This site is a real gem. It was our first Hipcamp experience and it delivered in every way. Secluded, beautiful setting, amazing river access, well maintained sites and toilet, accurate directions from the host, and great for doggos. I wished we lived closer so we could visit more often!

Nice peaceful spot. We didn’t spend a lot of time there in the evening but it was easy to find and had big starry skies across the road from the beach. Hearing the frogs croaking was soothing to fall asleep to. In the morning we checked out the dock at the peaceful lake. Close to pacific city. Would stay again.

We stayed at site 1 which offered plenty of space (and distance from other campers) and private river access. Ready to go firewood was a plus and the bathroom, though a walk from our site, was also very nice. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we would have loved to hang around longer. We attempted to use the showers, but could not seem to keep the hot water running consistently and at a comfortable temperature, so it was a chilly outdoor shower experience. All in all, would highly recommend this location!

It is beautifully laid out and maintained and the composting toilette and hot shower overlooking the Sixes River are a great addition. On top of the physical aspects, Joe is a great host and took time to give me some great hiking/local information. We are already discussing our next getaway there.

Thanks for checking us out! We are ready for another season hosting... We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. has a rustic firepit and your own deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. We have a blueberry patch and 15 heirloom apple trees that guests will be welcome to pick fruit for their breakfast and lunches for hiking /biking adventures when in season . During spring / summer the soapstone run remains deep enough for swimming. I am a mostly, retired restoration ecologist with a place based knowledge of the north coast and will be happy to share “ locals only “ hikes and special experiences you won’t find on the internet for north coast exploration. My intention is to provide a no impact/ sustainable camping site near the beach that are not available elsewhere near CB and Seaside. It is a natural pad for your RV on river rock and wood chips as a base surrounded by native temperate rainforest just outside your door . Sea run trout use the “ soapstone run” from July through October and can be caught ( ideally on a fly rod ) at dawn and dusk with steelhead and salmon from October to March . It’s considered one of the very best steelhead runs on the Necanicum. There is a river cobble / gravel bar that is perfect for evening campfires only a few steps from the parking pad. It can accommodate RVs up to 24 feet to park in a forest glade setting just a few steps from the river . I live at the end of an easement road that will require campers to drive Slowly to the RV site. Campers will be provided some camp fire wood, there are no other amenities on the I look forward to sharing the special place we live and not well know hiking experiences and other activities with hipcampers .

Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 5 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. Make sure your fun doesn't detract from the fun had by other campers. 4. No illegal activity. 5. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. Tillamook is 25 miles. We also offer pasture raised pork for sale. A variety of sausages (breakfast, chorizo, Italian, Bratwurst and French Garlic links) and pork chops.

Hurlys Hideaway

Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left.

Cornerstone Ranch

Cornerstone Ranch is a pristine Ranch of about 500 acres on the Rogue River and against the Pacific Ocean offering too many experiences to count. You can even bring your horse... FYI, Hipcamps map for site locations is not correct. Two go next to the driveway and the other four follow the creek. From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you a few driveways away as that is the property line. Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large red "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. Welcome... The ranch offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet in off season and Port-A-Potties during the summer on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. They have tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about their guests! Would recommend!"

Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is 2-4 people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent Both sites can use the portable toilet & outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe, sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes & includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there.

Your dog(s) or other pets will be considered if kept inside your RV/in a crate/on a leash at all times. Pet fee applies, and you must clean up after your pet(s). We live in the home on the property and can respond quickly if you need anything. Camp sites are off highway and behind a gate, mostly out of view from road; however, as we do lives on the property, it is not entirely secluded/private, and there will be noise from the highway. This is a multiple tent/RV area, and our house is at the top of the driveway, so there may also be minimal traffic passing by your site. There is abundant wildlife on our property, including deer, wild turkeys, black bears (rarely seen), many varieties of birds, and more. While this is exciting and beautiful to see, it is also very important to take safety precautions. Please keep all food contained and secure any garbage. Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. Overview

The Oregon Coast offers 363 miles of Pacific Ocean shoreline, extending from the mouth of the Columbia River in Astoria all the way down past Brookings to the border of California. It’s a great place for campers to explore on an RV road trip, offering miles of hiking trails, Sandy beaches, tide pools, and ample opportunities for crabbing, whale-watching, and sea lion viewing.
