raw sugar. Cabin offers glamping experience: running water is at sink 15-feet outside the cabin with paper towels, and there is a porta-potty. + Enjoy the surroundings with hiking, elk viewing, rock climbing, kayaking, bicycling trails that can be accessed from our property (Snoqualmie Valley trail is off of our road). Other tourist activities include Snoqualmie Falls, Tweeds Cafe (featured in the series "Twin Peaks"), Mount Si, historical railroad museum, steam train rides, bird watching, shopping/restaurants, outlet mall, golfing, and much more. + There is a propane fire pit outside the cabin (to protect our beautiful woods, no other fires are allowed). + The cabin is vegan and we offer two different sized vegan snack baskets as options for purchase. + The cabin is on a property that is a sanctuary for roosters and other avian species (ducks, pigeons, a turkey, among others!). There are also a couple of friendly dogs on the property, who stay close to their owner. It's a quiet refuge, though be prepared that you could be awakened to the crow of the roosters! + Parking on the property and wifi are included. + Basic rules: Quiet hours after 10pm Check out by 11 AM No shoes worn outdoors are allowed inside the cabin. No smoking inside the cabin nor anywhere on the property of the sanctuary. No vaping inside the cabin. No fires allowed anywhere on the property (though can make use of the propane firepit that is outside the cabin).

Cozy camping with feathered friends

We had a great time at Jenny's place; she was super communicative, helpful and extremely friendly! The tent is very comfortable and cosy and had good amenities like the fridge, coffee maker, fan & outdoor enclosed area for a propane fire. It was also really cool to take a short walk through the area where the rescue animals live, some really interesting chickens/roosters/birds. Jenny even arranged for us to get transportation to and from a concert we were going to at Remlinger Farms close by. We wish had had stayed for longer; I'd recommend Jenny's place to anyone looking for a peaceful and cosy place to stay in nature!!

It was just as advertised Jenny was an amazing host. She was so great in showing us around. The tent was amazing, comfy. Well thought out for a great galloping experience Vegan snacks were great. Loved the rescue work she is doing

The setting was beautiful and private. The sounds of roosters added to the experience and didn’t bother us at all. Jenny was helpful and a good communicator. We’d definitely stay again.

Just Lovely

With kids

Jenny has created a magical experience. The forest was so peaceful, the tent was so well-appointed, and Jenny was so gracious with her time and recommendations. My son is already asking when we can go back! By day we loved saying hi to all the birds and dogs and exploring the area, and by night we cozied up in the tent playing games and listening for owls. I can't recommend this spot enough.

Magical place

The forest surrounding Rocky Retreat is stunning, lush, peaceful, and full of life. The nurse logs and soft, spongy earth add to the natural magic of the place. It was a truly lovely glamping experience. Jenny is a wonderful host, and the work she does at Rooster Haus Rescue is both inspiring and heartwarming. I highly recommend a stay here!

Jenny was awesome! She was super kind and helpful. The site was beautiful and right by tons of places to hike, eat etc. This was the perfect campsite we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Super magical - highly recommend!

This was such a beautiful and magical property! The area is very private in a large wooded area with adorable string lights, a propane fire pit (which was allowed during the fire ban), chairs, wash station, and a very comfortable and spacious tent complete with electricity, mini fridge, comfy queen size bed, books, couch, and table. It really was an incredible way to spend time in nature with plenty of amenities. Jenny is very welcoming and friendly and met us at arrival to help get us oriented and settled. There are so many amazing birds on the property (note that the roosters do crow a lot in the day but didn’t bother us while sleeping). There is a porta potty up the hill from the tent area near the parking area. Watch out for slugs on the trail in the evening :) We had planned to go out to dinner but we didn’t want to leave the property so ended up picking up food nearby instead to bring back. We loved our stay and my partner even proposed to me there which made the already magical setting even more special and memorable!

This tent was pure magic! Perfect to celebrate the last days of summer before my daughter started school. It was the ultimate glamping experience! Jenny was super nice and stoked the tent with so many fun items! We loved our stay!

Jenny is incredibly kind and welcoming upon arrival. The yurt is comfortable, spacious and well appointed with everything you need for a cozy stay in the trees. I highly recommend walking the property to visit all of her sweet roosters and hens. I look forward to another stay!

Amazing experience

We loved Jenny’s place. The tent was gorgeous and the land was just stunning. The birds on the land were so charming and funny. We loved hearing them in the background. And they did not wake us up at all. They were very quiet in the night and morning! Jenny was an amazing resource, telling us about places to eat and locations for sunset and elk viewing…we got to experience the place like a local. It was perfect. Absolutely recommend. And the bed was sooo comfortable and the sheets were super soft.
