🌲 Camp Vixen 🏕️ Tucked deep in the whispering pines of the Pacific Northwest, this forgotten lumberjack camp hasn’t heard the ripping of bandsaws in decades—but something else still stirs in the woods... Welcome to Camp Vixen, a primitive campground nestled among moss-covered stumps, ancient logging trails, and a fire pit that seems to re-light with every campfire tale. Guests say the forest feels alive here—some even swear they’ve heard low grunts in the night or seen massive footprints near the creek come morning. Set up your tent in the shadow of towering old-growth trees, where fog drifts in like a ghost at dawn and the hoot of an owl might just be answered by something bigger. No electricity, no cell signal, just crackling campfires, starry skies, and the distant sound of... was that a tree knock? Perfect for cryptid hunters, stargazers, and anyone who wants to unplug and maybe meet the forest’s most elusive resident. BYO marshmallows—and maybe a trail cam. Disclaimer: We can’t guarantee a Bigfoot sighting, but we also can’t guarantee you won’t have one.

My stay at Camp Vixen was absolutely awesome. The detail and thought put into the campground, property layout, and all the artifacts really make Camp Vixen highly unique, rustic and the perfect spot. This is a proper campground, with spacing between sites that focuses on privacy. There's boards with signage explaining campground rules. This is a highly professional and clean setup, not a "informal backyard" -- this is a full 13+ acres that will have you feeling more privacy and rustic than any state park campground could ever provide (e.g, this is how state parks should be--valuing privacy and space, rather than population management). You won't be disappointed with your stay here -- plenty of sites for RVs, Tents and even large groups. I plan to be back and book again soon, for friends/family visits, and is a great kicking off point for Key Peninsula exploration or paddling/hiking adventures. Thank you Kyle again for all your kindness, communication and making me feel valued. Your property and hard work is truly incredible and a bar for others!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My family had an amazing time at this spot. It was super quiet, felt like we were so deep into the woods. My daughter enjoyed the camp that she asked if we could stay longer. The sites are all well-maintained and spaceous enough with a designated area to make campfire. Free firewood is a wonderful bonus. Host is very responsive and quick to reply. We will definitely come back and highly recommended.

A Hidden Gem!

5 stars We just wrapped up two nights camping here with our kids and dog and this place absolutely delivered. From the moment we pulled through the locked gate, we knew we were somewhere special. The site is genuinely private and spacious. Getting our trailer situated was a breeze: easy entry, plenty of room to maneuver and turn around. Firewood was provided, which was a wonderful touch. We had a campfire both nights and just soaked it in. The skies here are dark enough for real stargazing, and we took full advantage of that too. Practically speaking, the location is a hidden gem. Close enough to a grocery store that a forgotten item isn't a crisis, and great access to Gig Harbor if you want to explore but you'd never know any of that from inside the site. It feels completely tucked away. We had the chance to meet one of the owners the morning we packed up, and they were just as warm and welcoming as the property itself. It's clear this place is well cared for and loved. We'll be back without question. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet, private escape near Gig Harbor.

We (retired couple and our two dogs) really enjoyed the privacy and openness in our 23’ skoolie. Easy entrance and exit, level parking spot. We set up a dog run to put the pups in when they got too excited off leash. There was some traffic noise from the nearby road, but it wasn’t that bad.

Great site tucked in the trees. Very spacious and private property. The kind hosts accommodated me being nearly 2 hours late from traffic. Slow down when you get close to the property entrance, it's very easy to fly past it.
