Come enjoy over 5 generations of our families property stewardship, on 370 acres of forested uplands with 30 acres of lowland meadows. We have two Rustic camp areas and a third area offering a pitched Glamping Tent with accommodations. Please bring your own bedding, towels, etc. We have firewood available for $1 per piece and a cash or check honor box if you use more wood than you paid for while booking. There is no cell service on or close to the property, so save or print your maps before you leave and follow the white oval signs to the campsite. 1.1 miles of upper Esopus Creek awaits visitors for fishing native Brook Trout, hiking, swimming, and sunbathing. We have two clean pit toilets, a spring-fed gravity water system, three wash stations, and two showers. A wash station is available at the showers, the kitchen, and the toilets. A large kitchen area with a 16-foot-long counter and a picnic table is also available by the communal fire pits. Please note, quiet hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM. Strictly enforced. No exceptions. Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night. We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking! There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you! Come and stay and say hi!

Back in the day this was all farmland. I purchased this property in 2019 and have been busy developing it. I’ve build a chicken coop, installed bee hives and I have Nigerian dwarf goats. There is a farmstand that opens seasonally. The property is about 6 acres of flat land with several great spots to camp. Across the road is our private forest about 40 acres. Great for hiking and Moutainbiking Learn more about this land: We are conveniently located next to the NY Thruway exit 19 & 209 Highway yet super secluded and in nature’s paradise adjacent to the Sawkill River and across a large private Forrest. There is some road noise from Sawkill road & the Thruway dependent on the spot you choose to set up. If your’e tenting you can be in the woods way up in the forest, but most campers prefer our spot near the Sawkill River. I have fire pits, common outdoor furniture & a gasBBQ’s that can be used. There is chickens, bees & goats & 2 guardian life stocks dogs that live with the goats. I also have a small Terrier & a farm cat. A lot of outdoor activity with bird watching, bunnies, deer & the groundhogs say good night. It’s rural yet only 10 minutes to Kingston uptown and about 20 minutes to Woodstock. About 1 hr from Hunter & Windham Mountain resorts and 45 minutes to Belleayre Ski. We also have a wood fired oven and offer pizza making classes as well as catered meals.

We had such a special weekend camping on Robert's land. Pictures don't do it justice. It is jaw dropping beautiful and very private. Robert is the best hip camp host we've ever had and we've used hip camp for years. He is reasonable, flexible, and very considerate. The outhouse is extremely clean, and he provides firewood for purchase, a fire pit, wash stand for dishes, and a wood countertop perfect for your camp grill to sit on. The location is primo with lots of cute little towns around and hiking trails right off his property. We are definitely making an annual trip here.

PSA vehicle with decent ground clearance is highly recommended and there is no cell service once you drive past Phoenicia.

My family (pack) and I had such a wonderful time at Camp Covid Sit 19! Angie was an amazing host and this site felt very special. There's a lot of love that went into the entire set up and being able to let our pups all off leash was wonderful! We have two big boys and a corgi pup, and it was very safe~ there were no openings in the fencing! So big and little pups are all good here ^^ The site felt private and like a slice of serenity~ We definitely aim to come back to this site, hopefully for longer!!!

Tent site #2 at Balsam Gleann Meadows was a great campsite for my group. Located in the center of a huge field surrounded by mountains - what a peaceful spot! The weather was perfect, cool/dewey at night and sunny during the day. I imagine if it was super hot or windy, campsite #2 would be a bit too exposed. We had our own fire pit, the pit toilets were close by and had a hand wash stations, and the showers were clean and private. The drinking water was a bit far from the campsites, but you pass by when you drive in/out. I'd recommend bringing a jug to refill water. The host, Robert, came by to check on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. He also suggested some things to do in the area and we loved visiting Otter Falls at his recommendation. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely camp here again.

Beautiful and well taken care of property with the mountains in the background - remote enough where you can feel disconnected, but still have amenities like running water, outhouse, etc. Spent 3 nights and felt like we didn't need to leave the property - there were trails and a creek/stream nearby that we dipped our toes in. Owners are super kind too! Plan to come back again :)

The campsite was absolutely wonderful. The facilities were thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need: comfortable chairs, a fire pit, a fully equipped cooking station with a gas grill (fuel provided), and even an on-demand hot shower. All we had to do was set up our tent and relax. The location is tucked within a residential area, which makes it very quiet in the evenings and far more private than staying at a busy public campground. It’s an ideal home base if you’re looking to explore the surrounding area. That said, if your goal is complete seclusion and a truly remote experience, this might not be the perfect fit. Overall, I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the area who wants a convenient, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay.

This place was far above expectations. The site is in town but fairly private, abuts a nice stream and is flat. What really stands out are the amenities and facilities. Power and water are very handy if you've been boondocking. More importantly is the amazing bath house and covered cooking area. Angie has a great eye for detail and most definitely has artistic talents. Everywhere you look, there is something fun to check out and all things function just right and are well thought out. We didn't have a fire but there is a great fire pit, nice chairs, and ample nice wood for burning available. We didn't meet Angie, but we did meet her husband who is very nice and a pleasure to chat with. Lots of good hiking and things to see in the area. as well.

Great Spot! Everything you need is right there. Angie & family are super accommodating and helpful with information on the area. Their site is in the little town of Tannersville which is a great home-base for day trips to a TON of hiking trails and other fun Catskills towns. Weekend Trip to Vonsaladfarm

Alexander’s campsite is nestled in a back lot of his farm/cidery/pizza oven farm. This man seems to do it all. He raises free range chickens, goats, and even has a few friendly guard dogs keeping a watchful eye on the flock. Located through a series of mowed paths in the back of his property - you can see the house but even so we never felt like we were in anyone’s way. We had a fire pit, a few tables, and were about 100’ and a winding path away from the river. The fireflies and thick tree canopy kept the site dark and fun at night. Alexander was a responsive host always answering questions. He let us fill water from the spigot by his home. He even gave us some farm fresh eggs in the morning. A sweet guy! Only draw back - if you’re looking to feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere this isn’t the spot. You can hear the highway all night long.

Had a great time RV camping. Hookup was good and the hosts make sure you’re all situated. They helped us back in and made sure we were able to hook up to everything. There’s good space between you and your neighbors. Showers and toilets were very clean and the upkeep was good. The staff is good about making sure the bathrooms stay clean. People play music and enjoy themselves but it’s still nice and quiet in the evening. Met other campers and most people were friendly. Would refer others to camp there and I would return.

The people and workers at SoHi are SUPER FRIENDLY. They were very helpful in getting us set up in our camping spot. It was very quiet and clean. It was awesome having electric, water, and sewer. We hope to go back soon!
